This is basically just a discussion on the new Kirby game for the Nintendo DS. So, lets here your thoughts!

I really wish Revenge of the King had been playable Dedede. And I REALLY, really wish that another Kirby game had been included as a new remake. Particularly Dream Land 2.

Yeah, Kirby's another of my favorite series I missed a lot of the early days of. This game is the best I've seen since The Amazing Mirror, but I really wanted to see Dream Land 2 and 3 remade since they won't be on Virtual Console...

Don't you mean 1 and 2? 3 was a SNES game, so I would think it could still make it.

I started playing it and I was getting bored...I'm quite disappointed with it. D:

Dunno why...I just am. Something about it makes me D; when I play it.

Ah, I probably did. Thanks.

Have you perhaps played The Amazing Mirror? Your standards could have skyrocketed after a game like that; I know when I played Squeak Squad a while ago, I almost cried. =/

Did they fix the Dream Land remake, by re-inserting the lost level and boss?

No, they didn't. Castle LoLoLo (or FoLoLo if they changed the name to make it the same as the anime) was meshed into the end of Float Islands. After getting on the Warpstar that appears from defeating Mr. Frosty, it takes you to the castle. As for Kaboola, the actual boss of Float Islands, it would be impossible to put him in because you fought him using a Mint Leaf, which was only in Kirby's Dream Land, though, IIRC, he did appear in Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble as a boss, but that wasn't a platformer. If it's any consolation, they did make a remixed title theme from Kirby's Dream Land.

Kaboola, or Kabula as its called, is an added boss in Revenge of the King mode, the Spring Breeze "hardtype". Kirby fights it with the starcraft he uses against Nova

I found Amazing Mirror to be the worst Kirby game. Forgive me, but I didn't find wandering around hopelessly lost and fighting the same two bosses over and over very fun at all.

What I had been hoping for in Super Star Ultra was a sort of "all-star" version of The Arena featuring bosses from the other games in the series, like Cloaked Nightmare, Dark Matter/0/02, Dark Nebula and Dark Mind.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Aww, I liked it because the puzzles were more challenging by spanning across multiple levels. Made me think outside the box to get all the treasures. The multiplayer owned the heck out of Nightmare in Dream Land, and the music was even some of my favorite from the series (Dark Mind's theme still gives me chills).

But whatev, opinions will be opinions. =)

^I enjoyed that about the Amazing Mirror too, but my favorite music is the one when you enter an icy area (I can't really remember it at the top of my head.)

The one game I didn't really care for was Canvas Curse. I found it too different from a Kirby format (though it was interesting at points, it was easy to get angry about.)

Glad I'm not the only one who disliked Amazing Mirror. D: I remember liking Canvas Curse more than most people but I don't remember any of the levels or actually play it at all... All I know is that Drawcia's theme is awesome.

I've been trying to avoid KSSU spoilers (because, you know, Kirby games have such deep and compelling narratives) but the general consensus seems to range from “meh” to "good". I'll probably enjoy it...

Aside from Super Star and Kirby's Adventure, I greatly prefer Shinichi Shimomura's take on Kirby when compared with what I feel is Sakurai's duller, and character-scarce take.

Um, there aren't really many official Sakurai directed Kirby platformers aside the first Kirby and the ones you mentioned.

The remainders are the ones done by Shimomura and the two Flagship platformers.

is Shin'ichi the one who gave us the Dreamland series? If so, I'd be inclined to agree with you. More Dark Matter and animal companions, please.

So I've heard Dark Matter IS in SSU, in the form of 0/Zero appearing, but he's been downgraded---Geoff called him a "Kracko Jr. lookalike."

Still, it's nice that a villain not named Dedede or Nightmare was remembered for a change.
