I didn't see anything about Sadamato and Kojima "likeing" Twilight; it just said that they will be the judges for the Japanese version illustrations for New Moon.
It sounds to me that it's more of a stunt to get people to participate, since the prizes are so cool and plus it's Sadamato and Kojima.

Just because they're paricipating doesn't mean they enjoy it.

I looked over the article, remembering it saying it and saw this part.

According to pixiv, all three judges are "huge fans" of the Twilight series.

My emphasis, not theirs. Pretty much where the claim was made.

If anyone thinks Metal Gear Solid's story is pretentious or horribly ridiculous, then they ended up getting more ammo for their criticism.

Well, that explains Vamp. But still, even Twilight's "holy shit look at us we're VAMPIRES in SUNLIGHT" makes more sense than nanomachines, nanomachines, nanomachines. And that's fucking terrifying.
