A couple of weeks ago, I took up an interest in spriting.
I have already shown my recolours on SPPF, and now I am posting a sprite thread here at Bulbagarden. I have created 6 recolours and 3 mixes. Behold!!!

The bottom three are my mixes, ofcourse. The Octillery+Slowking mix is dubbed Octaking, the Gligar+Mantine mix is dubbed Gligarman, and the Miltank +Shedinja mix is dubbed Holy Cow.
The rest are all various shiny recolours; note that with the Shuckle, I went for a realistic approach by shading the worm parts pink (like a real worm) and the apple a murky green to fit in with it's description as the mold Pokemon.
I used Photostudio for the recolours, and Paint for the mixes. I would have posted more of my recolours, but the evil 6-image limit prevented me from doing that. I'll post them in my next update. There are a few rules, though.....
1= If you want to insult my work, please use constructive critisism. I don't want to see posts like ''LOLZ DAT SUX111111'', without any elaboration whatsoever.
2= Same goes for when you want to praise me and my spriting skills.
3= All the main forum rules also apply here.
So what do you think?

Haha, the Holy Cow one is very clever. Some of the best sprite merging I've seen.

I very much like your Shiny interpretations. They look much cooler than a lot of the Pokémon in their real Shiny form. Shuckle takes the cake, as it stays true to the original principals of Shuckle's normal coloring (like you, I believe it's based on a worm in an apple). You just changed it to a Granny Smith apple color and a realistic pink worm. Much better than the actual Shiny Shuckle. Love it.

The Mantene one doesn't really look much like a Gligar but the rest are really good. You combine the other merges really well, and I especially liked the Holy Cow. :-D

The colours also work. I probably like the Xatu most because I have a Shiny Natu in FB and there is hardly any difference between the shiny and nomal forms of those two.

The horns, and tail are taken directly from Gligar, and rotated to a better angle so they would fit onto Mantine's body.
Anyway, thanks for all your praises, it's really encouraging. Now I've got three more mixes, all of which were rather complicated and took a while to perfect. They are Lantedo (Lanturn+Sharpedo) Tyranniboah (Tyrannnitar+Seviper) and my personal favourite, Oddtret (Oddish and Sentret) This one was made for one of my friends back at SPPF.

Heh..... I just noticed that my Lanturn mix makes Lanturn look much more like a real-life angler fish! The Tyrannitar/Seviper mix is meant to be a spoof of the Netbattle Tyrannitar combo known as Tyranniboah, but I don't really like this one because Tyrannitar's torso looks strange balanced on a snakey body that's three times thinner. As I've said before, I like the Oddtret best, although the Lantedo (which I made only a few minnutes ago) is really starting to grow on me.
