I'm not completely sure if it's science but it probably is for finding side effects and stuff for the drug

So there's a new drug out on the street kiddies! It's known as krokodil (like crocodile) the crazy part about this drug though is it rots your flesh away from the inside out. The drug is already big in Russia and now is working its way to the US. It's already been found in Arizona and Illinois (I live in Illinois too and it was found in this town 10 minutes away from me). This drug is also fairly cheap too so people don't care if it rots their flesh away they just care about how high they get. I just wanted to share it with you guys because I thought it was interesting on how it rots your flesh away and always remember hugs not drugs!
 
I have heard about this... It sounds extremely deadly. I can't believe people actually consume that...
 
I saw a couple documentaries on this. I believe people resort to it because the high is apparently much more intense (though also more short-lived) and, in Russia especially, the ingredients needed are far, far cheaper and easier to obtain for the addicted poor. I was really horrified to see what it did to people (especially with the mortality of users and the withdrawal they get) but I can completely understand how they resort to it in such desperate circumstances.

Well technically they inject rather than intake it. Lighter fluid probably tastes horrible.
 
Man, this sounds as bad as bath salts (I'm gonna run around naked and chew the face off my neighbor's dog! Sounds like fun!). I mean, marijuana is one thing, but something that rots your flesh of is just ridiculous.
 
What is referred to here is actually not the only... err... home-made drug used by addicts here in Russia. We've got excessive usage of tianeptine (usually sold under trade-name "Коаксил", which stands for 'Coaxil'), and that crap also has an effect of 'flesh rotting inside out'. So yeah, be advised that there is a lot more where that came from :/
