Lacey debuts new seasonal Sync Pair with Whimsicott in Pokémon Masters EX this week — Chilli, Cilan, and Cress make long awaited debut October 22nd

A special trailer posted to Pokémon Masters EX's official social media accounts today has revealed that Lacey will be debuting a new Seasonal Sync Pairs this week with Whimsicott, alongside a new Halloween-themed story event featuring them and past seasonal Sync Pairs. Ahead of their debut, Lacey's Spooky Season Sweepstakes have also been launched on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X. Also announced is that Chili, Cilan, and Cress will finally be making their playable debuts together on October 22nd.

Lacey Seasonal Scouts
Lacey (Fall 2025) & Whimsicott's Seasonal Scout will run from October 13th, at 11:00pm (PDT), until October 31st, at 10:59pm (PST). This seasonal sync pair are expected to be released with an expanded sync grid, and to be capable of Sync Terastallization. More information on this sync pair, including their role and moves, will be found on Bulbapedia closer to their release. Their seasonal costume is based on a maid outfit, though immediately apparent what this has to do with Halloween outside of being a black cosplay outfit.

Seasonal Story Event
This year's Halloween-themed seasonal story event, which appears to continue the vague storyline from past year's seasonal events, is presumed to be launching on October 13th, at 11:00pm (PDT), alongside the start of the Lacey Seasonal Scout, though as of writing no date and time has been explicitly given. The trailer shows several short scenes from the event, with Lacey meeting up with a variety of past seasonal sync pairs at the MIdnight Parade. Chili, Cilan, and Cress also briefly feature.

Lacey's Spooky Season Sweepstakes
To celebrate the debuts of this new Seasonal Sync Pair and this new event, special Lacey's Spooky Season Sweepstakes are being held on the official English and Japanese language accounts on X, giving players the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.

For the English competition, 10 winners will each receive a set of acrylic stands featuring Lacey and Whimsicott.

To enter, players must follow the appropriate Pokémon Masters EX account for their region on (@PokemonMasters or @pokemas_game), and then repost the official contest post (English / Japanese) prior to October 18th, at 7:59pm (PDT) / October 19th, at 11:59am (JST).

Chili, Cilan, and Cress debut in Variety Scouts
The three co-Gym Leaders of the Striaton Gym make their long awaited debut in Pokémon Masters EX this month in a set of Variety Scouts, with sync partners Simisear, Simisage, and Simipour. These Scouts will commence on October 22nd at 11:00pm (PDT), and run through to November 9th, at 9:59pm (PST).

These three pairs have appeared several times in-game previously as part of various events, and as opponents in battle, however this will be the first time they have been available to scout and partner with.

Fans who've watched the monthly data from Bulbapedia being posted every month on social media will recall that the three fully evolved elemental monkeys are consistently among some of the least visited Pokémon pages, with Simipour in particular turning into something of a meme for its frequent appearances in the bottom 6. We look forward to seeing if this appearance in Pokémon Masters EX will change their fortunes at all.
