So, do you think that they exist? From the wide known Loch Ness Monster, to the lesser known Lake Champlain Monster, to big snakes in the ocean (=P), what's your opinion?

I personally like to believe that they exist, just because. =P Of course, out of all of those, as far as I know, there is some scientific proof for "Champ", according to a Discovery channel thing, where high pitched chirps were found to exist, as in sonar...Which leads them to think it was some sort of prehistoric whale related to the beluga...

So, discuss.

In Scotland, about 100 years ago now, a huge and completely unknown sea creature was washed up on the shore - dead and completely unlike anything else known. Instead of chucking it back out to sea, they chucked it into a nearby finished Tin Mine and closed the mine up, sealing away all traces of the creature.

Should make an interesting discovery when it's later dug up.

By the way, it's not the Loch Ness Monster - it was on the other side of Scotland.

Whether it was a monster, or just one of many many marine animals we know squat all about is another question though.

The lake Champlain monster ate my uncle's boat. He actually found the boat later, but I'm sticking by my story.

Though with all the modern technology, I don't believe that Nessy could exist without being found. It's possible she existed in the past, but I don't think she's still around today.

I hope that they do exist because it would make life far more interesting. There is much about life on this planet that we don't know.

Well there could be something hiding under a rock on Mars and a probe(?) went right past it. =P It is far deep underwater, with access to the ocean via underwater caves, so there's always that possibility.
