The world ended on December 12, 2012. But the planet wasn't destroyed on that most unholy of days. No, it was in truth the fall of mankind, the collapse of trust between Pokemon and humans, and the rise of daemonkind, demons as Armageddon ravaged Man's world due to the opening of the Gates of Hell. Hundreds of thousands lives were lost to protect their lands from the advances of daemonkind. And those who have survived are fighting back with a vengeance. They will not stop until the demons are beaten back into the holes they crawl out of, and re-ally themselves with their former partners of war.

They are the Devil Hunters.

Style of fighting: Brawler

Personality: She's a firecracker, despite her stoic-ish looks. She's flippant, sarcastic, and not one to shy away from a conflict. However, she can be uncomfortable in some other areas. Her attitude towards demons is simple: attack and you die. Once she goes into her "kill mode", you better be more skilled than her, else she will maim then kill.

History: Tia never did believe in demons and the like, dismissing them to be nothing more than myths, fairy tales, and the like. She didn't know how right some of them truly were...

Tia was born and raised in a rather loose-knit family. Her parents divorced when she was 5, and her younger siblings Alejandro and Natalie were 3 and 1, respectively. She became withdrawn since, while Alejandro became a sports fanatic and Natalie a self-centered bitch of a woman. She was interested in the ballad of St. Lucia of Syracuse, and had the eye makeup in dedication to her, as well as placing the tattoo on her back in reference to her role in the video game DLC "Dante's Inferno: Trails of St. Lucia".

 

[Heroic Sociopath]

Name: Edward Natas

Nationality: American

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Physical: 6 feet tall, long blonde hair, silvery blue eyes, extremely pale, somewhat muscley.
Clothing: Black leather jacket with stylised blue flames on it, Anime T-shirt, jeans, tennis shoes.

Weaponry: One. A beam katana, known as Absolution. Well, technically, not a BEAM katana. It's actually a cylinder of plasma fired back and forth from the handle, a metal rod, and the top, a metal cap with a golden spike, attached to a 5 foot long, quarter tube extending upwards from the katana's side, with an amorphous forcefield around it. Since it's made of plasma, getting hit by it's blue beam is like getting hit by lightning. Electric objects explode, and it actually hurts larger targets more, since it has a larger surface area to hit. electromagnetic field, such as another katana. The forcefield around the plasma scans the object it hits in one billionth of a second, and creates a hole in the field so the plasma can burn it, or doesn't in the case of blockinf attacks (The hilt also has buttons Edgar can press to toggle either of these functions on or off). The katana can be on for about 6 hours when fully charged, with regular demon slashing.

History: Edgar lived a normal life, under the loving care of his parents, his father a corrupt politicisn. His life was shattered when, at twelve, his parents were assassinated. He grew up twisted. He saved up for years, and bought a beam katana, the type of weapon that killed his parents. He eventually became an assassin, hoping to meet his parents murderer. However, his twistedness long ago outgrew itself. He actually let go of his parent's death years ago, and now only uses it as an excuse (to others or himself?) and answer to his greatest question: Why does he love killing people?

Personality: For a professional killer, Edgar is a pretty nice guy. While he has a less-than-healthy love of killing things, he's otherwise a relatively normal otaku. He's also easily manipulated by women. However, he's also very shy, and kind gestures from women confuse him. He's still kind of a perv, but will only do things with women if he's positive they won't mind.

[Ino-Chan]

Name/Nickname: Kana "Chan" Inverse

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Nationality: Japanese/Irish mix

Appearance: Below
(Physical): About 5 foot 6 inches, and skinny for her age. Birthmark like a cloud on her left forearm, average in the rest of physical appearances.
(Clothing): Black shirt with 2 pink vertical stripes, pink pants, black tennis shoes

Weaponry: Kanata blade called "Slayer"

Shaolin Spade, with the handle painted pink

Style of fighting: Sneak attack FTW!

Personality: Seemingly cheery, Kana loves to be manipulative and deceitful. She loves to convince people that her guard is down, then punch them in the face.

History: Normal life wasn't for Kana, as her parents moved her along between them, being divorced. Living in both Japan and Ireland, she learned how to be both a mean drunk, and how to use ninja-style weapons. It wasn't until the Armageddon that she realized she was actually useful in battle. But alas, both of her parents were killed.

Not bad looking, he has light brown eyes with medium-ish very dark brown hair. Nothing special other wise.
Always has his thick-rimmed glasses on, and typically wears a red and black striped shirt with black pants and shoes.

Weaponry: A large broadsword (Think Siegfried from SS4) dubbed "Absolute Zero" It's cursed with the power of Ice, and has a frozen appearance.

Style of fighting: Defensive and Thoroughly Calculated.

Personality: Dreadfully Serious. Not surprised by much, and extremely indifferent. Very, very high IQ, but can be oblivious to obvious things at times. Drowns himself in numbers and order to keep on going.

History: Dexter actually had a happy life and had a close family, a beautiful girlfriend, and great friends before The End, who then had them all slowly taken away from him, be it through possession, murder, or other means. A year ago, he and his girlfriend, Violet were the only ones left. This wasn't going to last long though, as Violet was killed by a demon on a scavenger hunt with Dexter for supplies. The haunting image from the incident was the demon's fiery eyes. This gives him pyrophobia.

Nationality: Distant European roots, possibly Irish; doesn't care too much about her origins.

Appearance:

(Physical):
- Skin is very pale in color, with plain black hair that reaches the small of her back. Her bangs are long, reaching past her nose and parted in the center so that she may see.

- Though her eyes are naturally a vivid blue, her right eye is a bright, pupilless red due to a birth defect; she cannot see in this eye.

- Her body is scarred in various areas, due mostly in part to the war and from one too many close calls. Her oldest and deepest scar stretches from the center of her ribcage to her right hip, and appears to be from a childhood injury.

- She's tall, about 5'11", and weighs in at approximately 134 lbs. with a bust size of 32C. She has a very slight frame and lacks serious muscle in the upper body.

(Clothing):
- Dresses very casually most of the time, favoring tank tops, t-shirts, etc. Dislikes jeans and prefers loose shorts and capris. Goes barefoot often.

- Has a strong penchant for the color blue, which often surfaces in her wardrobe. She curses her red eye and the fact that it never goes with her "style."

Weaponry: Lightweight katana, with a simple black cylindrical handle.

Style of fighting: Fights with a thoughtless, no-holds-barred style. She's had no formal training, but having raised herself in a harsh society from childhood she knows a thing or two about violence. Though generally weak, her lack of muscle allows her to be quick on her feet. She's very persistent, drawing from a wild energy deep within, and can often drive a fight on for hours while sustaining serious injuries. Advice? Do not attack her blind side. She really does not like that.

Personality: Off the battlefield, she's somewhat introverted and doesn't seem to notice people until they address her. She dislikes showing strong emotions such as love and hate, and more often than not, she's incapable of doing so. Because of this, she comes across as cold and uncaring, and will leave the room the moment the atmosphere darkens.

On the other hand, she isn't afraid of laughing and making others laugh. Her humour is often dark and cynnical; the world is going to hell, and she could care less.

History: Her mother died while she was very young, somewhere around the age of 7. She spent the rest of her childhood playing with imaginary friends and relying on quick feet, as well as wit, to earn her supper. She retained her thieving ways until the occurence of Armageddon, when her main objective became survival.

(Physical): Incredibly messy black hair (Joshes is approximately an inch longer) and turquoise eyes. They have slightly longer and sharper canine teeth than average, and thus can make them protrude slightly from their mouth and back again. They have a thin, four inch long scar on their cheek (left for Joe, right for Josh) because they were born Siamese.

(Clothing): Both wear black, tattered jeans. They wear various, fingerless gloves, and several T-shirts on top of each other so they can quick-change. Each have a silver chain around their neck that has a small, see-through vile on it that is said to contain water from a Lugias lake.

Style of fighting: Pressure points/Tag-team

Personality: They can be very sarcastic and stubborn. They have mild ADHD, which causes them to be hyper at inappropriate times.

History: Joe and Josh were born in Snowpoint City. They never knew their father, as their mother went to a sperm bank and never married. She was the gym leader in Snowpoint for awhile, before she sadly died, leaving Candice to take over. When Joe and Josh were 12, they were blessed by the waters, giving them special abilities.

I guess I'll join, getting to blow up demons appeals to me. If alright, I'm making him based off a Kamen Rider, maybe one if you allow, since limits on armorments seem to be rather loose.

Name/Nickname: Jarret/Gabriel

Gender: male

Age: Appears around 18, but doesn't know himself.

Nationality: He doesn't know, but seems Japenese

Appearance:
(Physical): Japanese, black hair, green eyes.
(Clothing): Normally wears a police uniform, but his alternate form is a mainly white armor with golden joints and a bird motife to it, resembling medeivl knight's armor somewhat.

Weaponry:

His armor materilizes from a belt he wears and he's armed with a fencing sword that can be equiped with various effects. When he transforms with his belt, the sword appears in hand and lighting from above strikes it, transforming him into his armored form. He is armed with a weapon that in its default form is a fencing saber called the Salvation's Light. He is capable of 'sealing' demons inside small talesmens, which he can insert into his sword to alter its appearence and powers. He can also lend them to others for their weapons but doesn't like them to be used, as the strain of subdoing the demon's will puts a large strain on the users mind and body. Instead, he normally used a holy amulet to power up his attacks for a finishing move called a Final Seal. His most common is the Holy Seal, which has him slash the demon twice, once vertically and then across the center with his sword energized by an amulet inserted into the sword hilt, leaving a glowing yellow mark resembing a cross, which then causes them to explode, leaving a sealed talesmen behind. He also has Devine Strike, a jumpping round house with an energized leg with the talesmen in his boot. When inserted into the Salvation's Light, the amulet turns the sword into a long sword. Others can use the amulet, but only one with a pure heart and intentions can use its full power.

Style of fighting: He's a very disuplained fighter, using cunning and wit to defeat his enemies.

Personality: Naive, heroic, dedicated to his cause and defeating the demons, strong in faith.

History: He has no past memory except that he was once a police officer. He now utilizes an ancient armored suit called the Gabriel's armor. All he remembers is his name and his perpose is to defeat the demons and help others.

Finished, if he can actuelly be a Kamen Rider, his nickname is Kamen Rider Gabriel, if not, its just Gabriel. I thought, well demons are invading the planet, so maybe some form of character representing devine intervention on mankind's behalf would add to the story. And I love Kamen Rider so I thought, maybe it'd work, up to you.

Question, how difficult will demons be to kill? I mean will normal weapons work on all of them or do they have to be holy or enchanted as Jarret's are?

Mostly, it is difficult to kill, but stereotypical methods are as effective as normal beheading or blowing up. So, it depends on method.

Just to point out, Gabriel doesn't use his Final Seals on every demon he kills, only on ones he wants the powers of them for future use or they'll just too strong to kill without it.
