Hmm... Found a glitch on Gen V White game. Everyone's familiar with the Larvesta Egg, yes? Good. Well, mine hatched, I raised it to Lv. 42 and thought I could get in extra practice with Elite 4. So I went for Caitlin, and battled the Cofagrigus, but used a move by accident. Cofagrigus was faster and took out Larvesta in one hit. Problem is, it fainted, but still had 1 HP! It went to the choose a Pokemon screen and I went to Larvesta, but instead of saying 'CANNOT BATTLE' it said 'IN BATTLE'! What is going on? I sent in my Jolteon but it became a glitch Pokemon and the game froze. :spin: goes :boom:. What happened? Can someone help? No side effects, but :spin: still goes :boom:. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks,

I don't think that's restricted to Larvesta, I've heard of it before.

REALLY?! ...Cool! Let's break some more stuff with glitches!

Yeah, that happened to me too, except I was in the Giant Chasm, battling a Piloswine and Solrock. My Serperior fainted, and I tried to send in Seismitoad, Conkelldurr or Ferrothorn, but the game said they were in battle, but this was the choose a Pokemon screen. Weird.

I have 2 people posting on me in 1 day. Hurray!

...Now can we break stuff with glitches?

It's weird that if so many people have this glitch, Bulbapedia hasn't go it listed yet. Anyone know why?

I don't have an account there, so I don't know why. Maybe they need more research on it, or they're working on it.

I've never heard of any consoles/game carts getting killed by glitching, only save files, and if you have the right devices, you can effectivly destroy all glitched save files if they leave effects on your game.

There is no known method to replicate it yet, as we know it. There was a theory from a user on a Pokémon glitch website that it could be down to the Pokémon in battle gaining enough HP EVs to gain a hitpoint before getting knocked down to 1 HP (or perhaps exactly 0 HP) but testing that, it doesn't work at least in PAL versions.

I think you're overestimating just a little the number of people who regularly research Pokémon glitches extensively and contribute these findings to Bulbapedia (bar a few like Metang, Missingno. Master, SnorlaxMonster and myself, etc.) Project GlitchDex is a far less active project than some of the other projects. While there are many people who research Pokémon regularly, there are only about two or three active websites dedicated to Pokémon glitches and one of which PRAMA Initiative does not have many English speakers.

The Base Stats and learnsets of many Generation I glitch Pokémon were not derived from Bulbapedia users but from Glitch City Laboratories' GlitchDex articles, the main site as of which is now offline. It still shows in some of the glitch Pokémon articles, for example 3TrainerPoké was down on Bulbapedia as erroneously not being able to learn any TM/HM moves until I fixed it.

(I'm sorry if I sound blunt).
