Plot summary from Amazon:

Pikachu and its friends have come to a city with a large drawbridge to play. However, trouble is caused when Mijumaru and Pokabu eat the fruit a group of Gothemme and Darumakka have gathered! Alright then, let's go to the forest on the other side of the bridge to get some more fruit! At that moment, Nyasu and the others appear! And on top of that, the drawbridge is rising, preventing them from advancing! What will Pikachu and its friends do?

Deathmas and Koromori: IT'S PERSONALITY TIME?

I love these shorts. They're really simple and twee, but they're always so well animated and fun to watch. Kind of a bummer they've become more mascot-centric recently, rather than including all the group's pokemon though. But on the bright side, it's good Yanappu gets a look in too, since he's seldom seen in the show (well, imo anyway).

Meh, I really don't care for these anecdotes. I DO care that, like, 99.9% of OLM's animation budget is spent on them while the TV series itself gets nothing, but that's another story.

Surprised Scraggy is absent...they were really promoting him, even more so earlier on when this first aired on ANA, so it's odd to see him missing here.

I don't think it HAVE to affect the ANA shorts, since these have nothing to do with the movies at all... the Meloetta short is more comparable to movies 1-6's shorts, since it's "packaged" with the movie, while these ANA shorts have nothing to do with the movies at all - so there's a chance we'll get both

But we didn't start getting the ANA shorts until 2004, the year the Deoxys movie came out. That can't be just a coincidence.
