Oh when new York is covered with bugs and bullshit activists no one complaims. When every generic black person is a break dancer or a b-ball player no one complains. But when the shoe is on the other violent sport no one else gives a fuck about suddenly it's a controversy.

I am very impressed. Game Freak has done some pretty impressive things through the generations but this one will truly be the lucky seven. I dont understand all the controversy though. Maybe people were expecting a different location than Canada for the inspiration of the region? Personally I was expecting Australia or South America but this is such a smarter move. Well done Game Freak. Cant wait to play these new games! I hope Luvdisc and Unown get mega evolutions.

Not sure if I like the idea, gonna have to wait till more info is announced or confirmed fake, which i do think is fake.
There's a thing such as too Canadian, even though I am partially Canadian.

Some interesting facts about this article you probably didn't know:

1) It is an April's Fool post.
2) It was a month in development. The original plan involved a generic "leaker leaks games, many outraged" deal, until a Canadian theme was set for April Fools.
3) The original (Canadian) regional location was Nova Scotia. Then it was changed to Newfoundland. Finally it was moved to central Canada (Ontario and Quebec)
4) A lot of content didn't make it. Notably, Iris was planned to be named the leader of the villainous team (Irises are a regional symbol in Quebec). However it was cut out to keep the leak simpler, and to avoid any crazy subtext of "American leading a Canadian secessionist movement"
5) All of the people interviewed are inspired after actual Canadian internet personalities. In order of appearance, they are ProtonJon, Slowflake, and Graham Stark and Paul Saunders.
6) The steam-punk moose was a last minute addition after I realized I hadn't added in any actual new Pokémon. The concept was chosen simply based on it sounding funny.

There is a lot more interesting trivia behind this article, but that will be saved for another time.

It's would be pretty cool to see!

However, as a French-speaking Quebecer who wants the independence of Québec, I'm a bit sad that I would be part of the bad guys. But I understand the reasons why people would put them as evil. Or you could get the option to be part of them and divide the region...

Oh, yeah! And Québec looks a bit like Sinnoh too IMO.

Pokémon centres are so free that you actually get money from using them. Also, all Pokémarts are replaced by Tim Hortons, and everything has ridiculous amounts of tax added to them.
