Well hello there everybody! Welcome back to another exciting Round of Up Versus Down!
First and foremost, since I was on vacation and had limited access to Internet, allow ME to congratulate the Gym Leaders on a well fought victory in the previous version.
Additionally (or subtractionally, depending on whether you're going up or down), allow ME to congratulate all of those people who participated in the previous version for proving ME wrong. I had been convinced that it would be a one-sided fight, but it turned into a rather exciting match.
As a result of your hard work, I have decided to post another gag version. This time, though I am taking things in a slightly different direction.
Every single version it's always up versus down. The same two vectors, over and over and over again. Not this time, though. Now we're adding more dimensions to the game than it has ever had before and introducing a left and right! (I know, it's very exciting, perhaps by version 100, we'll finally achieve 3D status!)
This is yet another themed version of up or down to follow on from the successful Aqua vs Magma, Mew vs Mewtwo, Helix vs Dome, Fluffy Bunnies vs Fluffy Clouds, (and the very successful Ash vs Red, Mario vs Sonic, Reshiram vs Zekrom Arceus vs Giratina, and Gym Battles vs Pokemon Contests versions) from the last 9 times.
As is standard for these threads, once players have chosen their side, their usernames will be added to a list in the original post detailing which side they are playing for. Players cannot change sides once they have made their choice.
As is previously mentioned, this is all about directions. To be clear: THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL THREAD BY ANY MEANS.
In this corner, we have the dominant species of this planet, the Righteous Rights. They consist of the vast majority of the planet, and everything on the planet is built to suit their needs. The absolute perfection, the stronger and superior beings, everybody should be a Right. If you're not Right, you're wrong!
In the other corner, we have the Leftover Lefts. The dregs of society, considered to be pure evil and possessed by the devil himself. Their clumsy cutting and awkward handwriting clearly show them to be inferior to their Right counterparts. Considered in some religions to be blemished, the Lefts have occasionally been forced to convert to Rights throughout history, causing several short-circuits in their poor, fragile minds.
I would like to remind everyone at this point that I am left-handed, in addition (or subtraction) to being underhanded.
This is also not a thread about handedness, feel free to choose whichever side you want.
As mentioned in the previous thread, I do highly recommend reading the rules, as occasionally I might put something interesting in to see if people are paying attention.
Rules:
- Game starts at 250
- The Righteous Rights can only count up with the goal of reaching 500.
- The Leftover Lefts can only count down with the goal of reaching 0.
- Players can choose to play for either team but you cannot change teams after you have chosen.
- No ping-ponging rule still applies which means you cannot make another post in the thread until at least two other users have made a post since you last posted.This rule is only valid for people who are not ME.
-Mentions are permissible, though mass mentions of the entire team are still banned. You may mention up to three people per post.
-Additionally, you may only mention ME for the sake of making an official score count.
-Anyone in violation of the above rules regarding mentions will be eaten by a Killer Bunny, and will need to edit their post accordingly.
- If an official score tallying is needed, I reserve the right to officially pause the thread until I can tally the posts and calculate the official score. Since I am not yet a Moderator, I cannot close the thread while I am counting, so any posts after my post wherein I pause the thread will be ignored and will need to be deleted before I will unpause the thread.
- If an official score tallying is required, and I am unavailable or not responding to mentions, please summon a Moderator ( @Kakuna Matata; @Enzap; or @ScarletSky
. If a Mod summoning occurs, please pause the thread until the Mod arrives whereupon they can tally up the scores. Again, this is only if I am unavailable and/or not responding to mentions, or if the Mods happen to be in the area and notice the chaos.
-If there is a discrepancy in the scores, assume that my scores are correct because I go back and fix my posts based on ninjas and run occasional score tallies. I am fallible, and if you believe my score to be incorrect, let ME know, and I will either fix the score or I will explain why my score is correct.
- Per @badasstroperMCH;'s request, I am instituting a tie rule. If, after 150 pages, there are 5 or less regular posters or, if for 50 consecutive pages, the score does not go beyond 250 +/- 10, the game will end in a tie. If the score goes beyond 240 or 260, the counter resets.
-I will, once again, be absent from participating in this thread. However, during instances when I post, my post does not count towards the no ping-ponging rule. So, for example a post order like:
Sword Master: X
Poke Fox: X + 1
ME: witty comment and score correction
Sword Master: X +2
would be considered ping-ponging, even though there are technically two posts between Sword Master's posts, because my post does not count.
Alright, that about does it for the rules. If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to post it here.

...I just noticed a Glaring flaw (that isn't on purpose) with the rules. Has anyone else noticed it? I will fix it for next time.
