I'm saying this cause I just realized in the trailer, the IR hex's are on the left instead of the right. When this happens with the touch screen and the touch based parts are inverted, that mostly means that the controls were inverted to make it more usable for the left handed players, and the d-pad is replaced by the face-buttons. Of course it could just mean you can modify the modules for the connection based parts of the touch-screen when in the c-gear, but it could also mean they finally did something right in that department.

I just hope they make the stylus on the left side of the 3DS.

Sure, because that way only about 5% of the buyers will benefit, while the other 95% have touble reaching their stylus. Great idea qua marketing.

Yeah, no. Most of the world is right-handed, they're not going to accommodate the few lefties that exist at the expense of the vast amount of righties that buy a 3DS unless they let you store the stylus on either side. If they did that I would drop everything and buy 20 at launch. Having to pull the stylus from the right side and switch hands is beyond annoying.

If B/W had a left-handed mode I would just die. I'd love if it there were to be an option at the start of the game that lets you pick which side you're most comfortable with, and optimizes the controls and trainer sprite to match it.

Well optimizing the trainers and such no, but choosing which side to use so you can use the touch screen and d-pad only would be perfect, seeing as only right handed players have this gift.

Hehe, I remember countless times where I've played Pokemon with one hand four hours while laying on the sofa watching T.V.

Didn't the Ranger games let you choose which hand? I'm ambidextrous, so either way, it doesn't affect me. However, they could easily have a control mode that makes it left-handed.

It would be great if they built custom order versions for lefty players and keep the ones sold in stores the default, because then no one would have a reason to complain.

Unfortunately there just aren't enough people that are cool enough to be like us lefties:)p), so it's not very likely that they would do a lefty mode setting... I've gotten used to switching the stylus every time I pull it out of my DS.

I'm left-handed, and frankly I have no problem with the games/DS being designed with right-handed in mind. Sure, a lefty mode would be a nice addition, but I don't see it as a necessity.

To be fair, I'm left handed and never struggled. Partially on the principle of "I haven't another option" so I'm just used to the 'right-handed' DS. I don't see what the issue really is...

This is pretty much what I have to say, except that I'm a righty :p

But a left-hand setting on the game would be an unnecessary little thing to make the game even better than it is :p

Considering that you don't need to actually be quick in pressing the A-button in anything, and the D-pad is probably the most used, I don't see how left handed people are at a disadvantage, unless your right hand-eye coordination is that terrible. There isn't even a point in the game that requires both the D-pad and the stylus at the same time, so the only real issue seems to be accessibility.

Really, despite being right handed, I don't actually need to ever use it. When I chose the button option L=A, entire battles are conducted with my left hand.

The 3DS's stylus is actually back to being stored in the top, like the Phat's. It'll still likely be on the right side of the top, but it's at least a little better for lefties.
