A man was sitting at a small computer. He had pale skin and his white hair was sticking up everywhere. Suddenly an alakazam apeared next to him. "There here? Oh good," he said to the alakazam.
He looked at the Magnezone in the corner powering the whole room. At the press of a button a Porygon Z came out of the computer. He quickly told him to keep building the formula and the pokemon disapeared back in the computer.
"Bring me to them he told the alakzam and suddenly the room was empty.
The recruits were chatting quietly when suddenly an alakazam and its master apeared. He gazed at them and saw one if them had no pokemon at all.
"Welcome to the Legendary Bird Research Team."
 
Jraken nods and tips his brimmed hat, Officer Jenny standing nearby with parole paperwork.
 
Q's Kabutops seemed to be training with the trainer's other Haunter. The female returned Haunter, and turned her attention to the head scientist.
 
His eyes travel across the new members. He nods to the alakazam and suddenly everyone not joining was pushed away by some invisible force and the ones who are joining are pulled into a small area. Then without warning they were outside of a small lab on top of a mountain very close by.
 
Jraken shrugged as Officer Jenny was left behind with the paperwork. "Well, there goes my parole." Jraken looks to the scientist "So, you going to clue us in on why we're being so secretive?"
 
"Legendaries are very rare. He probably doesn't want anyone stealing our research," Maya offered quietly.
 
"Sorry, I've had bad experiences with people trying to use my work for evil so im a little superstitious at times." He then turned and entered the building. "Anyone want a tour?"
 
Jraken laughs "Your concerned with bad people stealing your work then offer us a tour? Listen, I'm not sure what the police told you, but you DID just get me out of jail. How do you know I won't just bail on you when I learn whatever it is you don't want people to know?"
 
Quetzal shook her head, stroking the Kabutops' cranium gently.
 
Jraken wiped a tear of laughter from his eye "Nah, nah, just caught me off guard with the irony, 'Specs'."
 
Suddenly Alakazam apeared behind Jraken and a ball made entirely of shadows formed in his hand aimed at his back. "I assure you you wont do that," he said with a hint of anger in his voice.
 
Jrakens attitude hardened as he looked back to the Alakazam "I could say the same for you, house pet."
 
He walked into the building with the others following. "We have many rooms so i wont show you all right now," he told them. When they walked in it looked like a bunch of rooms combined, There were about 20 computers, many fossils, lots of bottles full of chemicals, and many large machines whos purpose could not be gueesed. "This is where most of your research will be, unless you are on field work." "Here, you will all work togethet to find the birds." He walked down a hallway lined with rooms. "This is your room, Jraken," he said pointing at a door. Walking up to the door across he told them it was maya's room. "This," he said going to a door right after theres, "is your room," he told Quetzel. "In your room you will conduct research privately and sleep." "Everything you do on them will be administered by my Porygon Z." He walked down the hallway furthermore and reached the last door. "This, is my room." Absolutely NOONE is allowed in!" As if to empfasise the point a loud noise was heard from inside. "Any questions?"
 
Jraken took his cold stare off the Alakazam "Yes, do you keep the legendaries in your back yard or do you have transportation a fair but more reliable than your trigger happy house pet?"
 
He was about too answer when the door to his room crackled with electricity. He glared at Alakazam but was surprised too see it looking confused. Suddenly metal objects flew from everybody and stuct to the door.
 
The Kabutops leapt in front of the Alakazam, snarling.
 
Recognizing the signs of confusion Jraken grabs the Alakazam to hold it still, covering its eyes with his free hand to keep it from hurting itself. "The hell was that?"
