LEGO Pokémon sets and promotion revealed — Sets available for pre-order now ahead of release on Pokémon Day, February 27th

Today, The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company announced the first LEGO Pokémon sets, as part of a collaboration first teased during March last year. The three main sets revealed today include models of Eevee, Pikachu, and the fully-evolved forms of the Kanto first partner Pokémon. These three sets are all primarily for display, with age ratings of 18+. All of these sets are available for pre-order starting today from both LEGO.com and Pokémon Center, and are slated for release on Pokémon Day, February 27th.

In addition to the three main sets, a Kanto Region Badge Collection set will also be available exclusively as a gift with purchase of the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set. A Mini Pokémon Center set will also be available as part of the LEGO Insiders program, however a release date for this set has not yet been announced.

	The LEGO Pokémon Pikachu and Poké Ball will fans build both the Pokémon and the item across 2050 pieces. The brick built Pikachu can stand on its own, or be posed with the Poké Ball and the base to appear as though it is coming out of the Poké Ball. This set costs $USD 199.99 / €EUR 199.99 / £GBP 179.99.
	LEGO Pokémon Eevee is a smaller set, with only 587 pieces and not including a base. Eevee's limbs and ears are movable, and its tail can be angled. This set costs $USD 59.99 / €EUR 59.99 / £GBP 549.99.
	LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise is the largest of the announced sets, with 6838 pieces. All three of the fully evolved Kanto first partner Pokémon can be displayed individually. The action base allows them to be displayed together, with sections that reflect the habitat of each Pokémon. This set costs $USD 649.99 / €EUR 649.99 / £GBP 579.99.
	The Pokémon Kanto Region Badge Collection is a brick built case containing models of all 8 Kanto Gym Badges. This set is not available for separate purchase, and instead is available solely will be available as a gift with purchase with preorders of LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise from select official LEGO stores worldwide, as well as the Pokémon Center online store in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. This set will only be available with pre-orders as stocks last. As of writing, this set is already known to be sold-out in Australia.

A collaboration as big as this of course has more elements than just products. Between now and Pokémon Day, The LEGO Group is also running a sweepstakes for LEGO Insiders members are aged 18 or older in Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Mainland France, Germany (excludng Heligoland), Greece, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, the Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom (including Côte d'Ivoire & the Isle of Man), and the United States. This sweepstakes is structured as a Scavenger Hunt, and is based around locating codes hidden in The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company's websites and social feeds, Pokémon GO, and the YouTube channels of certain influencers. New codes will be released each week, with 30 codes in total available for fans tot find. Each code, when put into this page on LEGO's official website will unlock a piece of LEGO Pokémon digital art for download, together with one entry into the sweepstakes. First prize in this sweepstakes is the collection of all three of the main LEGO Pokémon sets, along with travel and tickets for five people to attend PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco. Second place will receive just the three main LEGO Pokémon sets, while third, forth, and fifth place will each receive one of the three LEGO Pokémon sets in decending price order. Five other runners-up will recieve 10,000 LEGO Insider points.

The LEGO Group has also released promotional photos they commissioned of each of the three main sets in natural environments.

If these sets are expensive and don’t have that stupid smart brick feature, I’m really scared on how expensive the summer wave is gonna be since they are including the smart brick

 

$200 for Pikachu and it looks worse than the Mega Bloks ones that - at most - cost $100.
