Horror movies are so underrated... I hate when people complain about how they're "sick and twisted" because um, isn't that the point?
So... what are some of your favorite horror movies?
I'll list some of mine... in absolutely no particular order.
1408 - Cusack was fantastic. And even though I haven't read anything by Stephen King, the movies based on his work marvel me. Though if I read his books I'd probably hate the movies... lol
Saw - I like how the concept of it is original and not some lame slasher shit. Only "series" where I end up looking forward to the sequel. Stuff like Friday the 13th or Halloween is just the same thing over again. At least, judging by the first three... and I have yet to see any of the Elm Street saga. But hell, I didn't even get what the big deal was about House of Wax.
It - I usually like long movies because they make room for character development. While it was clearly scary, it seemed to be more about the story than the gimmick for once.
Se7en - Great suspense, cool elements, and not many can direct like David Fincher.
Scream - Another trilogy that I like... normally I find the ones with a slasher boring, but this had the comedy element as well as the mystery of who the slasher actually is.
Urban Legends - At least it had a mystery.
The Shining - Do I really need to elaborate on this one?
Cube - Most underrated film ever and probably more Sci-Fi, but it was creepy, and I like "claustrophobic" movies.
The Sixth Sense - Also not gonna bother elaborating.
Okay, I think I'm done...
