There are some of the classics games were awesome, and I still playing of all time. Do you still playing them? or think they are very boring?

How old are we talking about? :D In my case, I absolutely love retro games (NES, SNES, GB, PS). When I'm not playing something newer, I'm usually playing my SNES or PS.

I spend a fair amount of my time playing video games on old ones: particularly NES, Gameboy, or my personal favourite, old PC adventure games (hence my avatar and signature!). Within the last few years, I played through the Quest for Glory series for the first time, and It's in contention for my favourite video game series of all time (its games were released between 1989 and 1998).

For NES and GB, though, I really have to thank the 3ds and Wii virtual consoles, especially the Club Nintendo free game promotions that let me try out games I might not otherwise. This has introduced me to NES and GB zelda, metroid, kirby, and kid icarus, as well as the gem that's Donkey Kong 94.

I still play some odd Bomberman, Altered Beast, Alex Kidd, Streets of Rage etc. It's always fun to go back on Sonic 2 to and mess around with debug mode - torture Tails in spike traps a little bit. It's kinda depressing though, as it's pretty hard to get these games to actually work on my Megadrive. Don't give up yet buddy, it's been 20 years!

;_;

Some games (pre-2000 games) I still play here and there courtesy of the virtual console since I have no other way to play them are Dig Dug, Harvest Moon (Game Boy Color), The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, and I do plan on getting Galaga sometime as well.

Well, which retro game do you like best?

All of the original Shin Megami Tensei games sill make me pull out my PS1 and PS2 quite frequently. :)

I love my old games especially since they bring so much 90s nostalgia for me. I still play these every now and then:

Castlevania Symphony of the Night: What is a classic!? A miserable little pile of memories? But enough talk lets play!
Final Fantasy Tactics: Been playing this game for over a decade at this point.
Megaman X4
Megaman Legends 2: Burn in hell Capcom for cancelling the sequel
Jackie Chan Stuntmaster
Soul Reaver: Back when Vampires could command respect instead of disdain
Goldeneye
Perfect Dark
Turok
Dino Crisis 2
Syphon Filter
Twisted Metal

Way back then, I used to be quite the PC gamer in the 1990s. My best series were from "Humongous Entertainment", which included such titles like Freddi Fish, Spy Fox, and Putt Putt. The middle one was the best parody of spy-film genres.

Oh man, I'd totally forgotten about those- I played tons of those when I was young as well! Especially pajama sam.

So why is Humongous dead? :(

Bubble Bobble is still one of the greatest games of all time

Eh, I'm not too fond of old games nowadays, no matter how cheesily nostalgic those 8-bit melodies may be... Though this could be because I've been spoiled with technological advancements of today's gaming scene, especially when it comes to Pokémon. But either way, it's still fun to go back and play some of those clasic games on the PS1 such as Crash Team Racing, Crash 2&3, the Spyro games and the origonal Air Combat (though especially the Spyro games). And don't get me started on the PS2...

As far as old school is concerned, while I am a big fan of console games, I am not huge, huge fan of arcade games. I think they are decent, but I remember them being a huge drain on my allowance when I visited the local arcade. My mom used to get so pissed at that. XD I played some arcade games on a home console at one point, and yeah, they are meant to be cheap and drain you of your money. I don't care for that nor do I miss it.

As for stuff like the NES, SNES, Sega consoles, N64... yeah, those were all great. The games were very hard and still hard to this day, but I enjoy them, even if I do want to pull my hair out when I lose. I never got to experience the PS1 or 2 when they came out, but I managed to snag a PS2 for a steal and play stuff like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro. Loads of fun games and I can see why people liked them. Funny, I owned a Sega Saturn in 1997 but not a Playstation.

I play N64, GBC and GameCube games. As well as some old PC games such as Hover and AlleyCat + good shooters

I still play my GBA games.

Although I don't have a lot of them, I do like playing old games from time to time, and they make up a pretty good portion of my all-time favorites. Most of them are N64 and GBA games, and while I haven't played a lot of the latter for a while, I've started to get pretty deep into the former again. A few months ago, for instance, I decided to put in Super Mario 64 for the first time in years. I was amazed at how well it played (and looked, even!) after not playing it for a while, and it reminded me of just how much of a masterpiece that game is. More recently, I've been playing a lot of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, another masterpiece whose gameplay is still great after all of this time. Maybe when I get the chance, I'll go dust off Pokémon Snap too, and see how well that holds up!

I have way too many systems
to eleborate I have every system from sega master system and the NES all the way up to the wii u and xbox one, the only exceptions being the virtual boy and ps4.

I love playing my old video games. The SNES-era was when I first started to play games, so its very special to me and I have a fondness for the old 16-bit graphics and the way music sounded on the system. If my SNES wasn't so finicky I'd play it more, but I'm glad we have things like the Virtual Console to use to play games like that. PSone I still play a lot for the Final Fantasy games on it, N64 is a classic and has games that are still fun (Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, Pokemon Snap, Ocarina of Time, the golden age of Mario Party games, Mario Golf, Star Fox 64...), so many good GB and GBC games... I don't think of the Gamecube/PS2 and GBA-era as "old" because that makes me sound old but if we count that, those get a TON of play from me still. I play Skies of Arcadia: Legends annually, still fire up Mario Party 4, play Mana Khemia, and I regularly play a lot of GBA games (like FFV Advance currently).

To be honest, there's a certain charm that sprites and the early 3D-gaming models (N64, PSone, Dreamcast) have that just can't be replicated anymore. Maybe its just because I grew up with them that I look at them fondly, but they just ooze charm in a way that the very clean, polished, and occasionally overly-realistic graphics of today don't. Of course, I love newer games too, but in some ways I think I prefer playing the old classics that I know I love, flaws and all.
