I am by no means new to the pokemon world. I still remember the day that i got to play red for the first time. I have played all the gameboy games and now ds, but I have never been able to level to 100. What is the best way to do this? Is it simply to play the battle frontier and use bp to buy rare candies or what? Thanks for any inputs.

Spam beating the Elite 4. I believe they get stronger in D/P/Pt after 10 or 20 times you beat them.

Rare candies are the easiest way, I guess. But usually they're only a good option after you've fully EV trained your Pokemon.

Defeat the Elite Four, fight your Rival when you can, and Gym Leader rematches. They're the best way to level up in Platinum and HGSS. Lucky Egg helps as well.

It depends in which game you are trying to do this in DP VS seeker + spam the E4 and fight your rival in front of the battle tower on the weekends if you save in front of him or are in front of him on Sunday and the clock hits 12 midnight he will fight you again each day but you cant leave that screen or he will disappear.

In HGSS E4 + trainer rematches and gym leader rematches. If you call the trainers you want to rematch from the next screen you can fight them move to the next route call them again return to their route fight them and repeat as needed.

but the easiest game to do this has to be platinum VS seeker + E4 + fight the various trainers that move from pokecenter to pokecenter + rival every weekend in the survival area and beat all the trainers in the cafe in the survival are if you save before the clock hits 12 midnight or are in the cafe when the clock hits 12 midnight the trainers in the cafe will fight you again beat them all again before leaving the cafe go out side I suggest saving then enter again a new set should appear if there are repeats they wont fight you again but you can soft reset until you get a new set that don't have repeats. and like *Orion* said lucky egg attached does help a lot.

Yeah, one of the best things you can do is get your hands on a Lucky Egg. Unfortunately, they're irritating as hell to find. I was fortunate enough to have access to Pokemon XD on the GCN, so I got one through a side-quest and migrated it to Generation IV.

Also, if you have HG/SS, and have easy access to two Pokewalkers, I've managed to get about 60 Rare Candies in a little over an hour of connecting them to get items. So, if you've EV-trained your Pokemon fully, you can use Rare Candies to get them up to lvl 100.

I understand, though, that not everyone has easy access to two Pokewalkers, so this might not work for you.

I'm actually trying to complete the National Dex, though, so I'm using the same method which TeamGalacticMercury mentioned.

I'm mainly using those Rare Candies that I'm getting to level up random Pokemon to get them to evolve and add pages to my Pokedex, rather than my main team, but you could easily use them to get your high-leveled team to their 100's.
