Private RP involving the fantasy world of Leyalin.

Start up:


Rush let out a long yawn as he roused himself from a long afternoon nap he had just had. Opening his eyes, he looked out across the Large, yet homely looking fortress that was his home. He then jumped to his feet and began walking back to-wards the Azure Nest, wondering where he could find Trin.

"he's probably in the tavern...." He looked at the sun, and judged it to be in the late-afternoon. "...yup...he's there"
 
Trin, like most of his afternoons, spent them in a small tavern not to far from Rush's home, as he quietly sipped his beverage.
 
As Rush neared the tavern door, he was suddenly stopped by a heavy hand on his shoulder. Turning around, he saw the Azure Knights cheif blacksmith, Orlan Seigebreaker. Rush could tell by the large grin on the dwarfs face that Orlan had cooked up another crazy get rich scheme.

Rush sighed, and before the dwarf said anything, Rush motioned him into the tavern.

"If you ARE planning something, i'm sure Trin will want in too" he said as he began walking towards his friend, who was sipping a drink.

While drinking his beverage, Trin noticed Rush walk into the tavern with a much smaller individual Trin knew too well, as Orian was always involved in get rich quick schemes. "Rush! I knew you'd show up...though I thought you'd come alone." he said to him, as he took notice of Orian, as Trin sighed. "Another quick scheme, I assume?" he asked him.
 
Rush ordered himself a pint of rum as he sat down next to Trin. He exchanged a quick look with his partner before turning towards the squat dwarf.

"So you mind telling us what you have in mind this time?"

The dwarf let a tiny glimmer enter his eye as he spoke the next few words.

"I've found the location of....the Black Dragon Hoard" He said, with clear excitement in his voice.

Rush nearly spat his drink all over Trin in suprise.
 
Trin choked on his beverage, after hearing Orian's revelation, as he began coughing loudly, try to regain his breath, as some of his rum came out of his nose; his face crimson red.

"The Black Dragon Hoard? B-But how?..." he asked him, in between breaths.
 
Orian dropped his voice to a low pitch.

"Well laddies, treasure from an entire los' civilization don't just dissapear...." He pulled out a small map and unfurled it. Rush recognized the mountains on it as the North Vale Wall. There was a large X located in the interior of the mountain range. Rush frowned.

"Isn't that dragon terrirory..."
 
"It must be..." as Trin continued to stare at the map, a bit of excitement running through his body.
 
Orian grinned and looked around at the two of them.

"Now, i know you two want in on this because of your dream of going round the world, and yeh need the money"

Rush looked at Trin.

"What do you think?"
 
"I'm willing to do it if you are, and besides, think of all we can do with all of that money." Trin answered back, as he began to fantasize.
 
"Well hold on a second...this is in Dragon territory, and beyond that we have orcs and trolls in the mountain. Second, how the heck are we gonna get all the stuff back?"

The Dwarf shifted a little.

"Well...there is a large chance of death....

"So is going to the bathroom around here" Rush Stood up. "I'm in"
 
"Then it's settled." Trin said triumphantly, as he stood quickly, nearly losing his equilibrium. He walked over to Orian, as he placed an arm around his shoulders. "I assume you'll have our weapons ready." he told him.
 
"Aye...." The dwarf Dropped his Voice "I will not be traveling with you laddies, i must take care of some business in the Golden Halls. Tonight, you will find provisions and a wagon at the base of the Azure Mountains. Take it North through the Misty Dale, and across the Dragons Teeth Plains. I will meet you at the base of the mountains." and with that, the dwarf gave them a smile and walked out of the tavern
 
"Well...that didn't come out the way I hoped. This'll be a much more difficult challenge than I thought." as Trin grabbed his mug, only to realize it was all out of rum. "Damn..."
 
"Do you think we should tell the girls?" Rush asked while ordering a glass of Eastwind Sake, "It would be nice to have mages with us..."
 
"I wouldn't mind." Trin said, as he refilled his mug. "But, how will we take care of all of them?"
 
"I don't know...they could go with the dwarf and meet us halfway..."

Rush drank the entire mug of sake in one swift movement. Guess i'll go prepare...

10 Hours Later

Rush sat on the back of the wagon, smoking from his pipe while keeping an eye on the misty forrest that enveloped them. He knew that this place had many things that went bump in the night. Luckily he had his Azure Crystal Bow with its magic arrows to "bump back". And even then, he had Trin, who was currently holding the reigns to the horses with him.
 
Trin payed close attention while tending the horses, as he knew the kind of things that happen in the forrest at this time of night. He turned to Rush, who was currently smoking his pipe while being observant as well. "We'll be well prepared right? In case we get "bumped" he asked him.
 
"Yeah..." As he looked into the forrest he swore he saw something move, but upon closer inspection, he decided it was nothing. "...we'll be fine"
 
"I may be wrong...but I thought I just saw something move..." Trin told Rush, wondering if he saw the same thing. "Who knows, maybe I'm losing it." Trin told himself.
