hi! this is a long shot and i don’t expect anyone to have extra codes because of how much of a disaster this distribution has been, particularly in the US, but if anyone has extra codes for the shiny koraidon/miraidon distribution that started today i would be eternally grateful. i am actually trying to pass them along to my girlfriend and friends from other countries who couldn’t manage to get codes on their own.

as for what i can trade you in return, i have over 8 boxes of shinies in SV, some extras of some various mystery gifts throughout SV’s lifespan including an extra worlds 2024 steenee, and i even have legitimate 10th anniversary latias/latios still in generation 3 which i can transfer up to trade, as well as a gen 3 MYSTRY mew i’d be willing to let go of (you’ll have to take me at my word for these gen 3 events, my apologies). i am also more than willing to RNG manipulate old gen shinies or look for other events and shinies i haven’t listed here already in my boxes so please feel free to ask for anything and i’ll check.

I already told you but I'll at least have one code for whoever you want to give it to! maybe two, I'm waiting on a friend to tell me if she wants one or not

edit: as a matter of fact depending on how motivated I get I might be able to go get more at more stores near me, we'll see, won't be today though

omg i forgot about that. i don't even remember the deal. did you want me to RNG a shiny one from my JP cart? i can't remember

edit for anyone reading: we sorted out the above privately but i am still looking for codes so still feel free to respond!

The same thing happened here in Australia as well. I went to my local EB Games at Watergardens this morning and were out. I was told by the person there that the same thing had happened at EB Games in both Deer Park (at Brimbank Shopping Centre) and in Caroline Springs (Caroline Springs Square). I will not mince words here, but the whole thing reeks of corruption with people who DON'T play either Scarlet or Violet (nor play the Trading Card Game) getting the codes to scalp online. I saw a video and they are going up for US$50 on EBay and going up (some are over US$100). I, like you, refuse to give in to these scalpers, nor will I give in to those who are distributing hacked Pokemon online (which is sadly happening as we speak). This is why I won't be forking over money to these individuals who care more about their bank accounts than the fans who worked hard to complete their Pokedex (and in particular their shiny dex for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet).

If you go on the various socials, there are lame excuses being used by people in the video games stores to justify why they will not be restocking (such as it was a one day event, even though it is until 15 October), and some are pinching these serial codes to give to family and friends (which is rampant, especially in regards to the Shiny Koraidon and Shiny Miraidon), which has sadly happened. And I feel that if this situation does not improve, then there will be a massive backlash against Nintendo and Pokemon (which has both been the target of much anger recently), and this could negatively impact Pokemon Legends ZA, which is releasing in a couple of weeks, with the potential that many fans would cancel their preorders for this game.

And no doubt I speak for everyone here on the forums that we, as fans of the video games, needs to take on these scalpers, and hopefully both Nintendo and Pokemon takes these greedy scalpers (as well as corrupt individuals who work at places such as GameStop or EB Games who are handing these serial codes to their family and friends).

I am deeply sorry I cannot be of any assistance.

i am also deeply angry about how this distribution went and i'm probably going to be sending gamestop & TPC a strongly worded email tomorrow when my brain isn't mush, but respectfully this might be a conversation better for its own dedicated thread in a relevant section and not on my trading thread haha. i should have clarified in my initial post that i don't really want to discuss in depth how awful the distribution has been on this thread, i've already exhausted myself talking about it everywhere else :sadsola: but i do genuinely resonate with the anger even if i don't fully agree on every nuance and it's alright that you can't help, i posted this knowing it was a super longshot anyway lol
 
Any extra codes please? I am in the US and all the scalpers took everything. If I could shiny hunt these two, I would. Sadly this is the only way I would ever get these shinies. I checked every store in my city in the US, nothing.

sorry, i don't think anyone's had any luck with this here on bulbagarden (not surprising, posting this thread was a longshot) and if you're looking for extra codes you might fare better on places dedicated to trading or reddit or the like. i wish you luck

Thanks for the response! I've tried looking on reddit but no luck. This really sucks but if you hear of any good alternatives to getting a code, let me know!
