Today I saw quite an interesting video on youtube today while browsing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lyaMrS0hzk), I was rather startled that this was happening at a town hall meeting that was open to the public. I have heard this plenty of times at private screenings (the screening of the movie "Expelled" that Richard Dawkins and a colleague visited comes to mind) and similar private events, but this was an open meeting for everyone and in addition the sign was hardly offensive in my opinion.
It's not completely unheard of for campaign staff to be paranoid about unexpected events, but a 61 year old woman? Furthermore her sign was hardly offensive because McCain has flip flopped on quite a few issues and now takes a number of similar stances to Bush on certain issues that he was originally opposed to and he has decided to have Bush endorse his campaign. Conversely most Republicans voted for Bush twice, he can be considered far more mainstream Republican than McCain and was more popular at the beginning than McCain is now, so it's weird/strange for them to find a problem with this.
What puzzled me was the fact that the police were on the scene quite quickly and that she will now face charges for trespassing at a public event taking place at the local town hall because of that sign? It hardly looked like she was causing an uproar or anything but then one could argue that it was heavily edited.
None of the main media websites I frequent seem to have covered the issue, here are two sources I found on google:

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/07/07...ush-sign-kicked-out-of-public-campaign-event/
Could anyone shed any light on this or possibly provide more in-depth articles with a possible position by the McCain staff members involved?
