You forgot "the glass is twice as tall as it needs to be."

I'm an engineer.

Lol, I shall remember that!!!

Actually, I have yet to post my opinion, the glass is no longer half full, it's fallen off the table, smashed onto the ground and is in hundreds of little pieces ready for me to step on (I'm barefoot)

Um... why do you keep creating polls for the purpose of bashing anyone who diagrees with you?
I don't, I have never bashed, that was Sketch.

The premise of this thread is very narrow, I cannot envisage any worthwhile discussion stemming from it, Although I argue that life is a glass neither half full nor empty; that it is acutally a box of chocolates, that, once youve eaten it all to quickly, all that remains is an empty box and a few brown paper wrappers.

Ah well, I'm curious.
I love that phrase as......in my view, it means "If you get everything from life, you turn out fat." So, seeing as how I am rather chubby, I am just living life to the full!

I'm usually a pessimist. A cynical one at that. Expect the worst and you'll be prepared for it.
But as for the glass question-it depends how high the person filled the glass to begin with.

That's a good way of putting it.

What makes you think a person filled the glass?

I'm a realist; there is liquid in the glass, so who cares if it's half-empty or half-full? There's still enough for a drink.

Always find the happy parts of life. Why life in depression? It's... depressing :)

I'm an optimist - I'd be the most boring, depressing emo otherwise :p
