Forgive me for being vague here but I've rarely ever hated any fictional character with a red hot passion. I can dislike them when they're embody certain archetypes like The Scrappy, the Mean Girl, or the Bully yet at other times, I can like certain characters because they have these hatable traits to them.

Maybe it's because I acknowledge that I'm suppose to hate them or that I'm so appalled by their cattiness that I actually admire the lengths they go (Seto Kaiba from Yu Gi Oh for one). Perhaps it's because I'm watching them and don't have to interact with them in real life or maybe my obnoxious little sister has taught me that it really can't get any worse that her.

Anyone else had this occur to them or am I just an glitch in the system?

If you're asking if it's okay to like a bad or morally dubious character, then absolutely. Most of the truly interesting/entertaining characters are on the dark side, imo.

I like and hate kurada at the same time becasue he is fancasticly written, you only hate a villan when they are well written and its not like you say obvious their the bad guy

I think everyone has that morally questionable character they like. For instance, I like Ladd Russo from Baccano!, even though he's probably the definition of psycho.

I like Annie from Attack on Titan... YET I HATE HER SO MUCH. SO MUCH. YOU CAN'T DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS, NEITHER CAN I.

I like her as a person, and how she was before the expedition... But I've seen too much. Let's just say I love to hate her.

I find most perfect/heroic/squeaky clean characters dull. If handled dully at least (which they usually are).

I do enjoy a good psycho or bitch (Weiss from RWBY :3) to spice up things a bit and a surprising majority of my favorite characters tend to be villains.
Especially if they aren't two dimensional and actually have depth behind their jerkiness.

Loki. Dear lord, Loki from Thor. He's a villain, he kills people and wants nothing more than to overthrow Asgard and run the place himself....but I love him. I adore him. Every time I see him, I want to throw my arms around him because I can understand exactly why he is acting in such a way. Loki is how I could have turned out if I hadn't had a strong support system back in November 2010 and I love him for it. He's like a dark version of me. "There but for the grace" and all that.
