Link question

Everytime I try to post a link, I get soemthing that when clicked get the main address to BMFG, then a /, followed by the site I wrote.

What is going on? Is this on purpose by the mods, or is it a glitch?

Why are there two topics asking the same question posted by different people in the same forum at nearly the same time?

The forum software's link parsing apparently isn't working the way most people would want it to. To ensure that links will work, be sure to start it with http://

For the record BTW...I have no idea why the forum software does that. I suppose it's trying to make a relative link when you exclude the http.

That's exactly what it's supposed to do, according to the HTML and URL/URI spec. Of course, that doesn't mean it's what people want it to do...

Oh, and I guess we have two different topics because neither deja0entendu or I realized that the other was creating the same topic. We both encountered the problem at the same time, btw.
