Suggestion Linking to Fediverse

I'd like to offer a suggestion to add a field in the profile for linking a fediverse identity. If one can add bluesky, why not mastodon or peertube or lemmy, or misskey etc etc... too? (Not suggesting a separate field for all of those, even just one box for this would be cool)

Sidenote: I greatly appreciate Bulbagarden's presence on mastodon.


Bonus Side question:
I had a dream in which Bulbagarden started to federate with the Threadiverse and that it was possible to post from Fedi to the forums and vice versa. How impossible would that to be in real life, is this something just in the realm of the dreamworld? I am just purely curious, not really asking for implementing it because I assume it would be a PITA and a lot of work (unless...?). I know that for example, the discourse forums have activityPub integration

You know, I could've sworn we had that already. Guess not. Maybe I was waiting on a proper validator for it. Well, we can just use URL validation for now, that'll work well enough with the typical format. Profile field has now been created. Will look at getting proper validation when we do our next big Xenforo upgrade.

As a side note, we currently support embedding posts on the forums from 20 different Mastodon servers. If you've got a server you want added to the list, just let us know.

We actually requested for this feature to be added to Xenforo ourselves. At this point, there's not been any extension released for Xenforo to create this functionality however, and the devs don't seem to be interested in such a feature for the core product.
