Would it be a good idea to be able to link to TV tropes?

To be honest, I doubt it would be, since it's probably too informal. But what do you guys think?
 
For the Pokemon page and the Mons genre page? Sure. It'd be too much hassle to link to all of the Pokemon tropes, though.
 
Perhaps it should only be used for the less serious pages. The ones pertaining to the fandom in particular. Due to it's articles having odd names and all.
 
We link to fan shrines. TV Tropes is fine.

As we focus on one franchise, it's a good place to link to if the subject of the article can be found in other series. Our "Aging in the anime" article already has one.
 
^Agreed. Relevance is especially important because many people couldn't be bothered to keep their opinions to themselves on that site.

On a related note, is it a good idea for us to have a Ruined FOREVER page, just for fun, on the Bulbapedia, like the Transformers and Star Wars Wikis? Cause quite frankly, by the fans' standards, Pokemon has been Ruined FOREVER more times than anyone can count.

It would definitely work as a user subpage, maybe as an appendix page. I think it'd make a good main article, too (I love TFwiki's ruined FOREVER page), but the other admins might disagree, and they pretty much all rank higher than me.
 
What I don't want are people starting to use TV tropes terminology and using it in every page. Since some of the titles are extremely persuasive. As evident in the artlce TV Tropes will ruin your life.
 
A "fandom is stupid" page really isn't mainspace material.

There's not much to say. We can link there but we don't do articles on genre conventions so there aren't many places where it would be appropriate. Yes, Ash is a "Determinator" but we can just describe that part of his character in the main body of his article. Do you think it would help to link to a list of similar shonen protagonists?

And yeah, avoid their neologisms in articles.
 
So what's the consensus? Are we gonna be making some interwiki links and need a new interwiki prefix?
 
To be honest, I wouldn't mind links to it, as long as we don't overdo it.
