So here we have the battle of humanoid mythological creatures. The most noticeable thing about these four is that they are short creatures, who resemble humans in one way or another.
Brownies are clearly the loser here, as they have no known fighting abilities. Their only abilities are helping humans in farming, cleaning, harvesting, and these sorts of manual labour.
Dwarves are probably the most known of these four groups. They have great skills in mining, smithing, crafting, and are generally very wise and knowing. Some legends even say they created the first humans, which means that they can create their own army.
Gnomes, like Brownies, don't have much fighting abilities, but they do have an advantage in science. Gnomes are known for their great knowledge in alchemy and magic, which could help in creating weapons.
Goblins have access to magic, but are not offensive by nature. While they are considered evil, they only attacked when summoned by a wizard, or a warlock, or a magician. They attack viciously and in numbers, however.
Not included:
Hobbits: Because they aren't mythological creatures, they're fictional creatures that were created by Tolkien.
Fairies: Because they aren't always small beings.
I vote for Dwarves, because they are often described as very wise, and thus might be the ones who come up with the best strategies in a war scenario. Who do you vote for?
