Lol Registeel

I was catching Registeel yesterday, and after weakening/putting it to sleep with my Magcargo, I proceeded to throw my Ultra balls at it. Unfortunately the balls were inert and even after 30 I still hadn't caught it. So next up were my 20 Timer balls which I bought as backup. But they didn't work either. So I was about to give up, but then realised I still had a Repeat ball, so I thought I may as well try it. And it caught it. After using 50 balls with 2x or 4x catch rate that didn't work, the Repeat ball worked. WTF? So now I have a Registeel in a Repeat ball. lol.

Same thing happened to me in Red, I used all but my Great Ball on Mewtwo. Then I caught Mewtwo in a Great Ball.

...and then I did it again for old time's sake in FireRed.

I used 40 ultra balls 14 timer balls and 8 dusk balls trying to catch uxie the first time but it used struggle and fainted so I reset and after I got its hp down to 1 then I accidentally through a regular poke ball and caught it. with only one pokeball.

This sort of thing happens to me alot when catching legendarys/ Ubers. Its as if there weakened by a sudden change in the type of Pokeball. But half the time I get lucky and on my first or Second quick ball/ Ultra Ball I throw out I end up catching it.
