Hello Bulbagarden, Torgetsu Kon here! I highly doubt any of you still remember who I am or who I was, but I was a big time member of the Bulbagarden community from 2007 to around 2010, a bit of 2011. I'm not really sure what inspired me to log back on to bulbagarden (believe me, I was surprised to remember my old password), but it really was a treat to read stuff from the past and see how Bulbagarden has evolved from my days of visiting. However, the one thing that was cringe-worthy to see again was the old art that I used to post. For those of you that may be interested in seeing what I'm talking about, here's some links to some old art threads of mine here. After looking at the old threads, despite the fact that I cringed looking at them, I couldn't help but feel a bit proud of how much I feel I've improved from then, which is why I've posted this thread. Below are a few pokemon drawings that I've drawn from the past few months. I'm posting them for two reasons, one being that I would appreciate feedback and criticism on the pieces themselves, and the other being a reminder to all aspiring artists that despite what your skill level may be now, you can always improve if you try.

Don't like spiders in real life, but love to draw them.

My most current one. This one was a gift for one of my old time friends on Bulbagarden. Not sure if he's seen it yet, but I hope he likes it

Thanks for all of the positive messages everyone, they really motivate me to continue with my practice. This time, due to me being busy with university and such, I only have one picture to update with, Thundurus Therian form. Hope you enjoy!

 
Wow these are actually amazing, the coloring schemes are so spot on and the way you smudge / overlay colors give such a good image of depth and shadow. What medium do you use to make these? I'm sort of having difficulty telling haha
 
Thanks, Elamite. As for the medium, they're all painted digitally on my computer with a tablet, though I do like to play around with other mediums and such. However, I don't have a recent Pokemon sample to show as an example (Midterms at University have been killer),but I do have a quick Ace Attorney marker piece I drew in between classes yesterday.
Looking forward to Dual Destinies as much as I'm looking forward to X/Y.

I have one more picture to show off. I've been crazy busy with university work, but I've managed to find a bit of time to play Pokemon Y version, and I'm loving every bit of it. The next picture is a quick picture of an Aromatisse. I mentioned on my pictures earlier that I was planning on getting Spritzee when I got the game. Well, I ended up getting one and let me tell ya, I don't regret it at all. Not only is Aromatisse cute as a button, but she's helped me in battle more times than I can count.

I really like Zygarde's design, I hope we get to hear more about him in Z version (or whatever they end up calling the sequels).
I caught a shiny Pancham yesterday on my Y version, so I drew a quick picture to commemorate the little fella
 
Pancham is absolutely gorgeous. Your art style is amazing! I love Vulpix, too. You make them seem so beautiful!
 
Thanks for the compliments everyone, they truly mean a lot to me. I have a series of pictures this time, just the evolution line of Hydreigon, but I wanted to try and draw them in a less fierce manner (most pictures I see of them are fierce, so I thought I'd change things up). The results are in the spoilers, hope you enjoy :)

EDIT: Can someone help me get rid of the attachment on the bottom? I don't know what happened there.

One more pic to update with! It's a simple one, a Talonflame, but I liked working with the colors in the piece. Enjoy!

I gave it a little scarf on account I've been playing Dual Destinies and the hawk in that game, Taka, has a scarf.

You've got beautiful artwork! I particularly like your Vulpix and Aromatisse! And I see you're a fellow Ace Attorney fan. :)
Really pretty coloring technique you have as well...watercolor tool? You have some real skill!
 
Say, if you haven't done one of Sawsbuck yet, could you do one? It's one of my favorite Unova Pokémon. I don't even care what season you do.
 
I meant to post in your thread earlier but I guess it didn't go through. I really like your coloring style, is it digital watercolors? My favorite works so far have to be Aromatisse and Talonflame, but they're all really nice.
And it's nice to see another Ace Attorney (and SP) fan!
 
Wow, thanks for the great turnout of requests everyone, and also thanks for the compliments and critiques! I truly appreciate everything (and to Nimfia, it's a sort of digital watercolor, yes). Also, as far as the requests go, I'll get to all of them in a timely manner (since I'm juggling university and such, it'll probably 1-2 an update).
For now, I have two pictures ready for this update, , Helioptile's Sawsbuck and Fabulush's Floette. They're both below in the spoilers.

For the record,I love winter Sawsbuck's appearance the best, plus I thought it would give me a good challenge to draw a winter night scene.

I never see pictures of Floette's angry or fierce. I thought I'd try my attempt at that.

Also, as of this post, I'm done taking requests until further notice.
 
Here's one more request done! This is SwampertShoe's request of a Mudkip and Altaria being lovey, and I have to say, I like how it turned out. Hope you enjoy.
