Because it seems that every thread where the Galactics come up turns into a general Galactic discussion. The old club kinda fizzled out ages ago, which is kinda strange. But now we have created it anew!

Let's toss out some initial topics!

If you could give a Galactic member a new pokémon, what would it be?
 
Even though I like TG as a whole, Saturn's my fave. Since he didn't get very many appearances in the games, it was nice that they did the switch-eroo with that in the anime... but unfortunately, Jupiter got very little screentime in return.

And by Pokemon-standards, they're definately badass... especially Cyrus. I lol'd when he pwned Team Rocket in the Celestic Town ruins.:lol:

I'd feel sorry for Saturn whenever Mars and Jupiter would have their "you know what" at the same time... getting pwned by their severe mood swings o_O

Which reminds me.... Mars trying to blow up Iron Island immediately reminded me of all those Hillary Clinton jokes about here having PMS and blowing up Texas if she became President.

EDIT: I just realized... the Galactic finale is in about 5 weeks, going by the usual one-episode-per-day schedule that CN has for each new Pokemon episode. It'd be awesome if they aired the whole 3-parter in one day.

*TG Club used Slow Start! Effective?*

Well, I don't have a favorite TG member anymore (used to just be Cyrus, but then I grew fond of all of them). Here's what I like about each (to make it worthwhile and such):

Cyrus - Your future Lord and Savior-- *shot* Ah, he's the Big Boss that wants to be the God of a new world. That probably makes him one of, if not, the best Pokemon bosses ever. I guess I like the fact that he's got some personality (wut, that emotionless dude has personality? Haha.) and thanks to Platinum, some background (as small as it is). That and the vest is awesome. And the blue hair... <3

Saturn - Actually a neko-mimi futa. Blame Charon. The andryongous second-in-command that sports cat-ear hair. I can see why he's likeable, and he ends up taking over the new generation of TG afterwards... I used to like him a lot, but now I think he's just Cyrus's go-to guy to get things done and other things...? hurhurhur.

Mars - HGSS Silver's real Mom, and you all know it; blame CHARON for it all kthx. Hoop skirt. Fire-red hair. Whiny-ish. You gotta give Mars some credit for being a great female commander. Although what happened in Pt at Stark Mt. was something interesting... *shields herself from fangirl shippers*

Jupiter - Secretly related to two powerful trainers, thanks to that hair. Jupiter gets no love. I think that's why I like her. She's underrated, but IMO much more interesting than Mars. Not commenting on the sassy outfit though, but hey, it makes her stand out. And don't remind me of the Stark Mt. thing.

Charon - The old perv that secretly blackmails everyone with his "secret stash" on his multiple hard drives. I think that hairstyle is officially overused (Maylene, Barry/Jun/DPPt!Rival, Saturn... ish, and probably many others just in the Sinnoh region... Related much?), but the glasses are a nice touch. Although his Stark Mt. plot was LAME, he himself is awesome. That and he discovered Rotom. That instantly makes him awesome. And you can blame him for EVERYTHING. Why? Because he's a freaking genius, that's why.

Mitsumi - Hahah, DPA manga, y'all. She ttly counts. First off, her backstory, it's mindscrewy timeline-wise. Second, that outfit. Loincloth. XD Thirdly,... uh,... I've got nothing. *slowly waiting for more DPA to make get translated... why wait so long, Viz?*

I'm thinking of making another motivational and an avatar of each Commander, but I'm not sure yet...

On a side note, looks like we got about 5 more episodes to go before we get the English dubs of the Galactic finale! Moar Saturn and his kitty-ears.

Ermm maybe a zorubauk maybe it seems like a simple pokemon we know and maybe handle. I suggest a flying type becuase i see they use it mostly...

I think it means what version of Team Galactic and what version of a character(s) you like: manga, anime, and/or game versions.

I've never read the manga... (I've never read any manga), but I've seen a few pics here and there, and heard/read about their DP and Pokemon Adventure mangas.

I think in Pokemon Adventures they look more similar to their anime and game counterparts than in the other one. But I definately like the anime version of them, the Grunts are alot more intelligent in the anime than in the games.:XD: Since Cyrus has said in both games that he "won't give up" on his plans, I have a teeny-tiny %5 chance of hope that he might return in Gen V... but to clarify here, that's just hope and speculation, nothing else.

And his evil laugh pwns in the anime... I'm just sayin' here.
 
My favorite member is Cyrus. Partially because of his clothing style and partly because he actually accomplishes something. I also like Saturn and Charon a lot, as well.

If I had to give each member a new Pokemon, I would choose Tyranitar for Cyrus, Electivire for Saturn, Ninetails for Mars, Lunatone for Jupiter, and a Metagross for Charon.

EDIT: My favorite incarnation of him is Pokemon Special's.
"You have desecrated holy ground" is what made me like him there.
 
The finale started today and there's no talk here? You guys.... I DISSAPOINT.:p I kid, I kid...

After the recent episode, I have reason to believe that there is a potential JupiterXLooker ship amoung us... it was lol-tastic when Jupiter got pissed at Charon's evil laugh.

When they (I can't remember who it was, Jupiter or Charon) said that Cyrus had "plans" for Looker, I wonder what they meant... firing squad anybody?:naughty:

I'm really disappointed that Charon is not fight-able. Oh well, at least now there's potential for an event-exclusive battle if they do remakes.
 
Well... the finale's all said and done, and now 'tis time for Gen V villains. The Galactic arc totally blew the Aqua/Magma plot right out of the water, both in the games and anime I think... the anime one fo sho. For now, I'm gonna quote a couple theories of mine related to Cyrus, about his disappearance 'n whatnot:

If Cyrus wanted to create another universe, I think his best bet would have been to try and use Arceus instead... but with researching the legends behind Palkia and Dialga, those were his next best choices I guess. With using just Palkia's and Dialga's respective powers to manipulate time and space, he basically only had the ingredients to create a wormhole/portal of some sort into another alternate dimension/universe, not to create an actual new universe itself. Isn't there a theory out there that suggests such wormholes are created by altered time and space anyhow?

1. In all three games, he has implied that he isn't going to give up on his plans... he doesn't really elaborate on HOW he will, but still vows that he's going to do it. Cyrus being the only evil team leader who doesn't show regret for his actions and doesn't apologize or anything adds more fuel to the fire... which naturally, gives him a higher chance than either Giovanni, Archie, or Maxie returning since they practically gave up and showed no interest in furthering their goals.

2. The fact that you as the Player can enter and exit the Distortion World in Platinum at any time would also warrant the possibility of Cyrus being able to do that as well. This little part of my theory would only apply to Platinum's situation though, while in Diamond and Pearl his whereabouts are unknown... and yet in those games also vows to have his revenge 'n whatnot.

As for the anime, it's currently unknown what happened to him for sure, pretty much all we can do is speculate. In J's case, we basically witness her die in the most detailed way possible, while in Cyrus' case it's unsure if just that portal was destroyed, or if the dimension he created was destroyed along with it. After watching the episode, I did however come up with a theory... bear with me, this might be a little long:

With his hand device, Cyrus apparently had the power of the "Original One", which is more than likely Arceus (which explains why the Red Chain took the shape of Arceus' ring-thingy when it wrapped around Dialga and Palkia). True, it was probably created for the sole purpose of controlling the Pixies and the Space/Time Dragons. But the fact that he basically had the power of Arceus in the palm of his hand (literally) has made me wonder about something... would it also be possible for him to do more than control those particular Pokemon? For what happened to him in the anime, I think that he was able to create some sort of alternate dimension and call it his "new world". When Dialga and Palkia aimed for it, I think that all they destroyed was the portal into that dimension, instead of the dimension itself... therefore he could still be floating around in that alternate dimension/universe that he created. Now, we go back to that hand device... providing he's still in that dimension and hasn't died, believe it or not he would still be wearing that device. If he actually does contain the power of Arceus in that thing, there's a possibility that he might be able to use it in other ways, for example: opening up another portal for him to return. If you think about it, the Red Chain is what they used in the first place to open up the portals to Dialga's and Palkia's dimesions so that they could summon them with the Orbs. If the Red Chain on its own was used to do just that, would it be possible for Cyrus himself to use his little hand device to do the same thing, opening up a portal? Maybe, we don't know that... but if he isn't dead and wanted (and he probably doesn't want to anyways, he got the universe that he wanted) to return, that's the only way that I can think of at the moment.

But right now, I'm not concerened about the anime. I'm more focused on the games, since right now we're still in Sinnoh and probably will be for a little while longer, since Black and White don't come out till fall, and it's still spring yet.

Now, I'm not going for my theories 100% either... I have as much doubt about him returning as you do. But the main point of my theories is that if any remnants of the evil teams did return for some reason, Cyrus would have a higher probability than any others, including Team Rocket.

So in. Cyrus still creeps me out, and he's flipping amazing. The anime just made him cooler. I do wonder why he gives you the Master Ball, when when could have used in on Giratina... I know that he didn't know about it, but still.

And Charon makes me lol. He seems like the only one not belonging.
 
From what I remember, he tells you that catching the Legendaries with a Pokeball would weaken them and prevent them from using their powers to their fullest. Which was interesting... 'cause I never knew that any Pokeball could do that.:sweatlol:
 
Oooooh... A Team Galactic Club! I like Team Galactic. My favorite charcter is prbably Jupiter. Just because she's cool. :)
