Looking for good grass type

I got SS on the day it released in the UK and started playing. I am a good way in in the game with four badges, but I need a good grass type in my team (I had chosen Cyndaquil). I am looking for an awesome grass type from any generation, something like a turtwig, not treecko because I plan to get it when I get to choose between a hoenn starter on SS. Thanks.

Just to name a few
the shiny's i would want something of equal value and the normals something as common
