I'm looking for a PHP/MySQL-based system for putting up a website. Not like a blog, but...

Okay, so I'm trying to recreate my site Quelorant.Com, except this time I want to do it like I originally envisioned it, not with a phpBB like I did last time.

Basically, I want to be able to put up my comedy material and have others (on a staff) be able to do the same. I want it to be simple so that people don't have to give their material to me to encode and post (for example, maybe copy+paste from Word and have bold and italics carry over). I need to be able to categorize it, so I can separate Normal Guy! (which will be merged in) from parodies of web sites, and other things.

Does anyone know of such a system, or where I would even start to look for such a system?

Thanks.

From what I'm getting, most CMSes would work fine for what you want. =/

Based on what I found, a CMS is what I was looking for, thanks! I didn't even know what they were called to start looking for one in the first place.

Anyway, so now I have one and I've got it installed and whatnot and I haven't the slightest clue what to do with it. For some reason I thought there'd be like a default template or something to work with so that I could modify it from there, but apparently I have to build the front-end from scratch. I'm not doing so well. http://two.quelorant.com/index.php

(Also note that any images used in the design will be SVG-based, so have your Firefox 1.5 ready before visiting!)

Does anyone have any suggestions, either about what to do with this phpwcms that I have, or on a different CMS that might be a bit easier to work with?

Thanks.

There are plenty of CMSes that have default templates.

I personally don't use a CMS, but I've seen various ones that work nicely...

Try http://nucleuscms.org/ that?
