Lover's Fool
"Everyone is a fool when it comes to love."
Chapter one
What if i betrayed us?Would you ever forgive me?...
Did I do something wrong?

Could you blame me if I told you?

No, you wouldn’t understand if I did.

If only I had the courage to tell him why I did that.

I still feel my heart racing the day he was in hospital. When I heard he was sick I came running as fast as I could go. I felt the lactic acid starting to build in my legs.

But I didn’t care.

I needed to see him.

Before it was too late.

“Jōisan!” I called as I saw her walking down one of the hallways. “Jōisan, please tell me where room 23C is please!” I repeated.

“Upstairs.” Jōisan pointed.

“Thank you.” I replied as I ran to the stairs Jōisan had pointed to earlier.

After a long chase to find room 23C I finally found the door that kept me from him. My feet finally stand still since coming here, I placed my hand on the handle and grasped it, I tighten my grip on the metal handle. I didn’t know what to expect.

If he was dead or not.

I pushed the handle down and pushed the door in front of me slowly. As the gap increased in size I felt my heart beat a second faster and my grip on the metal handle got tenser. Soon the door couldn’t go any further. I wanted the door to go further so I wouldn’t have to see in what condition he was until someone came up to me and tell he was all right.
I released my grip and looked over my shoulder and found him all asleep, so innocent. As I walked over to him I felt my legs losing their strength and soon I ended up collapsing in front of his body. I fell face first on his torso. I looked up onto his face and ran my hair through his thick black hair.

Then I heard the noise I though I would only hear in my nightmares.

I looked up to the monitor and saw a thin green line at the bottom of the screen. My eyes widen with shock and fear and soon water filled in my eyes and found their way down my face. I quickly looked at him as he still had his eyes closed but his chest was not moving up and down. I heard Takeshi call for the doctors with also him scared of losing one of his dearest friends. While I was about to lose the man I loved and treasured so.

I felt Hanako grab me as I tried to go back into Ash’s arms as the doctors ran into the room with equipment that might save Satoshi’s life.

“You can’t die Satoshi!” I yelled. “You can’t die!”

All of that happened six months ago.

*~*~*~*
“You won?”

“Yep.” I replied with a smile.

“Well are you coming over to celebrate?”

I didn’t know what to reply; I bit my bottom lip and tighten my grip on the phone.

“Hello Hakura? Are you still there?”

My lips froze, my head was all out of answer all of a sudden, Should I? After what happened six months ago? Was i ready to face my fear and has he forgiven me yet?

Their were too many questions for me to answer, most of them had no answer. I placed my hand on my head so I could concentrate once more, when I did I replied.

“Hakura?” the other person on the phone asked again.

“Sorry about that Hanako.” I replied as i found the words to reply. “I was...” I paused and replied. “Thinking to myself again.”

“Well dear.” Hanako begun. “Would like to celebrate your win here in Pallet?”

“I would...” I paused and sighed and soon replied. “I would love too.” I said in a cheery voice, trying to convince Hanako that was was happy to go back to Pallet.

Even I wasn’t.

“Okay dear.” Hanako replied. “See you in three days okay?”

“See you in three days then.” I replied as I dropped the phone and took a sigh of relief.

“So you’re going back to Pallet Hakura?” A voice replied right after i dropped the phone.

“Yes Saori.” I replied with a nod. “I need to do this.”

“Very well.” Saori replied. “When are you leaving?” She asked.

“Three days.” I replied.

“Would you want me to help you to ready then?”

“Not yet Saori.” I replied. “I need to make one last phone call.”

“Alright then.” Saori replied as she left me alone once again. I picked up the phone once again and dialled the number to the person I wanted to talk to. When I finished pushing the number down I heard the phone starting to ring and I waited until somebody picked up the phone.

“Hello?” the person greeted.

“Hey Kotone.” I greeted. “Long time no chat eh?”

*~*~*~*

“Six months and still thinking about you.” I said to myself as I looked on the path, kicking a small pebble each step I took but I was interrupted by a cell phone rang in my pocket. I quickly dug into her pocket and answer the call.

“Hakura speaking.”

“Hey Hakura. It’s me Shuu.”

“Look I’m not in the mood. Ash’s mom invited me to visit them in Pallet.” I replied but I quickly covered my mouth realising what I had just said.

“Your going aren’t you?” Shuu asked. “You do know that...”

“I know Shuu.” I replied slightly annoyed. “Let’s not go through this again please.”

“Fine fine.” Shuu replied. “Just making sure...”

“Look let’s just get off topic and I wish you luck in the Orre grand festival.”

“Thanks Hakura.” Shuu replied. “I’ll see you when I get back.”

“See you then.” I replied in soft voice and ended the call and looked up towards the sky and soon memories ran into my mind.

“Hey that one looks like a Swablu!”

“And that one looks a rose.”

I quickly sat up and looked at Drew with a curious look on my face. Drew soon noticed my stare.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Does everything in your life have to be rose-related?”

All Shuu could replied with a laugh at me. Making me more cross but was soon was wiped away when she saw Shuu laughing for the first time. Without him
noticing I slightly blushed and smiled.

“If only I could go back and live those memories again.” I replied as I laid down on the green lush grass. I still looked at the sky as my memory of Satoshi came back to me.

“Hey Satoshi.”

“What is it?”

“Do you ever wonder how it feels to walk and hug a cloud?”

“Nope.” Satoshi replied as he continued to lie on the grass and look at the sky above him.

“Let me guess.” I replied as I put my finger under my chin and pretended to think and lay in my boyfriends arms. “All you think about is how to improve in
pokemon battles right?”

“Nope.” Satoshi replied as he turned his head so he could face me. “I also think about food.” He smiled.

“What?!” I sat up in shock and turned my back and crossed her arms. “You don’t think about me?”

“Of course not.”Satoshi smiled as he sat up and wrapped his arms around me as I slightly blushed. “You didn’t let me finish. I also think about you.”

I turned around and embraced my boyfriend with a smile on my face.

“I also think about you too.” I smiled. “A lot.”

As my mind reminded me of these memories I felt something wet run down my cheeks. I touched it and found out I was crying.

Again.
"Oh Satoshi." I said as my voice dropped into a whisper. "I miss you so much."
End of chapter.

"[Dialogue]," said [character], not "[Dialogue]." said [character].

More commas, more descriptions, less dialogue.

Good job.

Chapter two
"Cry as I may these tears won’t wash you away"

“Where is she?” I said as I was placing around the market. “It can’t take that long to get here.”

“Haruka!” called out a familiar voice.

I turned around and saw it was Kotone. My cousin, she had a white hat with a red ribbon wrapped around the left side. She was wearing blue overalls with a short red sleeves underneath. She also had a white collar attached with a black singlet underneath. She had a huge shoulder yellow bag on her left shoulder and she had red shoes to top everything up.

“Kotone!” I called out in joy. It had been awhile since I had seen my cousin in person. “I see you still like the big hats.” I teased as I pushed her hat down that covered her eyes.

“Hey!” Kotone replied slightly annoyed. “Anyway .” Kotone said as she was bringing up a new topic as she fixed her hat. “You’re going to Pallet again?”

“Yes.” I nodded.

“You sure about this Haruka?” Kotone asked me in a concerned manner. “I mean with what happened to Ash and you—“

“I need to do this.” I interrupted. “I can’t run away from this forever.” I replied as I shuffled through my shopping bags and pulled out a gift for Hikari. “Do you think this will look good on Hikari?”

*~*~*~*

“Isn’t it great to travel again after such a long time Satoshi?” I asked as she smiled at her best friend.

“It sure is.” Satoshi replied. “And May I got something to tell you.”

“What is it?” I asked in a concerned manner. Soon I saw Satoshi lower his face so the shadow of his cap covered his face. Soon he started too wobbly and soon fainted into my arms and made me fall onto the ground.

“Satoshi!” I cried out. “What is happening to you?!”

“He is going to die.” A voice called from behind.

“Shuu?!” I called as I still held my unconscious trainer in my arms. “What are you talking about?”

“What I am talking about is that if you want the most important person in your life to live you have to accept my conditions.” Shuu replied as he flicked his bangs away from his face.

“Why should I?” I yelled. “After all the ways you treated me when I was first started?”

“You have no choice.” Shuu replied as he dropped a dead rose onto the ground. “His life is determined in your hands.” Drew replied as he started to walk away from May.

The young coordinator soon looked back at her friend; fainted in her arms. Tears soon find their way down my cheeks.

“Satoshi...”

“Satoshi!” I yelled as I soon looked around me and found myself still in the poke centre as Kotone was sitting down at the edge of the bed. I looked at the digital clock beside my bed and saw it had just past three in the morning. I could see Kotone’s concerned face by the moons bright light that lit up the room. “It was only a nightmare Haruka.” Kotone replied as she placed her hand on top of mine.

“I haven’t dreamed anything like that in a long time.” I replied as i placed my hand on my cheek and felt it was dry only to find out that I was crying.

Again.

“What was it about?” Kotone asked.

“It was...” I begun and paused. I had trouble finishing the sentence but soon my lips pronounced the words. “about Ash dying.”

Kotone’s eyes widen in shock as I had just finished saying my answer. She covered her mouth in the shock. “Are...you okay?”

“I think I will be fine.” I replied as i felt something wet run down my cheeks.

“You think?” Kotone asked me. “I’m guessing that you don’t want to go back to Pallet. Am I right Haruka?!”

“I...” I paused and soon replied. “I...” but I failed to answer Kotone’s question.

“If you’re not ready then don’t go Haruka! You will just hurt yourself like the last time you—“

“I want to do this Kotone.” I replied. “Even I don’t want to I want to get over my fear.”

“I just don’t want to see you hurt again.” Kotone replied to me. “tell me Haruka.” Kotone said as she was starting a new topic. “Do you still love Satoshi?”

My brain died for that second. No answers could be made. My lips froze in fear that I might pull out the wrong answer. My eyes just widen in shock when Kotone asked me that question. Instead of an answer to my cousin’s question new questions entered my mind like if I still loved Satoshi and if I was really to let go of the past. All I could to was tighten my grip on the blanket that covered me and just started to cry.

I couldn’t believe it. I was crying again.

Kotone came closer and embraced me into her arms. I wrapped my arms around her and cried into her chest.

“I...” I began to mutter as I slowly found the words to speak again. “I do.” I muttered. “I wish I could tell him why I had to do that to him. I wish he could have forgiven me.” I cried. My guilt was starting to kick in. “IT’s ALL MY FAULT!” I yelled.

“It’s not your fault Haruka!” Kotone replied. “How many times have we told you? It’s not your fault. What you did was the right choice.”

I lost my ability to reply. All I could do was just cry even more. I wanted to stop but I couldn’t. I wish there was an off switch to all my feelings so I won’t have to cry anymore.

But there is no off switch in me.

*~*~*~*

It was the next morning and I was at the video phone ready to make a phone call before Kotone and I headed to Pallet. It had been three days since my breakdown but I was ready to go to Pallet. I dialled in the number to the person I wanted to talk to. I turned on the video and waited for somebody to answer the call.

I waited but there was no response.

“Out again I see.” I sighed.

“Come on already Haruka!” Kotone yelled. “We are going to be late!”

I turned off the video phone and dropped the call and started to make my way outside the pokecenter. I looked and the number written on the small piece of srunch paper.

“See you in Pallet then.”

End of chapter.

Chapter three
"The hardest to do is waking up without you."

As Kotone and I aboard the ship my fears inside of me grew. This time I was really going to Pallet, this is for real. Theres no turning back now. I threw my bags somewhere in the same cabin I was shareing with Kotone and I walked straight out to get some fresh air.I reached to the end of the boat to where I laid my arms on the rails and sighed as the boat made its move away from the island of Johto.

“Satoshi…” my thoughts begun but couldn’t find the words to finish the sentence off.

“Haruka?” Kotone asked from behind. “What are you doing here all alone?”

“Nothing much.” I replied as she rested her arms on the rails as well. “So this is it?” She asked me.

“This is it.” I replied. “We are both heading back to Pallet again.”

“Excited?” Kotone asked me.

“More like confused.” I sighed.

“Just don’t worry too much okay Haruka?” Kotone told me as she patted me in the back gently.

“Easier said than done.” I sighed.

*~*~*~*

“Satoshi?!” I called out. “Where are you?!”

I didn’t knew where I was. All I could see was white, everything. I wanted to get out, I wanted to see Satoshi so I kept running forward. Soon a figure started to be sighted in front of me. The small figure came walking up to me. I didn’t knew why I didn’t run away, something in my body told me to stop. Soon the shadowy figure turned into a small child, around five years old. But her face was somehow blurry for me to recognise.

“Mommy?” the small child asked. The voice sounded like a younge girl.

My eyes widen in shock.

“No you can’t be…”

“Mommy why?” the young girl asked. “why?”

“Forgive me.” I told the small child. “I had too.”

“I hate you mommy!” The small child yelled and ran away from me.

“No wait!” I called as I chased the small child but fog started to grow thicker and soon I was back where I started.

Lost.

“Over there daddy!” called out a young girl. I knew by the sound of the voice it was the same girl that called me her mommy.

I turned around and saw the younge girl and a young man holding her hand, I couldn’t tell who the father was because of the fog.

“Why Haruka?” the father of the small child asked me.

“I…” but the words wouldn’t come out. Soon the fog got thicker and then a flash of bright light hit my eyes which made me close my eyes.

I opened my eyes right after and found myself in the cabin I was shareing with Kotone.I looked at her and found her sound asleep.I got dressed in some decent clothes and walked outside.

I laid my back against the wall and looked up into the stars that was covered in a dark blue blanket.I looked down and the sea as the wind blew my hair around. I couldn’t help but to think the dream I just had.

Why did that child come back after so long? Who was the father? Why now?

“Why…” I paused and soon continued. “did you have to come back?”

*~*~*~*

“Were back!” Kotone cheered as she raised her voice and arms into the sky.

“Not so loud Kotone.” I replied as I got off the boat. “Just because you got off the boat first doesn’t mean you have to act like a five year old.”

“Sorry.” Kotone sweat dropped. “I’m just a little excited.”

“A little?” I asked. “Yeah right.”

“So where first?” Kotone asked in a calmer manner.

“To the Pallet town festival.” I replied. “There is always one around here at this time of year.”

“Alright then.” Kotone begun. “Let’s go!”

Kotone put her bags over her shoulder and started to walk a little ahead of me. As we were heading to the market I asked myself why was I going to the festival? Was I trying to avoid my fears again? If I was what was the point? Im here in Pallet, theres no point trying to avod them now.

Soon we reached the festival and there were plenty of people as usual. The ferris wheel was going around in a circular direction and the ‘welcome’ sign was there with stalls of food and games on each side you look at, there were old rides and a few new ones that even I wanted to try out.

“Hey Haruka.” Kotone started as she turned around to face me. “Why don’t we have some fun why we are here?”

“I guess but I think I might pass.” I told Kotone.

“Why’s that?” Kotone asked.

“I got to have some fairy foss first.” I smiled.

“Typical Haruka.” Kotone laughed.

*~*~*~*

“One fairy foss for me sir.” I asked as I made my way yo the fairy foss stand.

“One for me as well sir.” A voice called behind me. Straight away I knew who the person was. I turned around and saw a young girl with navy blue hair with a white beanie.

“HIKARI?!” I called out in shock.

“HARUKA?!” Hikari replied. “What are you doing here?

“I was about to ask you the same thing.” I replied.

“Mrs. Ketchum invited me here.” Hikari replied as the man handed both our fairy foss. “You?”

“Same.” I replied as tok my first bite into the fairy foss.

“Time sure flies fast doesn’t it. Who long has it been, six months?”

“Around ‘bout that.” I replied with my mouth full.

“Say you stil do pokemon contests?” Hikari asked me.

“Yeah.” I nodded as I shallowed my food. “Just won the Johto grand festival.”

“Wow, congrates Haruka.” Hikari smiled. “I just lost the Hoenn grand festival. I came into the semi finals, I lost to Kenny again.” Hikari sighed.

“No need to worry.” I smiled as I copied the young corodinators sayings.

“Say how about a pokemon battle?” Hikari asked me.

“Sure.” I replied. “Just let me finish first.”

*~*~*~*

“Venasaur on stage now!”

“Quilava spotlight!”

We both threw our poke balls onto the battle field and when they made contact with the ground the poke balls open wide and released both our pokemon onto the battle field. Kotone had just came back from winning a maril plushie with her Megunuim by her side.

“One on one Haruka?” Hikari asked.

“Sure.” I nodded. “Okay Venasaur, vine whip!”

“Quilava flame wheel now!”

Quilava’s fast speed made my grass type attack a total fail and Quilava was heading towards Venasaur and high speed.

“Earthquake!” I commaned.

Venasuar lifted one of its feet and slammed it on the ground just enough for Quilava to lost its balance on the ground and made it fly into mid air from the attack.

“Vinewhip!” I called out.

Venasaur summoned its vines and slammed Quilava onto the ground. Smoke covered the field which made it hard for me to see what had happened to Quilava.

“Now Quilava flamethrower!” Hikari commanded her fire type pokemon.

Quilava jumped out of the smoke and had a birds eye view of Venasaur. It opened its mouth and released a shorching fire type attack right at Venasaur. Venasaur cried out in pain.

“Venasaur!” I called out.

“Job well done Quilava.” Hikari complamented her pokemon as Quilava landed on its four feet once again.

“Quilava!” Quilava happily cheered.

“This isn’t over yet.” I called out “Venasaur use stun spore!”

Venasaur soon realeased a gold powered from its flower located at its back. It spread through the whole field and making Quilava stop in its track.

“Nowe Giga drain!” I called out.

And just as I called out Venasaur used Giga drain to restore it energy. When the move was over Quilava was puffing out air. Its feet started to woby and soon Quilava fainted on the field.

“You did great out ther Quilava.” Hikari said as she carried her injured pokemon into her arms.

“Fantastic job out there Venasaur.” I told my pokemon. “Time for you to have a rest.” I added as I returned Venasaur back into its poke ball. Soon I and Kotone walked over to Hikari. “Great battle Hikari.”

“You too Haruka.” Hikari replied.

“Haruka, Kontone and Hikari!” a voice called.

“It can’t be…” the three of us muttered.

We saw a young girl with a white hat and a half red poke ball running towards us. She had a teal sleeveless top with a red skirt. She had a bag that had a strap across her chest with her long brown hair flying everywhere as she ran towards us. She had red shoes and white socks to finish everything off.

“Amiko!” I greeted as I waved to greet her.

“Hey…Haruka.” Amiko replied as she was puffing for air from the all the running she did just to catch up to us.

“Why are you here anyway?” I asked.

“I came to…get you guys because…the other guests have come and…you’re the only ones left…” Amiko explained.

“Everyone?” Kotone asked.

“Everyone except you guys.” Amiko replied as she was slowly getting her air back.

Kontone and I exchanged glances. This was it. I was about to face one of my deepest fears.

End of chapter.

Sorry for the LONG DAY, had no internet for one month, it was such a pain.

Chapter four
“A loving heart will always know the feelings words can’t always show.”

I wanted to run. I wasn’t ready to go back. I can’t believe I got this far. Save me someone, anyone!

But before I knew it I was already facing the Ketchum resident. As just my memories recalled it, the small little house still didn’t changed. I saw Kotone, Hikari and Amiko walked through the gate until they notice that I haven’t made a move yet.

“Coming?” Amiko asked. “Everyone is waiting.”

Everyone was waiting, even he was waiting, what should I do? There were so many answers that came into my mind that the one I chose was to run. I closed my eyes hoping that wherever I ran it would take me far away from here.

*~*~*~*

“Haruka...” Kotone said as I hear Kotone call my name as she saw me on the chair with my head laid on my lap. “Are you okay?”

“Kotone...” I muttered. “His gone from me...forever...” I cried.

“Haruka please.” Kotone replied as she took a seat next to me and wrapped her arms around me. “Everything will be fine.”

“I had to do it Kotone, there was no other choice.” I said as I started to cry deeply onto Kotone’s torso.

“If you could tell Satoshi I’m sure he would understand.” Kotone replied.

"you know Kotone." I began as I continued to cry on Kotone's torso. "I might be young but i just lost the most important thing worth living for." I added as i continued to cry.

"Haruka."

*~*~*~*

I haven’t forgiven myself since that day.

“But it was the only damn way!” I yelled as I opened my eyes and found myself on the ground and realised that I have bumped into somebody. “I’m-I’m-I’m so sorry.” I stuttered. “I didn’t mean to hurt you sir.”

“That’s okay.” The person replied with a slight laughed. “It was my fault anyway. I wasn’t looking were I was going.”

Then I knew I who that person was.

“Sato...Satoshi?!” I called out in shock.

“Haruka?!” Satoshi called back. “Wha...What are you doing here?”

“I’m celebrating my win from the Johto grand festival.” I replied. It felt weird that I was talking to him in such a long time.

“You do know that the house is that way right?” Ash pointed to the opposite direction from where I was running.

Of course I knew it was just I wasn’t ready to face all my fears again.

“I knew that I was just umm...” I replied as I tried to find a word to finish off my sentence.

“Forget about it.” Satoshi interrupted as he got onto his feet. “Why don’t we go back to the house together?” Satoshi asked.

“Su...Sure.” I replied as I could tell that I had blushed as Satoshi offered his hand to help me get up.

And after Satoshi helping me onto my stumbled feet we didn’t say anything after that. Soon I started to see Hikari closing towards Satoshi and I.

“Satoshi, Haruka!” Hikari waved. “So that’s why you two didn’t come sooner. You did something together didn’t you?” Dawn teased as she lifted an eyebrow.

“NO!” Satoshi and I yelled at the same time. “Nothing will ever happen between Haruka and me...” Ash called out and soon paused and continued. “...not after that night.” Satoshi muttered.

And of course I knew what he was talking about. Even I couldn’t forget a night like that. Soon Satoshi continued to walk ahead of Hikari and me.

“Sorry to ruin your moment with Satoshi.” Hikari whispered.

“Nothing happened between us Hikari.” I replied.

“Thank goodness.” Hikari muttered.

“Did you say something Hikari?” I asked.

“Nothing Haruka.” Hikari smiled and sweated dropped. “Anyway everyone is waiting for us, the party is about to start!” Hikari called out as she grabbed my hand and started to run and I got dragged along as well.

As we were running a felt a smiled soon growing on my face. I didn’t have the fear I started off with, the fear of running away from Satoshi. To be honest I was glad that he wasn’t angry when I accidently bumped into him. It was so nice to see him again and just maybe.

Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea coming back to Pallet after all.

*~*~*~*

“Satoshi?” I began. “I need to talk to you.”

“What is it Haruka?” Satoshi asked me.

“I’m...” I paused and soon continued. “I’m breaking up with you.”

“Why...why Haruka?” Satoshi asked in a slightly higher tone of voice.

“I can’t...tell you right now Satoshi.” I cried. “In fact I won’t be able to tell you why I’m doing this Satoshi but please remember this, I love you so much.”

“If you love me then why Haruka? Tell me why?!” Satoshi yelled. “Please!”

“I’m sorry Satoshi, I’m so sorry.” I cried as I turned my back on Satoshi and ran. “I’m so so sorry...”

*~*~*~*

“Welcome back Haruka!” Hanako greeted as she hugged me as her sign of greeting.

“Nice to see you as well Mrs. Ketchum.” I smiled. “It’s nice to back home.”

“Well haven’t you turned into such a more gorgeous woman.” Hanako said.

“Why thank you.” I blushed. “Anyway Hikari shall we go look for the others?” I asked as I changed the topic. “I got a friend I’m sure you would love to meet.”

“Okay.” Hikari smiled as we ran into the living room looking for a friend of mine.

We continued to look around the house until I found the person I was looking for. She had a yellow sleeveless top with a matching yellow skirt. On the middle of her top was a blue button with a blue collar. She had orange hair with a side ponytail.

“Kasumi!” I called out. “Long time no see!”

“Haruka!” Kasumi called back as she ran towards Hikari and me with her Azurill in her arms. “It has been a long time.” Kasumi replied as she noticed Hikari behind me. “And who is your new friend?” Kasumi asked.

“This is Hikari; she is also a pokemon coordinator like me. She comes from Twinleaf town from the Sinnoh region. She also travelled with Ash while he was in the Sinnoh as well.”

“Nice to meet you.” Hikari smiled.

“Nice to meet you as well Hikari.” Kasumi replied. “I’m Kasumi, the gym leader of Cerulean city; I also travelled with Ash when he first started when he was travelling the Kanto and Johto.”

“So that means you live near Satoshi right?” Hikari asked in a worried tone.

“Yeah but I haven’t been able to visit him recently. Not due to the fact that I’m a gym leader it’s that whenever I do have the chance to visit him he is either not home or not in town. From what I have heard from Hanako he hasn’t left to the Orre region which was one of the regions he was planning to go six months ago. I’m starting to get worried.” Kasumi paused and soon continued. “Satoshi isn’t like this. Normally whenever he hears of a new region he would go straight away with hesitation.”

As soon as Kasumi mentioned Ash wasn’t going to the Orre region a memory ran through my mind.

“Haruka.” Satoshi begun. “Can I ask you something?”

“Go ahead Satoshi.” I replied.

“After the Johto battle frontier in Johto mind if you, ummm.” Satoshi blushed as he was trying to finish his sentence. “Come to the Orre region with me, that’s if that is okay with you.”

“Of course.” I replied with a smile. “I was planning to go there anyway so I can enter in the Orre grand festival.”

“Really?!” Satoshi replied in shock. “Okay then when I finish here in the Sinnoh league meet me back at Pallet okay?”

“Okay then.” I replied. “Anyway I’ll see you there at the Wallace Cup okay?”

“Sure thing Haruka!” Satoshi replied.

I haven’t seen Satoshi smiled like that in a long time.

“But he still trains his pokemon right?” I asked since I was starting to get concerned for Satoshi as well as soon as my memory of that scene faded away.

“Rarely.” Kasumi replied. “Sometimes Satoshi would go away for a couple of days and come back without saying a word to anyone. He even leaves Pikachu and his pokemon here which is not like Satoshi at all.”

“I’m worried. “ Hikari replied. “He was acting strange when we were at the Johto battle frontier. I think I can recall that he was planning to stay at Pallet once he was finish in Johto. I was surprised because we caught up with Shiguru earlier and he was heading to the Orre region and Satoshi was so psyche about it.”

“And when he left he decided not to right?” I asked.

“Yeah.” Hikari nodded.

“I have to see him.” I told Kasumi and Hikari. “I’ll be back.” I added as I walked away from the two and started to find Satoshi.

It took me awhile to find him but soon I found Satoshi outside at the front laying his back against the wall.

“So here you are.” I began as I took a set right next to Satoshi. “Is it true that you didn’t go to the Orre region?”

“Did Kasumi tell you that?” Satoshi replied as he avoided eye contact with me.

“That doesn’t matter who I got it from Satoshi. What matters is why didn’t you go? Why don’t you battle as as often as before and why do go away and don’t tell where you have been? Why Satoshi?”

“Because I quit.” Satoshi replied.

“You...quit?” I replied in shock. “But you can’t Satoshi, what about your dream of becoming a pokemon master?”

“That dream died six months ago along with my feelings for you.” Satoshi replied.

I froze. I knew this would happen but I really had no choice. I had to do it.

“Look Satoshi what happened between us... don’t let that be the cause for you to stop reaching your goals. You taught me to never give up and look at me, I won the Johto grand festival and it was all because of you.”

“What about Shuu?” Satoshi replied. “I bet you’re having a great time with him since you dumped me for him.” Satoshi called as he turned towards me. “Why Haruka? You knew that I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you so why hurt me so badly? I love you... I mean I loved you so much.”

“I can’t tell you Satoshi. I’m sorry.” I replied as I was the one who was trying to avoid eye contact with him as I felt water build in my eyelids.

“Just like before.” Satoshi replied as he shifted his eyes away from me once again. “I didn’t go to the Orre region because I promised myself that I would go with you and nobody else. That’s why.”

“So it’s my fault then. It’s all my fault again.” I muttered as I felt wet tears starting to escape my eyes and run down my cheeks. “It's all my damn fault again!”

“Again?” Satoshi asked me. “What do you mean again Haruka?”

And then I realised that I nearly spilled the beans to Satoshi.

“I’m sorry Satoshi, I’m so sorry but I can’t tell you why!” I cried as I got up and ran away from him.

“Haruka...”

I ran into the house and trying to find a place where I could hide and cry to my heart’s content. Soon I found myself in the bathroom crying in the shower with my arms wrapped around my knees.

“I still love you Satoshi but we can’t get back together again.” I cried. “I love you so much.” I repeated as slowly started to close my eyes and slowly descend to the chilling tiles underneath me.

Chapter five
"Two souls that beat as one"

When I opened my eyes I found myself lying down. I couldn't tell what my surroundings well since the area was all covered by mist and soon I knew where I was. Soon I decided to sit up and dust myself.

I was in a place where it always seems to exist in my dreams. I knew this because I had this dream in this place many countless times.

"Mommy?" A young girl asked in a worried tone. "Is that you?"

I knew that voice. It was a voice of a young girl who keeps calling me her mother.

"Mommy?" the young girl asked as her voice got louder to hear as I heard her footsteps coming closer to me. "I missed you mommy."

I could see a figure in front of me and I hugged her tight. I was surprised that she wasn't a ghost you normally see in movies where when you try to hug them you can't. I didn't knew what went over me but I felt tears running down my cheeks. I stopped hugging the young girl and soon I saw a part of her face. She had blue sapphire eyes that was good enough to break through the mist so I could see them. I placed my hands until I could feel hair. Her hair was thick and long, what was the colour I really couldn't tell.

Then I saw water build up in her eyes. I placed my hands in her cheeks and felt water run down her soft cheeks.

"I wish I could see you and daddy, mommy." the young girl cried. "I miss the way you always touch my softly." the young girl added.

"One day." I replied as I kissed the young girl on her fore head and closed my eyes. "One day…hopefully."

And when I opened my eyes I saw a white coloured ceiling above me and then I soon realised that I was out of my dream. I sat up and saw I was in a one of the Ketchum rooms and found myself on the one of their beds and on one of my sides was surprisly Satoshi sitting on the chair with his head on the mattress. He was sound asleep as I gazed at him. I slowly lifted my hand and placed it his thick hair and ran my fingers through them. I quickly placed my fingers out of his hair when Satoshi's eyes started to flicker and open wide and the first thing he saw was me sitting up and all awake. We stared at each other for awhile.

I didn't knew how long it was but I enjoyed looking into his aburned eyes once more.

"So your awake." Satoshi began as broke the slience between the two of us. "I better go." Satoshi added as he got up and started to make his way out of the room.

"Wait!" I called out. "Why did you look over me while I was sleeping?" I asked.

"Well…umm…" Satoshi began. "Because nobody would so I decided I would do it."

"Were you worried?" I asked.

"Kinda." Satoshi replied as he looked over his shoulder. "Even what happened between us I wouldn't want you laying on the cold tiles like that." he added as he continued to walk out of the door.

"Thankyou." I replied.

As I said that word Satoshi froze at the doorway for a few seconds and then continue his way.

And soon after Hikari came running in and soon embraced me.

"Thank goodness your all right Haruka." Hiakri greeted as she soon broke the hug.

"What happen to me anyway?" I asked. "After falling asleep in the bathroom."

"I saw Satoshi carry you here." Hikari replied. "He was watching over you like a child. He wouldn't leave your side. I even saw him run the back on his fingers on your cheeks softly. It was so cute and romantic Haruka. You should of seen it. That look in his eyes is so charming." Hikari added I soon started to see sparkles in her eyes like she was one of Satoshi fan girls. "you know." Hikari begun as she soon returned back to normal. "I think he might…" Hikari paused and soon continued. "still have feelings for you Haruka." Hikari muttered.

"You think?" I asked. "Do you think it's a good idea to raise my hopes up again?"

"I dunno." Hikari sighed. "Falling in love can be confusing eh?"

"More than that Hikari. Falling in love is risking yourself for the pain you might recive at the end if things don't go to plan."

"What if you were in love with someone and they didn't knew that you were in love with them or they didn't like you and liked someone else. What would you do?"

"Well I wouldn't know what to do. It hurts to watch the person in love with somebody else and not you, wishing that you were the one in their arms or the one holding hands with them."

"I understand." Hikari muttered. "It hurts." Hikari added as looked away for a slight moment and slifted her eyes back at me. "Is begin in love with the one you love give you a happy feeling?" Hikari asked.

"It's a feeling that I won't be able to explain to you Hikari. You just have to experience it yourself oneday."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I felt like I needed to wash my body clean after what happened. So I walked to the bathroom and got myself ready for a shower. I opened the shower door and walked myself in and turned the taps on. I felt the cold water run down my back and my whole body.

"Why did Hikari ask me questions about love?" I asked myself as I poured shampoo into my hands and soon into my hair. "Is she in love?" I asked myself again as I scrubbed the shampoo into my hair. "But how can she be in love? She's as dense as Satoshi when it comes to love...until we fell in love with each other." I sighed.

I placed my hair under the cold water to rinse my hair and soon got my hands on the conditioner bottle and placed some into my hands and onto my hair.

"It just doesn't make sense though." I thought. "She has been acting really weird since we met after six months and why is that little girl keep coming back more often than before?" I asked myself. "Why?"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Satoshi?" I asked. "I have something I really want to tell you." I added as I said as I knew that I blushed after saying that sentence.

"What is it Haruka?" Satoshi asked me.

"We have been friends for such a long time and I thought you should know something." I replied.

"Really?" Satoshi asked.

"Yes." I nodded. "I like you." I replied.

"I like you to Haruka." Satoshi smiled.

I knew he didn't got it since he was dense as a rock.

"I mean I love you Satoshi." I replied as I kissed him lighty on his lips.

"You…love me?" Satoshi replied in shock. "Well I like you to." Satoshi replied. "More than friends." Satoshi added.

"Satoshi." I replied as I felt teas were soon going to run down my face. "You don't know how happy you made me." I replied as I embraced him.

"I'm glad that I could make you happy Haruka." Satoshi replied as he to, wrapped his arms around me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was in my room while I was getting ready to sleep and head back to home in Petalburg until I heard noises coming out of my room.

"Hey Satoshi." A young voice called. I could tell it was Hikari.

"What is it Hikari?" Satoshi asked.

"Do you still like Haruka?" Hikari asked.

"You shouldn't ask questions like that Hikari." Satoshi replied as he turned the door knob.

"Well I just want to tell you that she still likes you." Hikari replied.

I saw Satoshi's eyes widen in shock. I couldn't help but to walk out of my room and gained Satoshi and Hikari's attension. Satoshi walked up to me slowly and when we were face to face I was afraid that when he asked me a question that I couldn't reply back.

"Is it true Haruka?" Satoshi asked. "Do you still love me?"

"I…" I replied. Those were the only words I could say to him before running into my room and slamming the door shut and just lay my back on the door and started to cry.

"Haruka." Satoshi replied. "I still love you. Please remember that." Satoshi added as I heard him walk away from the door.

"And I love you as well Satoshi." I cried. "I love you so much."

"Then tell him then." A young child replied.

"I can't" I replied. I knew who was the young child. It was the one from my dreams.

"Why?" The young child asked.

"Because I promised Shuu that I won't go back with Satoshi." I replied as tears kept running down my face.

"Shuu? Is that your boyfriend?" the child asked.

"Yes." I replied. "His my boyfriend."

"Do you love him as much as daddy?" she asked.

"Yes." I muttered. "I've learned to love him as much as daddy."

"But why?" the young child asked.

"I don't know!" I cried.

"Don't cry mommy." The young child replied as she came to hug me. She might be not real but her hug felt like Satoshi's. "Daddy loves you so much. I hope you can find which one you want to love forever and ever!" the young girl cheered as she tried the make me smile in which she did.

"You remind me so much of your father." I smiled. "That's why I love him so much."

"And that's why I love you both so much." The young girl smiled before she faded away from my sights.

When the young girl faded away I couldn't help but to smile at what she said but when she said why I loved Shuu I really didn't know why I did. I mean his the one that I'm in this situation in the first place.

Chapter six
Sometimes you just don't know how madly in love I am with you.

“Pallet town summer festival?” I asked. “Already?”

“Yeah.” Kasumi replied. “After that I would like you, Hikari,Satoshi and Amiko to the gym in Cerulean for a water pokemon battle I’m planning to hold.”

“One thing at a time Kasumi.” I laughed slightly. “One thing at a time.”

“So anyway.” Hikari added as she entered the conversation. “What would we be wearing?” She asked in an excited tone.

“A Yukata.” Misty replied. “Its kind of a Pallet town tradition.”

“A Yukata?” Amiko asked as she somehow enter the conversation. “What’s a Yukata?”

“A Yukata is like a kimoto but more for the summer season.” Hikari replied.

“Is a kimoto is like some sort of dress?” I asked as it was easy to tell that I had no idea on fashion.

“Yeah.” Amiko replied. “I bet you will look so cute in a Yukata Haruka.” Amiko smiled.

Maybe I would but thing is that I couldn’t remember the last time I wore something that looked similar to a dress.

“When is the festival?” I asked trying to get my mind off wearing a Yukata.

“In two days.” Kasumi replied. “Sorry for the late notice.” Kasumi sweat dropped.

“That means we need to go shopping now!” Hikari panicked.

“Great.” I sweat dropped. “So who is telling Satoshi about this?” I asked.

“Well Hikari and I are too busy this week. So is it okay if you tell him Haruka?” Kasumi asked.

“Sure.” I smiled but inside of me I was worried what would happen if I did talk to Satoshi alone. Just him and I.

I shook my head left and right a couple of times to get the bad ideas out of my head and headed to Satoshi’s room. As i was ready to place my hand on the doorknob and twist it to open the door I felt it was already open. I was surprised but I still entered the room. I saw Satoshi looking at his past badges.

“Satoshi?” I asked as I entered the room and closed the door behind me.

“Haruka?” Satoshi asked. “what are you doing here?”

“I just want to tell you that the Pallet town festival is coming up soon and we all have to wear Yukata’s.” I replied.

“Great now I have to wear I dress.” Satoshi sighed.

“Guess so.” I replied and soon followed a laugh and soon Satoshi followed.

We haven’t laughed together in a long time.

“Satoshi?” I asked.

“What is it Haruka?” Satoshi asked.

“You know what happened between us in the past. I don’t want that to be the reason for us to keep avoiding each other so if it is alright with you. Can we be friends again?” I replied as I knew I that i had a big red blush across my face.

“Of course that’s fine with me.” Satoshi replied as he came walking towards my direction and grabbed my hand. “As long it’s ok with you.” Satoshi smiled.

“Satoshi...” I muttered as I laid my head on his torso. “I’m so sorry.” I muttered as I looked up and saw Satoshi looking right back at me with a blush across his face.

I had no idea what went over me or us but I felt like I need to kiss him. I slowly moved my lips onto his. While we were kissing I felt my own tears running down my cheeks. Then out of nowhere I lifted my hands and run them up Satoshi’s back and knocked off his hat and Satoshi undid the knot that kept my bandana together. Both my green bandana and Satoshi’s hat fell to the carpet.

Then I slowly unzipped his back and yellow vest and then felt Satoshi’s fingers unzipping my orange vest and both fell onto the carpet. We kept on kissing until I fell onto Satoshi’s bed first while him on top of my body. I felt him kissing from my sternum and slowly up my neck. I ran my fingers though his thick black as Satoshi moved his fingers under my black singlet and unclipped my bra as I slowly made my way down Satoshi’s pants. Then soon we both found out what were were about to do and got off each other.

“I better go.” I replied nervously as I clipped my bra back up.

“Umm, yeah.” Satoshi replied as he put his black and yellow vest back on. “Haruka?” Satoshi asked as I was putting my bandana back on top of my head. “Why did you kiss me?”

“Well...” I replied as I was finding a hard time finding the right words to reply. “Maybe I still love you Satoshi.” I replied.

“You...still...love me Haruka?!” Satoshi asked surprised.

But I reply after that. All I did was smile back at Satoshi and walk out of his room. When I was walking out of Satoshi room I was greeted by Hikari.

“So how did it go?” Hikari asked as i saw Kasumi right behind her.

“It went great.” I smiled. “We are friends again but I’m not sure if his coming to the festival though.”

“I’m coming!” Satoshi called out from his room as the three of us turned around and saw Satoshi coming towards us. “Even if it means I have to wear a dress.” Satoshi sighed.

“It’s a Yukata Satoshi.” Hikari corrected.

“Well it’s still a dress.” Satoshi replied as he rolled his eyes.

“But you wore once when we were travelling together Satoshi.” Kasumi replied. “What the matter if you wear one now?” Kasumi asked.

“I never liked it Kasumi and if I told you at the time you would probably hit me like you always did.” Satoshi replied.
“And what would make you think that I won’t hit you now? You knew that I both that kimoto with my own money!” Kasumi replied as flames started to appear all over her out of nowhere. Hikari and I hid behind Satoshi.

“What are you two doing behind me?!” Satoshi replied in shock.

“Fix this Satoshi!” Hikari cried as she grabbed Satoshi’s arm tightly.

“Same here!” I called out as I too grabbed Satoshi’s arm tightly.

“Let’s just get out of here!” Satoshi called out and ran as Hikari and I tagged along.

“Come back here Satoshi!” Kasumi yelled. “I’m not finish with you yet!” Kasumi continued to yelled as she too race past Amiko.

"Hey?!" Amiko asked. "Where is everyone going?!"

Hmmm... Normally I don't read Multi-Shipping fics but, this fic has me at the edge of my seat.
It seems Haruka still has feelings for Satoshi.
I assume the little girl in Haruka's dream is Satoshi and Haruka's daughter. I wonder if she'll have a much important role in the story.
Anyways, I love this story and eagerly awaiting next chapter. :)

Best Regards,
-Trinity

Yes! Yes! I love this story! I'm always up for a little mystery to think about! I like the idea of this ghost girl =D. It's a very intresting story indeed and I can't wait for the next chapter. (To me its seems funny with Hikari's part you make her seem like a little kid lol) Also I like Haruka in this! Reminds me of myself who goes of daydreaming right in the middle, of an important moment. *sighs*

Wow, thanks guys for the reviews. i promise the next chapter will be up, either after christmas or early next year somewhere in the first week of Jan.
