Welcome to the fourteenth instalment in the Lost Tower Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the older installments of the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: What was your first Nintendo handheld console?. Earlier this year, I asked what your first Pokémon game was. However, as each console is backwards compatible with the previous generation, it might be worth knowing what your first console was. So answer away! (Some varients, such as Gameboy Micro and Nintendo DSi are given their own options due to removing backwards compatibility).

The original Game Boy, but the screen was too grainy for my liking, so I preferred playing the games on the SNES' Super Game Boy.

Gameboy color, the blue and yellow Pokemon one. It came with batteries that had pikachu on them. I wish I'd kept those. Ah well, still got that gameboy color somewhere.

Aaaaah the days of the old grey block. I remember the first game I got for it Super Mario the original ^^

I played for hours and hours on that thing and had to stock up on AA batteries XD

The good old gameboy for Gen 1... Well, it wasn't exactly mine cuz it was my cousin's... still, my first console I ever got to play with XDD

Pocket all the way. It consumed more AA batteries than I care to remember.

Well my sister and I shared our handhelds. I somewhat remember first playing a gameboy color, but I still have the original black and white gameboy in my toy box that no longer works, so I went with that. Not that I still have games to play it on. The first handheld system I could call fully mine was the gameboy sp.

First handheld for me was a solid purple Gameboy Color. Too bad it was broken.

My first portable video game system was a teal blue GBC (5 March 2000, my birthday). The only game I had for it at the time was Matchbox Caterpillar Construction Zone.

GBA. Some sort of violet, I think it was.
Before then I was playing handheld Pokémon on the N64

Gameboy Colour, in some ways I consider it a shame I had not a chance to be a Nintendo fan from day one!
