Hello Everynyan! Welcome to the twenty-eighth instalment in the Lost Tower Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Do you play originals or remakes? Now that both the Generation I and Generation II primary pairs have been remade, when you want to replay those games, do you play the originals of their remakes?

I'll go with neither since Gen I and Gen II are severely outdated, and the remakes failed to fix some of the problems the originals had.

Remakes are the same as the originals but better. What's not to love about them?

Mainly remakes, as My Gold battery is dead, and blue has too many glitches for my tastes.

Remakes all the way!!! I think, as a stand alone game, if you ignore the fact that it is a remake, HGSS is the best Pokemon game. The old storyline plus improved graphics and playability make the remakes (especially HGSS) amazing!!!

I play gen I original, but gen II remakes. I never really liked FR/LG, and while G/S aren't bad games, I think HG/SS outclasses them in every imaginable way.

When I feel nostalgic I play the original Gen 1 games (mostly Yellow) and I lost my Gen 2 games, so I can only play the remakes HG/SS.

I would replay the Gen 2 remakes If I wanted to play through those regions again. This is mostly because my G/S game's batteries are dead so the games wont save. I also enjoyed the experience of playing HG/SS. Also, when I want to play Gen 1 again, it would be a tougher decision. Only Gen 1 has Pokemon Yellow which is one of my favorite Gen 1 games. However I do like FireRed/LeafGreen, but also enjoy the original games for nostalgia reasons and for more simple gameplay( Gen 1 has no EV training, shinies, breeding, etc), so that answer is, if I wanted to just enjoy Gen 1, I would replay Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow.

Remakes all the way. Ever since I was addicted to Gen 3, I had never been able to play Gen 1 or Gen 2 - there are so less challenges and so little to do. FRLG at least has better graphics and the Sevii Islands.

Also, HGSS has more pokemon after gaining access to Kanto. After all, it's got four generations worth...

The Remakes- some of the buttons on the Gameboy in my house need a painful amount of force from your fingers in order for them to activate the command properly, my Gold and Red disappeared quite some time ago, and the music and graphics have improved as well as other areas of the game.

REMAKES ALL THE WAY! (cause I entered Pokemon in the 3rd, mostly 4th Gen)

Gen I originals, Gen II remakes. ^^

I didn't like the second generation, mainly because I don't like Johto Pokémon... But I enjoyed playing the remakes with Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokémon. And I play the original Kanto games, because the remixed soundtrack of the remakes is awful.

Gen I remakes, Gen II originals.

I started playing Gen III, and as a result, I'm more familiar with FireRed and LeafGreen. But I somehow got a copy of Crystal, which made me more familiar with Gen II than HG and SS. FRLG is the original with the Sevii Islands, and I like the Sevii Islands. In HGSS, it's redesigned with a few new areas. But I still prefer GSC over HGSS, and RBY is too...outdated and glitchy, compared to FireRed and LeafGreen.

I prefer the remakes, but with Gen 1 (and the remakes) I play Red because that's the only one I have. But I would prefer to play FR/LG.
