Centered around the older installments of the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. With that out of the way, here is the poll: What was your first Pokémon game? Did you begin with Pokémon in Generation I, or were you a late adopter?

My first Pokémon game was a Generation I title which is Red version.

From the video games it was Gen.II - Crystal.

Mine were Red and Blue (My mom bought them for me at the same time)

I'm an old school veteran from the original Generation 1 games XD

My first games were Blue and Red, but I didn't really get into Pokemon until I bought Pokemon Yellow. Pokemon Yellow was the best Pokemon game I ever had and still have. I have the best memories from the old days of Pokemon and will cherish them for the rest of my life.

My first pokemon game in general was Shadows of Almnia but my first main series game was Platinum.

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Silver. I love that game.

I got blue version as my first game along with my gameboy which I think I got for my 7th birthday I loved it!

My first main series game was Gold, and my first spinoff was Snap. I can't quite remember which one I got first, though I think it was Gold, so that's what I voted.

Gold was the first game I actually owned, but I had played some of Yellow and Red before that.

Blue forever

Even though I lost the game and since I was so young at the time barely remember it. But I kept playing Pokemon for the rest of my life, so it was definitely amazing.

The first Pokemon game I played was Red, but my first Pokemon game of my own was Diamond.
That's still the game I restart the most.

Pokemon Red. I'm proud to say I bought it on England's launch day of October 1st 1999. (I remember pointless things like these) I got into the Anime the month before, which was perfect timing.
