Hey guys i want to know about Raikuro can you please tell me about him???????

He's talking about Lucario. Just so this thread isn't a total waste, I'm making this the official thread on Lucario. ~Roses Ablaze

I would like to amend that article and state that Rukario is NOT, I repeat NOT CONFIRMED to be a legendary pokemon. The odds are very high that it is, but the fact that Rukario had a "trainer" in the movie, and we know nothing about D/P's plot, it cannot be certain. Rukario certainly shows the same amount of power that a legendary normally possesses.
 
Does anyone object to me editing the title of this thread to make it the official Lucario thread?

I agree plus his powers are probably that stong due to his age just like the gastly and haunter that ash met in the orange islands that stayed after their trainer died, (by the way do pokemon ever die) cos in the game there's pokemon tower...

I think it's been established in the games and anime that they do. They probably live longer than the animals we have on Earth, but there's no reason to suggest that Pokémon are immortal.
 
The Legendaries problably live forever or damn near close to it, though, unless killed with force.

Yeah, 'cause humans killed the dogs at one point before Ho-oh resurrected them. Plus, in MR Gio almost gets to the point where he might kill Mewtwo. Celebii died ... Latios died ... Deoxys only goes dormant like Jirachi, but ...
 
Why doesn't that article describe Lucario's abilities as seen in the movie? Like the fact that it possesses what is apparently a new attack, and that it appears to have a built in sonar-like ability that enables it to "see" better with its ears than with its eyes.
 
I believe the new attack was mentioned somewhere as hadoudan (someone needs to check on that, I may not be remembering the name correctly), and similarly, the enhanced perception is its ability to sense the hadou of its surroundings, and has nothing to do with hearing.
 
Oh...I got the impression it closed its eyes in order to listen better, and thought the visual representation of it that we saw was like sonar.

So by your post I would assume that "wave" isn't an entirely accurate translation of hadou? I'm still not sure what exactly hadou is...
 
I think I heard somewhere that it could be translated as "aura" or something similar. Like a "wave" as in "wavelength," maybe?

It's explained in the movie as being basically the same as "ki" or "aura". "Wave" is a translation of half of the term; the other half is something along the lines of "guidance".

...I've also considered the possibility of a rather irreverent translation of the movie, where it would be rendered as "the Force".
 
I hope they come up with some really cool legendaries for the next arc or bring mew into the anime more cos they never really focus on legendaries in the anime.
