Lucas Mix Scout launches in Pokémon Masters EX — Iono & Bellibolt featured for the first time in the Monthly Poké Fair Scout

In what was technically the game's last update for 2024, Pokémon Masters EX has debuted its latest Mix Scout exclusive Sync Pair with the launch of the Lucas & Torterra Mix Scout. Iono & Bellibolt also make a return for their first ever appearance in the Monthly Poké Fair Scout, while the final batch of 28 Sync Pairs have received their Superawakening upgrade.

Lucas & Torterra to debut in a new Mix Scout
A new Mix Scout exclusive Sync Pair, Lucas & Torterra, are set to make their debut with the new year in the Lucas Mix Scout. As with previous Mix Scout exclusive pairs, Lucas & Torterra can be expected to use the same Trainer Costume as Lucas & Dialga, and the pair will not have a unique EX Style when raised to 6★ EX, nor a Sync Pair story.

Mix Scouts are a form of long term scout, whose lineup will change roughly every six months, allowing players to accrue Scout Points in many scouts over time. The Mix Scout can only be used up to three times a day, one each for each of the following options, which all require Paid Gems:

• Sync Pair Scout ×1: 100 Paid Gems
• Sync Pair Scout ×3: 300 Paid Gems
• Sync Pair Scout ×5: 500 Paid Gems

In addition to the featured pair, a wide variety of other 5★ pairs can also be found in the Mix Scout, including several pairs previously exclusive to Costume, Seasonal, and Poké Fair Scouts. The full list of pairs, including their offering rates, can be found in-game once the scout goes live.

Monthly Poké Fair Scout Vol. 29
The Fair-Exclusive 5★ Iono & Bellibolt are the featured Sync Pairfor this latest Monthly Poké Fair Scout. This scout will remain available until January 31st, at 9:59pm (PST). Players who manage to scout the pair will be able to invite Iono as a Guest to the Trainer's Lodge. This is Iono & Bellibolt's first ever appearance in the Monthly Poké Fair Scout.

Iono & Bellibolt are also receiving an upgrade today, allowing them to unlock the new Superawakening feature after their move level has been raised to 5. For more details on other Sync Pairs receiving an upgrade today, please see the next section of this article.

As normal for Poké Fair Scouts, 5★ sync pairs have a 10% chance of appearing in this scout. The first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout ×11 for the Monthly Poké Fair Scout Vol. 29, they will receive a bonus present of 3★ Friend Key ×15. These keys allow players to increase the Friendship Level Cap for a single Guest in the Trainer Lodge by 10. This Monthly Poké Fair Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for ×100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

Final Batch of Sync Pairs receive Superawakening upgrade
The final batch of 28 Sync Pairs have now received their Superawakening upgrade. This feature allows players to further strengthen Sync Pairs after raising their move level to 5. To raise a Sync Pair’s Superawakening level, players need tomes and codices of that Sync Pair’s type, as well as a Custom Superawakening Candy. Players can get this Candy by going to the Superawakening screen from the Upgrades menu and exchanging items such as a Superawakening Candy, 5★ Move Candy, 5★ Custom Move Candy of that Sync Pair, or 5★ Move Candy for that Sync Pair’s Role. Superawakening levels can be raised up to 5 times.
