Lucky pack or what?

Well while in the Toys-R-Us pokemon diamond and pearl kiosk, i bought two packs of pokemon tcg:d/p.
Well the first pack was the one with lucario standing in a pile of clovers.
The rare card was lucario.
The second, was the one with electivire on the front.
Well, no electivire, but, i did get holographic chimchar. Okay, that's good i suppose...

I continue, and theres a monferno. Sweet, two stage evolutions.
And then....the rare card. Infernape LvX. Freakin' sweet. Chimchar<Monferno<InfernapeLvX. Lucky pack, or unfair packaging?!
Dun-duh-duh!!!

That's like when somebody I knew got 2 Ultra Rare cards in one pack of Yu-Gi-Oh!

I also decided to get into the Pokemon TCG. I haven't bought a pack since I was 13 (Now 20). I was at Target and saw them for $2.99 a pack with a Pokemon D/P folder (9.99...I think). When I opened the first packed. I was reminded of the feeling of excitement that I've felt, when I was a little trainer. I don't know what made me want to buy it? Maybe cause I can afford it now or the new found glory of Pokemon going around.

My first pack I got a Dialga.....from a dialga pack

Empoleon Lv. X came in the second pack! Palkia pack

It might sound weird or stupid is I dont want to collect or battle with older cards. I kinda like this set alot! Is that bad for battles?

i got 2 packs the other day one had torterra lv.X and palkia reverse and the other had empoleon reverse and piplup reverse (and a prinplup(at a pre-release))

I got a whole pack of Blastoises once. Talk about doubles. If only they were Charzards.

I use to collect cards when I was like 10, but never battled them. I still have all my Rare cards, but that's it.
But one day I just decided to try my luck at a new pack, and that would be the last pokemon card pack I got.
I picked up a pack, almost walked off with it, then decided to get the one under it.
I went with that, and when I opened it I got a Holographic Manaphy and a non-Holographic rare Clefable.
I also got 3 uncommons, a Rhydon, Cherrium, and a Rival Trainer Card
