Playthroughs lumineonite's pokemon y playthrough journal!

Nice! Out of all the Pokémon you used, which ones impressed you the most? Which ones disappointed you the most?
Thats a good question! I think my swanna surprised me the most. I ended up using him a lot more than I thought I would have! He had a lot of hard hits.
The most disappointing member was probably my octillery... he just died so easy in pretty much every fight, poor guy. Abomasnow died pretty easy too, but I was expecting that with its many weaknesses. I still liked using them though, made it more interesting.

Days 45-47, Looker Bureau Chapters New
Here for another update! I finished playing through all these post-game tasks before Legends Z-A released, which is great because so much of it comes up in that game. I didn't have time to write up these entries until now as I have been spending most my free time playing Legends Z-A :bulbaLol:
I do plan to go back and fill in the rest of the pokedex, as well as make a custom cover to put all these pages in, we will see when I get to it! I will be making a thread for my Legends Z-A playthrough & journal soon too :bulbaLove:

Day 45
After becoming the Champion of the Kalos region, I returned home to visit my mom and her rhyhorn. She let me know Professor Sycamore was waiting for me in the Lumiose Station. I headed out and ran into Shauna, who traded me a chespin.
We flew to Lumiose City and went to Sycamore's Lab, where one of the scientists gave me the poke radar.
At Lumiose Station, Sina and Dexio upgraded my pokedex to include the National Pokedex. Then Sycamore gave me the TMV pass, which allows me to travel to Kiloude City on the high speed rail.
Kiloude City has interesting places to explore. The Friend Safari allows you to catch pokemon based on your friend list. The Battle Maison lets you battle to earn battle points for prizes.
Final song of the Kalos War - heard in the Kiloude City pokemon center:
The Kalos region, now upheld as fair,
From ancient days an ugly past doth bear.
The woes of war did knock on every door,
Till man nor Pokemon could take no more,
Three thousand years ago, upon this shore.
So many lives were lost – both man and ‘mon.
It seemed a night that ne’er would bring dawn.
No beauty, no joy in those days of yore.
Only the pain of parting was in store
For victims of the ancient Kalos war.
Full 39.jpg
Man’s grief brought the end, the land did tear,
Wartime finished in a lightning flare.
‘Mon’s rage brought the end, a furious roar,
Lightning crackled forth to end the war –
Kalos’s long pain was then no more.
One man, through it all, lives ever on.
To a Pokemon once lost, he’s ever drawn.
One man, through it all, lives ever on.
Searching for his heart, long lost and gone.
At last his labors brought end to his chore.
Bountiful kindness from his heart did pour,
His Pokemon to part with nevermore.

Day 46
Still in Kiloude City, we spent some time battling at the Battle Maison. Then we went north of town and found Calem. Like always, he challenged me to a pokemon battle. The battle was pretty close thanks to his new team member, a mega-evolving absol. After the battle he told us to head to Anistar City to meet up with Professor Sycamore.
Sycamore was waiting at the Anistar City sundial. He found a way to power up the mega ring. The upgraded mega ring will make mega stones glow when the sundial is emitting light. (8pm-9pm) Apparently, mega stones are evolution stones irradiated by Yveltal’s energy.
We finished the day by traveling back through Terminus Cave, where we found and caught the legendary pokemon Zygarde.

Day 47
I wanted to catch the remaining legendaries in the region - Mewtwo and Zapdos. Mewtwo wasn’t difficult to find - it was waiting in the cave in Pokemon Village. I was worried it would go through my team before I could catch it, but I managed to catch it with the first dusk ball.
Zapdos was much more difficult. It wanders around the Kalos region and has to be encountered about a dozen times before you can catch it. I spent a lot of time running through all the routes - you can see where Zapdos is located in its pokedex entry. If I used fly, it would fly to a different area, so I roller skated around Kalos until I encountered it enough. Then it retreated to the Sea Spirit’s Den in Azure Bay. Luckily, it was an easy catch at that point.

Post - Game Looker Bureau Chapters
Chapter 1 - This Guy is a Real Looker

We went to Lumiose City to restock on items. While there we got an anonymous call that told us to meet at the Looker Bureau near Rouge Plaza.
Once there, we met Looker - a detective determined to keep Lumiose City safe. Because of our work defeating Team Flare, he asked me to work as his assistant stopping crime in the city. The first task he gave me was to track down five Looker Tickets hidden in the city. After finding them with his hints, he agreed to work with me on any cases that come in.

Chapter 2 - In the Back Alleys
Looker asked me to investigate the back alleys, where children seem to be spending more of their time. We traveled through many alleyways before we found the kids, who wouldn't let us through without battling them first. We made our way through and found their leader - a girl named Emma with an espurr named Mimi.
Emma is an orphan that has grown up in the alleys of Lumiose City. Looker offered her a job working as his assistant and said she can stay at the Looker Bureau. Emma was interested, but only if Mimi could be tracked down and convinced too.
We searched some more Lumiose alleyways for Mimi, and after a couple encounters (with no petting!) we convinced them to move into the Looker Bureau.

Chapter 3 - Detective, Tourist, Gang
We got a call about another case. This time, someone was stealing people's pokemon in Lumiose Station. We headed over there with Looker, who has no pokemon to defend himself, while Emma stayed at the Bureau.
Full 42.jpg
In the station we found the gang that stole the tourists' pokemon. After we beat them in a battle, Emma showed up and made them return the pokemon. It seems Emma used to be a part of the Lumiose City gang. The gang members promised to give up their life of crime.
Back at the Bureau, Emma expressed concern over Looker's finances, and she decided to get a part-time job to help.

Chapter 4 - An Unforgivable Crime
Looker asked us to return to the Bureau because someone had vandalized a painting in the Lumiose Museum. We went to the Museum to investigate. There we saw the painting sprayed with paint. Originally, the painting, “The King, the Pokemon, and the Key” depicted a king from 3000 years ago, but the details were not historically correct. We spoke to the museum director, who seemed conflicted about the statement of vandalized art.
On our way out we got a call warning about more poke ball thefts happening. Looker set up a plan to pose as easy victims to the poke ball thefts to stop them.
Full 43.jpg
In an alleyway we found a trainer looking to steal our poke balls. After battling them, they transformed into someone wearing a robotic suit and tried to steal from us - but was stopped by Looker. We went through this several more times with other trainers before we were able to confront the woman in the suit - who said her name is Essentia. Her suit glitched, she injured Looker, and she ran away. Looker said it is likely Emma because Mimi showed affection for her.
Back at the Bureau, Looker said he was getting help from an “unpleasant source,” because he believes Emma was turned into Essentia by “that man.”
Later, Emma asked us to meet her at the Bureau. She was really concerned Looker was in the hospital (his cover story), and worried about getting money to visit him. Then, she ran off.

Chapter 5 - A Fiery Woman & a Truth Revealed
A butler approached me to test my strength with a pokemon battle. After we beat him he told us to meet his boss, a former Team Flare admin, at Hotel Richissme.
In the hotel, we went to the top floor and found Malva, who apparently was a member of Team Flare. She told us that Emma is Essentia, and that her suit is called the Expansion Suit. It was created by Team Flare's Xerosic.
Full 45.jpg
She asked me to stop Xerosic from tarnishing Team Flare's name further, which would also stop Emma. She then told us to meet her at Lysandre Labs.
We headed right for Lysandre Labs, where Malva entered a password in the elevator so we could access another floor. With this, she said her end of the bargain with Looker is fulfilled. I think this is the “unpleasant source” Looker referred to.
We had to navigate some of the labs and battle the scientists there. We made it to the room where the stolen poke balls were stored and were let in by a gang member that Emma set straight. Here I found the documents detailing the experiments Xerosic had been putting Emma through. The Expansion Suit made Emma commit these crimes without memory of it afterwards.
Eventually Xerosic showed up with Emma, or Essentia, since she was in the Expansion Suit. We had to battle her over and over, and she seemed to never tire or run out of pokemon. After her third defeat, Looker showed up with Mimi and caused Essentia to short circuit. Xerosic turned off her suit and she woke up with no memory of what happened.
Full 46.jpg
Looker asked Emma to leave and told Xerosic he was going to arrest him. First he asked Xerosic to join them for dinner because Emma had grown to like him, oblivious to his crimes.

Final Chapter: Here’s Lookin’ At You Kid
Back at the Looker Bureau, Emma found a note from Looker that said he was leaving town. She asked me to help look for him. We went to the museum, where someone said Looker was seen going to the Lysandre Cafe. When we got there, we found Looker and Xerosic.
Xerosic was going willingly with Looker, but first gave Emma the suit to use as she wishes. He also gave her the pokemon he had loaned to her. Looker revealed he has to leave because he is a part of the international police. He gave Emma full control of the Looker Bureau and told her to continue to keep Lumiose City safe.
