Daybreak City, the first city ever that marked humanity's place in Lunea, the prestigious capital and the hub for all activity through the new region. Usually a bustling metropolis, the famous city lay quiet today, an air of eerie uncertainty, just one of the symptoms of the terrified populace. It's coming to the end of another day, the usual darkness of Lunea fading into an absolute blackness, something the heavy fog laying over the city only making it harder to see.

The city centre, usually packed shoulder-to-shoulder with chatty shoppers, friends out for the day together. But then the official advice is to stay indoors, keep safe until the situation became clear, leaving the centre almost totally abandoned. A few still remained outdoors though, out of defiance or being simply misguided, but there seems to be a congregation building, of Trainers and just ordinary people alike, meeting under the floodlights of the city to work out something, an organised chance to survive perhaps, but conversation consists only of scared murmurs and uncertain rumors.

On the outside of this congregation stands a girl, her name is Zoe. She doesn't look like anything important and right now she wasn't. But she stares out into the distance, almost as if she is expecting something and when she speaks, she says it with confidence, as if she knows something. "Something isn't right..." Zoe glares deeper into the horizon - and she can see something, a shadow against the rapidly-setting moon, which seems to be getting bigger the harder she squints at it, before it dives out of view, into the thick fog and the darkness.

It wasn't a coincidence that seconds later, a warehouse on the east side of town exploded. Everyone across the city heard it... whether as a soft poof in the distance or as an earth-shaking explosion exactly as it is, but the panic spread through the city almost instantly. A stampede quickly forms to exit the city, swarming down the main Routes away.

It is all to no avail. A strafing run by what seems to be a feral Charizard cuts down most of the fleeing humans. More pokémon can be sighted in the distance without Trainers.

Daybreak City, your time has come. You are next in line, and you will fall.

Agent K felt the earth shaking beneath his feet as he roamed the foggy streets, flash light in hand. His initial reaction was panic but it quickly passed when he dove into a side ally, his Umbreon at his heels. He pulled out his communication device at once and spoke in to it. "This is Agent K calling Rocket Head Quarters. Agent K calling Rocket Headquarters. There is a situation in the Lunea region. Requesting immediate support."

He waited. No response. Only static.

"This is Agent K calling Rocket Head Quarters!" He repeated more urgently. "There is a situation in the Lunea region! Requesting immediate support!" He had to shout over the noise the commotion. He waited. There was still no response. Still only static. "Damn it."

Agent K could hear his Umbreon growling. He turned in time to see a pair of glowing red eyes peering at him from across the ally way. Before he knew it, he was diving to one side to avoid a stream of fire that dispersed the fog. Umbreon had taken the attack head on, but he was sturdy and well trained to withstand such attacks.

It was a Houndoom.

"Umbreon! Payback!"

Kyle Harper ran threw the streets in panic. His pokemon companion eevee right beside him. Something flew right past Kyle's head, making him flinch from the sudden sound of the wind that followed. He quickly turned the corner and ran down a different street, looking behind him. Two houndoom turned the corner chasing him. They were rather the same speed has him which was quiet odd for four-legged pokemon.

"Autumn, quick use sand-attack." Kyle commanded.

His partner obeyed instantly, and spun around using sand-attack. The houndoom stopped and their eyes were sprayed by sand, making them yelp in pain from the sudden exposure of sand.

"Good job Autumn. Now hurry let's get out of here." Kyle said in a panicked tone.

What an odd place this was, thought Duncan. It appears to be dark, all day every day around here. "Why would anyone want to live in a region like this?" He said out loud to no one as he strolled further into the enormous book building. Having grown up in a haunted town such as Lavender, Duncan was not especially bothered by the constant absence of light but this was taking things too far. At least the interiors had some lighting, even if it was not much.

The place seemed oddly empty but there were still a few people around. Duncan reaches the check out desk only to find that no one is behind the counter. "Great" The ground shakes a bit as if there had been some kind of explosion in the distance. "What are these Luneans doing, having some kind of fireworks party?!!"

Agent K's Umbreon charged at the Houndoom. Having already endured an attack from the enraged Pokemon, Umbreon's Payback attack was much stronger than it would have been otherwise. It struck the Houndoom, knocking it back several feet. But it wasn't long before it was back on its feet again, baring its pointed teeth and advancing. Umbreon's Payback hadn't been very effective.

"Get back." Agent K said to Umbreon. He obeyed, moving his master's heel as he reached for another Poke Ball. "Go, Tyranitar!"

Agent K's Tyranitar was unleashed from the confines of his Poke Ball. Towering over the wild Houndoom, he barely had enough space to move around in the alley. He lifted its head and let out an ear-splitting roar.

"Hyper Beam." Agent K ordered.

The Houndoom was unprepared for what happened next. Tyranitar opened his mouth and fired a bright beam of pure energy. The Hyper Beam obliterated everything in its path, knocking aside dumpsters and severely damaging the buildings on either side. As the dust and debris settled, the Houndoom fell from its feet. It was unable to continue fighting after such an attack.

"Out of the way." Agent K said, pushing past his Tyranitar. He walked up to the fainted Houndoom, retrieved an empty Poke Ball and simply dropped it on its head. The Poke Ball absorbed the Houndoom and went still. He heard Umbreon's low growl from the entrance of the alley as he picked up the Poke Ball containing Houndoom.

He looked to find that they were trapped. Enraged Pokemon had them cornered in the alley. It seemed that it had been the commotion that Tyranitar had caused had been what had attracted their attention. Through the fog, Agent K couldn't tell exactly what they were. To him it looked like one mass of many different Pokemon. Too many for them to fight.

He spun around. There was a man hole further up the alley way. "Umbreon! This way! Hold them off, Tyranitar!"

Duncan was still waiting at the checkout counter when a world famous Pokemon trapper jumps up onto a desk and begins shouting: "Attention everyone! There are wild pokemon outside going, wild! If we are going to live through this we need to be extra careful. Any pokemon that come in that front door that you dont recognize, blast it!" The trapper starts handing out Snare balls, which he explains there only purpose is to incapacitate dangerous pokemon rather than capture them like normal balls.

The library lights are flickering on and off and they had managed to form a thin defensive line around the entrance but something still did not seem quite right. Duncan overhears the world famous trapper mumbling to himself, "I hope it is just wild pokemon we are dealing with, if we are lucky..."

What did he mean by that? What could be worse than pokemon that are willing to kill humans?

"This is so odd" Kana said walking down some undescriptive street her Glaceon at her side. "I mean I don't think I've ever seen a place like this. She sighed and as she did she heard Pokemon cries. "Mm... not going that way. Let's see... I bet we can find a Pokemon center or something around her Kiba." Kana had called her Glaceon Kiba ever since she was an Eevee it just sort of stuck.

Kana turned right in search of the Pokemon center but she just ran into a crazed Electrike. It snarled at her and used spark. Kiba blocked it with swift. "Oh I mean if you want to fight then... Kiba use Blizzard." It hit, Kana smirked. She wounded if she should try to capture it or something. She hadn't done that in a long time.

Aero leaned against a pole near the centre. He ignored the warning calls.

Probably some emergency drill...

He took a piece of bread out of his pocket and tore some off, then handing the rest to his Liepard, Night. He stuck the rest of it in his mouth. Night glared over at the warehouse, which was fully visible from where he was standing. Night jumped onto Aero forcing them both to the ground.

"What's gotten into you?!?"

Fire exploded into sky and the ground shook and broke apart beneath them. He scrambled quickly over to the sidewalk and watched as Charizards destroyed buildings and killed fleeing civilians. Night tugged at Aeros shirt sleeve and pulled him away from the chaos. Aeros eyes scanned the area and he noticed the man who was desperately trying to hold off the Tyranitar. He decided to go help.

"Night, use Night Slash!"

Kana heard scream's and cries as she tried to focus on her battle. She was beginning to be suspicious. "Well maybe I don't have time for this." But the Electrike had other plans. It used Discharge Kana hadn't expected. It hit her Glaceon, Kana clenched her fist. "Use swift" it hit Kana continued "now use dig." The Electrike was still recovering which mad it easier to hit from the ground. It let out a shrill howl, not even trying to dodge and then Kiba came up from the ground knocking it out. "That was easy" Kana said talking to her Pokemon. She didn't think she'd bother catching it. Kiba might get jealous. "Well let's go... don't want to stay here to long." She started walking slowly.

Just as Kana said that five Manectric appeared and surrounded her. They were growling... so was Kiba. "Calm down Kiba we can't just fight all of them." And her other Pokemom she called him Steel. He was a Skarmory she couldn't put him up against a bunch of electric Pokemon.

For now let's get out of here...

"Kiba... Blizzard" Kiba complied thinking there were going to fight. Really it was just a distraction and it was working. She called out Steel and told him to fly. They couldn't get to high though because it was dark and hard to see. Hopefully this time we'll end up at a Pokemon center...

It smelled dreadful down there, but it was safe in the sewers. That was Agent K's hope at least. Tyranitar had pulled down the buildings either side of the alley way, burrying the manhole cover before returning to his Poke Ball. Nothing would be able to follow them down here. Of course, that now meant that they would need to find another way out of these sewers.

With Umbreon at his side, whose rings naturally glowed in the dark, Agent K had all the light he needed to see down in these sewers. But with little knowledge of the city, much less its sewer system, finding his way out of here was not going to be easy.

"This is Agent K, calling Rocket Headquarters." He said, speaking into his communication device. "Can anyone hear me?" Still, no response. Still, nothing but static. He sighed. "We're on our own, Umbreon. Lets find a way out of here. We're going to have to try and find a way off this island."

Agent K and his Umbreon wandered deep into the darkened sewer systems, not knowing where the submerged tunnels would lead them.

Capital city library

There was a pretty decent variety of people assembled here and they were doing a fairly good job at handling the deadly pokemon that wandered in every now and then. (Duncan had not even needed to use his pokemon yet) The total number was somewhere around 10 or 15 people, plus their pokemon, the most interesting among them was an off duty pokemon cop with the officer standard Growlithe pokemon and a blonde vampire slayer enthusiast. (which was not as good as the real thing but still better than some random noob) Lunea sure seemed to attract the weirdos but Duncan could not complain since more defenders meant a greater chance of getting out of here alive.

For a time it seemed like the group had everything under control but then something started trying to break the front doors down. Bash, bash, bash, everyones attention focuses on the doors and suddenly they open! Several hair covered Weepinbells try to rush in, their sharp teeth shining in the low light! The famous trapper shouts, "Dammit, Were-Weepinbells, we might be in trouble!" But that was only just the beginning because charging in right behind the werewolf pokemon was something even worse. "Oh Arceus no, Vampire Butterfrees!!!"

There weren't just Weepinbells. The city's library began to fill with all kinds of grass-types, far more than the smattering of Trainers inside could even hope to handle. One of the less-panicked Trainers managed to vether his mind enough to yell out a command - "It's no use fighting, just run!"

Unfortunately for him, he was far too close. As he turned to escape, his foot was caught by an Ivysaur's Grass Knot and he tripped, landing face first onto the ground. As he desperately scrambled to find his feet, more vines joined the first one, and slowly coated his body, until he was completely mummified by them.

The Sewer

(Assuming Aero followed Agent K down)

Lunea's sewer was certainly quiet compared to the rest of the city. It turned the screaming and destruction of the city above into a hollowed, muffled indistinct noise. Fortunately, Agent K seemed to have followed something of a route. There seemed to at least be a light at the end of this tunnel. From the general waste in the sewers, a single Muk stared up at K and Aero, but it barely, if at all seemed interested in him, as it grumpily tried to slope off back to sleep.

Daybreak City Airspace

Steel had his work cut out, by entering the sky he had made himself, and by extension Kana, a huge target. The Skarmory shown a great burst of speed so far, managing to dodge a few electric attacks aimed his way but there were more problems to come. The same Charizard who had opened the attack and an Emolga had both seemed to like the look of Steel, and both converged behind him, ready to make a meal of the trainer and pokémon duo. The fog and night sky made it difficult to see, but they seemed to approache the city's edge and rather improbably Kana may even have been able to spot out a solitary human form that had escaped the chaos and escaped the city...

*Rin rode Amelia out of the metropolis the was the city of Daybreak. Shadow sat lightly just behind Rin while they rode into the woodlands that surrounded the city. But as it grew darker and darker, she had Amelia halt. The rapidash slowed to it's trainer's command and slowly tilted her head to look at Rin, as if to say something. Rin merely looked at Amelia, then turned to look at Shadow, the gengar just behind her in the saddle*

"Yes.. I see it too.. Shadow, scout ahead if you will. Amelia, make your flames spread out just a little bit to make some more light please."

*Shadow floated up and faded in with the surrounding darkness. Amelia focused it's flames to give a little bit more light to the wooded area. But no sooner than it did, Shadow came back quickly shouting. Rin's dark green eyes widened as a pair of angry yellow eyes seemed to be chasing the Gengar. Rin shouted for Shadow to hurry and come. Once Shadow was in the saddle, Amelia took the cue from it's trainer and sped off quickly. As the large yellow eyes seemed to give chase, Rin looked back just in time to see one of the flames flickering from Amelia, show what was chasing them. A crazed Seviper. Realizing it was a pokemon, Rin tried to talk to it through Amelia's galloping. But soon stopped trying to speak to it, for it did not seem to get through. Shadow mumbled to it's trainer and Rin nodded as if in agreement*

"I am noticing that too.. I don't understand why it won't listen to reason though.. Amelia! Use Agility, and head around the city! There should be a stream we can follow!"

*Amelia neighed as if agreeing with her, and used Agility. It's hooves now pounding the ground harshly as the flames surrounding all three of them got brighter. It's speed picking up sharply as it raced around the borders of the metropolis city. Their only means of light now, were that of what was being given off by the Rapidash*

The trainers cringed at the fate of the poor soul that had attempted to flee, clearly running was not going to be an option. The pokemon police officer shouts, "Our only hope is to secure this building and force these creatures into a bottleneck at the door!" The person that liked to read about vampires chimed in, "If youve got bug, poison, flying, ice or fire type pokemon now is the time to use them!" The remaining trainers sent out what they had and began the battle for the library.

Duncan gripped one of his own pokeballs in quiet thought. "I had wanted to avoid exposing you guys to danger if I could help it but we are going to need everything if there is going to be any chance of not becoming food." Everyone else had already engaged the invading grass pokemon with Duncan a few seconds behind. Duncan was prepared, it was all or nothing. These crazed pokemon had to be repelled no matter what.

"Burning Finger, I choose you!!!" In a dazzling flash of light, Cyndaquil emerges from his ball! The trainers pokemon are outnumbered by about 2 to 1 but have the advantage of type on their side. Following the advice of the vampire fan, everyone with fire pokemon direct their blazing attacks at the vampire Butterfrees, which then burst into falling fireballs that land on the other bloodthirsty and werewolf pokemon! The resulting scene is a giant wall of fire at the entrance with the defending trainers still sending attacks into it. This situation had become far too dangerous for them to take any chances..

As Rin's slender body stayed plastered to Amelia's, the experienced rider kept trying to come up with solutions to the situation. Maybe a virus had broken out? Or perhaps they might have been controlled? Rin kept her body almost perfectly parallel to her Rapidash as it galloped faster. Rin's Gengar, Shadow, had no problem keeping to it's trainer's parallel form too as this wasn't the first time the trio had to make an emergency run like this. There had been plenty of times like this....memories from Mahogany Town. But the memories aside, Rin cleared her mind and shook the memories away fiercely. Focusing on the task now. To stay alive as long as possible. Deciding her next task would be to try and find out what was happening. As Rin silently thought for a moment longer, Shadow mumbled again as it clutched to it's trainer. Rin looks back at her precious Gengar and nodded as if agreeing with it. Her Rapidash and Gengar were all she was ever comfortable with. And the thought of losing either of them....well she couldn't imagine it. Because if she'd ever lose them....she would feel lost. Keeping them both safe was priority. As Rin looked back in front, the scents and sounds of a creek crept in. Leaning her body slightly to the left, a signal that Amelia should turn to follow along the stream. This kind of hard galloping was no problem, the Rapidash's powerful forelegs and hind legs carrying the trio with excellent endurance. Another memory passing into Rin's mind were the ones when she rode Amelia back when it was still a ponyta, loving to test it's speed and endurance, and improving them whenever able. Gastly at the time loved riding behind Rin too. Tears slowly filled Rin's dark green eyes at the fond memory, then she shoved it aside and felt more resolute in keeping her precious two safe. As if they knew their trainer's thoughts, Shadow seemed to hug it's trainer a little more, and Amelia seemed to make it's strides longer to speed up*

"We have to find a safe spot to figure out what is going on around here.."

*Rin spoke to her partners, and they seemed to agree with her. Each making it's own noise of acknowledgement. As the trio rode, Amelia made a sharp left turn just as a snake-like form hurled itself at them. Was it the same Seviper? Rin didn't know, but a sudden idea struck into her mind. And as if reading her mind, Shadow leaped off the saddle, and without thinking, Rin called out a command*

"Shadow! Use Psychic now!"

*Shadow used it's move upon it's trainer's command. The crazed Seviper was thrown harshly into an old oak tree. Shadow then held the Seviper still as Rin jumped off the saddle and quickly pulled an escape rope out of the hide pouch on her hip. Dashing over to the crazed pokemon and tying it up as tightly as she could. Then without looking away she spoke again*

"Use your Hypnosis on Seviper.."

*As Shadow did as it was commanded of, Rin placed a hand over the Seviper's eyes. Then concentrating as she tried to listen to what it's heart was saying. After several moments of hard listening, Rin sighed. She couldn't hear what this one was saying. It's heart was closed tightly. What was this? She tried to think of possibilities. But her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Shadow's claws gripping her and pulling her away and fast. For no sooner then Shadow did this, what seemed like an army of Seviper lunged out. Only thinking of her two pokemon, Rin scrambled to get Shadow and Amelia away as soon as possible. But Shadow and Amelia were ahead of her. Because the Gengar forcefully pulled Rin onto Amelia's saddle, and the trio was again racing away. Further up the little stream, and further away from Daybreak City. The Rapidash using it's ability Run Away to increase it's speed to haul them away from the crazed and murderous looking Seviper army. But that is not to say, Rin did not learn something just now. Whatever was going on, seemed to be affecting only the pokemon. Rin didn't feel any different then normal, so what it may be that was happening, might not have any effect on humans*

"Curious..."

*Shadow mumbled again as if asking 'what's so curious about crazy pokemon trying to eat us?'*

"I wonder if it's an airborne virus that only targets pokemon....?"

*Amelia neighed softly despite galloping still. Rin nodded, then turned around to look at Shadow*

"Let's be extra careful, we need to find out what is happening.."

*Rin's Gengar sighed then nodded. Shadow didn't like the idea of it. But if it would make the wild pokemon stop attacking them needlessly, then it would be wise to seek out the truth of it all, instead of exhausting themselves running all the time*

All I wanted was a Pokemon center. Kana thought moving to evade an incoming electric attack. It came close to her and sparked by her clothes
Arceus... I have to do something...
She felt fire attack's and figured they were screwed Steel can't take fire attacks from the air like that By why did the Pokemon even want to attack them? Kana had read that wild Pokemon got jealous but this was beyond jealous... this was just cruel. Kana sighed trying to think of some way to defeat of at least get the Pokemon to back off. "Kiba come out" she opened Kiba's Poke ball and waited a few second's for her to get her balance. Kana ended up holding her. "I want you to... use blizzard." Kiba did and Kana hoped that the Pokemon would fall back a little... they didn't really. What's wrong with me? I'm from Voilet City... Fighting flying Pokemon and with flying Pokemon should be easy But there were almost no attack's Kiba could do in the air so it seemed pointless...

Kana called Kiba back "Ok Steel we're just going fight them head on." She told him to use drill peck which caused a flamethrower to be fired but lucky Steel dodged it... for the most part. "Now use Sky Attack" Kana regretted that. She forgot it took a while to charge up for a Sky Attack. So this time the Charizard's flamethrower hit. "Ow" Kana said her clothes starting to get burned. Steel was almost ready to attack.

The battle seemed to go on for hours but finally all was quiet for the moment. There were lots of cuts, scratches and bruises but amazingly, Duncan and the others had managed to survive without any life threatening injuries. The library building on the other hand, had taken significant damage. Books are scattered all over, large wooden shelves lay toppled on the floor, the lights are all out, (either due to fighting or being switched off) and the front doors are totally mangled.

On the bright side, with all of the lights out and everyone keeping quiet, the deranged pokemon had stopped swarming their location for the time being.

*The pebbles close to the water were struck and scattered everywhere as the Rapidash raced off with it's trainer and friend rode on it's back. Rin's mind raced with ideas, but really could find no solution until she found out the cause of it all. The Gengar, Shadow, carefully turned around in the saddle, and as if reading it's mind, Rin called out a firm command as Shadow unleashed a powerful Confuse Ray at the crazed Seviper that were chasing the trio*

"Use Confuse Ray on them!"

*And it worked. For the most part. Some of them seemed to attack anything that moved, while the others seemed to ignore their confused companions and kept up the chase. Rin leaned slight to the right this time, as it signaled Amelia to turn hard up ahead where the trio then narrowly missed a huge boulder. This move was on purpose. Because just as one of the Seviper lunged at them, it hit face-first into the boulder seconds after the Rapidash's sharp turn. Shadow, despite facing the other way, had used one claw to grip the saddle, and the other to grip it's trainer, for balance. As her Gengar started shouting, her Rapidash started to snort a little as if in irritation. Rin sighed and shouted*

"This isn't the time to argue!"

*As Rin put her foot down so to speak, the two went quiet and concentrated on keeping them all alive. Amelia jumped over several trees that had been knocked over, jumping over the stream that they followed as well. And each time they did so to avoid conflict with the wild pokemon chasing after them*

"I wonder...if this chaos only affects certain pokemon..?"

*Rin thought out-loud. Amelia and Shadow seemed to make a few noises of their own, as if wondering the same as well. Shadow turning just enough to speak to it's trainer quickly. Rin nodded then spoke again*

"It's possible.. Good thinking Shadow!"

*The Gengar grumbled a little bit at the thought of what they were about to do. While the Rapidash wondered if this would prove anything at all. As Rin's body moved slightly again, Amelia turned at her command and jumped onto a high-rising cliff, racing hard up the steep cliff until they reached the top. There was a platue at the very top of the cliff. There, the trio quickly got some rest, catching their breaths. Rin, knowing better, resisted getting some firewood for a campfire. Instead silently instructing her precious pokemon to be still and silent. Shadow closing it's eyes and rested staying perfectly still, and Amelia did the same. Rin calmed her breathing as the trio synced up their breathing patterns to avoid alerting any of the nearby wildlife there was more then one. The dark skies above held no light of any stars or moon. Rin thought it to be odd. The only source of light was from Amelia, even as faint as it's flames were now. But Shadow was in front of Rin, blocking her from Amelia's faint fiery light just in case the crazies saw her and came for blood. Rin decided this would be a test. To see if the crazed pokemon would attack other pokemon, or only when there was a trainer with them. The trio rested, but was fully alert at the same time. This would be an important test indeed*

Daybreak City Airspace

The Charizard attacked and Kana pulled at Steel to get him to go up. She saw that he was glowing and she it dawned on her sky attack was an attack in which you rammed into the other Pokemon which was fine but right now while she was riding Steel not so much. "Oh well... if I going to get injured it may as well be by my own Pokemon" Kana muttered to herself.

"Ok now Steel" An electric attack was fired from Emolga but Steel had already attacked the Charizard. They would have to take care of Emolga later. But just as the Charizard was going down it used iron tail which Steel couldn't dodge. They spiraled and landed on the ground, hard. " Oh Steel are you ok" Kana asked hearing him shriek. The Charizard hit him right in the face. He fainted, Kana was glad she had revives. She put Steel back in his Pokeball and started walking and looking over she could see a huge red Pokemon body... She walked faster. But then her stomach growled she sighed knowing right now there was no time to eat.

I'm sure Kiba and Steel are hungry too. Kana's stomach growled again even though all she had was canned food. She had Pokemon food too... no water. But she could just have Kiba make some or something. First I have to find shelter

Kana heard Pokemon cries almost normal in pitch and then really eerie. She wondered if she yelled someone... a person would come out of if she would just end up fighting off more Pokemon. "I'm not going back up there into the sky ether..." Kana thought she heard talking and fire attack's but she could have just been imagining it. "Well we better go see" she said letting Kiba out and running towards the fighting.

*A Zangoose snarled in the distance, disturbing Rin and her pokemon's resting spot. Shadow hurled the crazed pokemon far into the water, as it's trainer hopped onto Amelia's saddle. Rin shouted for her Gengar as Shadow turned on it's heel and hopped onto the saddle as well*

"Amelia use Agility! And quick!"

*The Rapdiash neighed and reared up as the shrubs behind them rustled and Starlys came flying at them. Rin swore under her breath and ordered Amelia to move*

"GO!"

*Rin shouted, then Amelia used it's Agility and hightailed it. Rushing back towards the city, but this time using none of the usual paths. Maybe there would be a stable location within the city walls for some better resting spots? But as the trio came up close to the city entrance several Zangoose appeared and blocked their path. Rin leaned down slightly as it gave Amelia the cue. For no sooner then it's trainer leaned, she jumped off the saddle as did Shadow. And Amelia turned around fast, then using it's hind hooves to hit one of the bloodthirsty pokemon in the head. Shadow then used Confuse Ray on them as Amelia turned back around and charged them. It's flames becoming bigger, making itself appear bigger then it really was. Rin called out a command to her Rapidash as it charged the Zangoose ranks*

"Amelia! Use Flare Blitz now!

*Amelia kept charging the evil pokemon as a burst of intense flames seeped from it's hooves until it surrounded it's entire body. The way Rin had it hone the move was simple. As the Rapidash concentrated on the flames moving into a rotation, it would build up a fast moving momentum while charging the enemy. Closer and closer Amelia got to them. Closer. Just a little more. The Flair Blitz was moving at a rapid enough speed as Amelia came to a bone crunching halt, releasing the fiery attack at close range to the wild pokemon. And while the attack hit hard against them, Shadow stepped in using Psychic while Amelia recovered a little to give a better after shock when the Flair Blitz was finished. Just as Rin thought they may be able to get going again, something hit her in the left side. The pain following the impact felt like blades. Shadow dived at Rin and snatched her up, taking her to Amelia as the Rapidash waited until both were in the saddle before using it's ability Run Away to make a fast escape. Rin's side was now bleeding, she didn't have a chance to look behind and see what had hit her. Shadow seemed angry with it's trainer, but it really wasn't, the Gengar was just worried as was the Rapidash, Amelia*

"....Need to get...to somewhere safe..."

*Was all Rin could manage before she felt lightheaded and dizzy. Amelia pulled into the city and quickly turned into the nearest empty building. Shadow, being a ghost type, went through the walls, and carefully guided the others inside. The small building seemed safe enough. For the moment anyways. Carefully pulling barriers and blockades around them, Shadow looked at Amelia as they both nodded at each other as if in a silent agreement. Rin's vision faded in and out as she struggled to get to her feet after falling off the saddle. Amelia nudged it's trainer worriedly as Rin shook her head and quietly spoke. She took out an escape rope while doing so*

"Sear it shut... Just do it..."

*Wadding the escape rope into mouth as full and tightly as she could. Amelia reluctantly did as it was told. Rin lifted up her jacket, then shirt. A deep wound was there. The Rapidash used it's flames to briefly sear at the wound until it closed. Rin's agonized yelling was muffled into the escape rope that she'd stuffed into her mouth. After the searing was finished, Rin dropped to her knees and was shaking badly. This wasn't the first time she had a wound seared. Taking the escape rope out slowly, she panted shakily and was covered in sweat from the sheer pain. Amelia nudged it's trainer as if to apologize for the pain, but Rin shook her head slowly as if to say, don't worry. Shadow had it's trainer lay down, while Amelia stayed close to her. Then Shadow moved away, disappearing through several of the small buildings walls, cautiously looking every which way for those crazy pokemon. As it got towards the outside, Shadow noticed a vague shape of a human. Shadow stayed within the wall of the outside of the building just enough so it might not be seen, and watched the vague shape. If this was a human, Shadow would see if he or she were being followed first. Shadow's only priority however was the safety of it's trainer first. So Shadow watched the vague shape for awhile longer, but also keeping alert to see if other wild pokemon were around. If so, Shadow would disappear behind the walls again and vanish out of sight. But for the moment...it did not see anything...except the vague shape*
