Daybreak City, the first city ever that marked humanity's place in Lunea, the prestigious capital and the hub for all activity through the new region. Usually a bustling metropolis, the famous city lay quiet today, an air of eerie uncertainty, just one of the symptoms of the terrified populace. It's coming to the end of another day, the usual darkness of Lunea fading into an absolute blackness, something the heavy fog laying over the city only making it harder to see.
The city centre, usually packed shoulder-to-shoulder with chatty shoppers, friends out for the day together. But then the official advice is to stay indoors, keep safe until the situation became clear, leaving the centre almost totally abandoned. A few still remained outdoors though, out of defiance or being simply misguided, but there seems to be a congregation building, of Trainers and just ordinary people alike, meeting under the floodlights of the city to work out something, an organised chance to survive perhaps, but conversation consists only of scared murmurs and uncertain rumors.
On the outside of this congregation stands a girl, her name is Zoe. She doesn't look like anything important and right now she wasn't. But she stares out into the distance, almost as if she is expecting something and when she speaks, she says it with confidence, as if she knows something. "Something isn't right..." Zoe glares deeper into the horizon - and she can see something, a shadow against the rapidly-setting moon, which seems to be getting bigger the harder she squints at it, before it dives out of view, into the thick fog and the darkness.
It wasn't a coincidence that seconds later, a warehouse on the east side of town exploded. Everyone across the city heard it... whether as a soft poof in the distance or as an earth-shaking explosion exactly as it is, but the panic spread through the city almost instantly. A stampede quickly forms to exit the city, swarming down the main Routes away.
It is all to no avail. A strafing run by what seems to be a feral Charizard cuts down most of the fleeing humans. More pokémon can be sighted in the distance without Trainers.
Daybreak City, your time has come. You are next in line, and you will fall.
