A Pokémon came falling from the sky!

As Satoshi continued his journey aiming to become a Pokémon Master, a lump covered in white smoke suddenly dropped out of the sky and landed in front of him and his friends.
As white smoke spread around as far as the eye could see, a shape appeared from within it;
The mythical Pokémon Volcanion.

Ignoring the worried Satoshi and his friends, Volcanion, who hates humans, immediately tries to leave the place.
However, the impact of the fall caused Satoshi and Volcanion to be linked together by a strange device, leaving them unable to separate...!

Volcanion runs off and Satoshi gets dragged along by it, eventually reaching the Azoth Kingdom, a city of super-machinery where gigantic cogwheels are all over the place and rotating.
Why did Volcanion fall from the sky?
And why did it head to the Azoth Kingdom!?
With the mechanical kingdom of machinery as its setting, the hottest legend in Pokémon history begins!

We figured as much anyway! :p

(though I wonder if this means no Main Series game this year...)

Sweet. I hope Volcanion is here too, been waiting for his appearance

Please.

Nobody say that next year's movie is going to be about Zygarde.

These early teasers are always misleading.

We don't know jack squat about it.

We don't even really know if Zygarde will even be in it.

Let this be the year that we break this stupid, stupid cycle of overreacting to nothing.

That would be false advertising which is illegal in probably every country on the planet. The Pokemon Company is lucky they didn't get sued over the misleading teaser featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia. They'd be wise not to do that again.

I don't think they run the risk of being sued over a 10 second teaser. Those teasers are a very small form of "false advertising" if u can even call them that. It would most definitely b false advertising if they advertised the movie continuously as a Ho-oh and Lugia movie all the way up until the release only to have it b the Zoroark movie, but I can't imagine anyone was so angry over that one 10 second teaser that the first thing they did was sue over it.Those small teasers r just to get people excited about the next movie. It doesn't really matter if they're true to the actual content or not....lol

Teasers like this wouldn't fall under any "false advertising" law anyway since they're released so far ahead of the movie's release.

I'm sure Zygarde will be in this film regardless since it needs its debut, as does Volcanion.

Exactly. And instead of calling this overreacting, let's call it common sense since there are only two legendary Kalos Pokemon left to debut anyway and a Pokémon hasn't starred alone in a movie since Manaphy (as far as I can remember).

It's time for Musashi to catch another snake!

There's no need to be so overprotective. Yes, the footage showed in the trailers won't be present in the movie, but they have shown a Pokemon that appears in the movie 3 times in a row, or 5 if we count the M15 teaser.

Zygarde and Volcanion may seem dissimilar, but they share a mountain theme the writers could work. Certainly they will use some ideas from the next main series game.

It's not "overprotective" to not want to watch the same old song and dance take place, year after year after year after year after year.

I don't know why people's memories are so shit when it comes to these teasers and what they mean for the final film but for whatever reason they are.

Hopefully this will factor some way into another main series release for Gen 6.

I can think of three scenarios for this film:

Scenario 1 - Both Zygarde and Volcanion will appear in the film. Zygarde will have new forme(s) to promote the "Z" game(s) coming out in 2016. Volcanion may or may not have a new forme, but it will be the starring Pokemon over Zygarde. No other starring Pokémon will appear.

Scenario 2 - Same as Scenario 1, except a Gen 7 Pokémon will also appear in the film (to promote or introduce the Gen 7 games, which may or may not come out in 2016). The Gen 7 Pokemon will most likely co-star with Volcanion. Unlikely, but Movies 5, 8, 9, and 13 have done this in the past, and all but 5 featured legendary Pokémon from the previous generation and/or remake.

Scenario 3 - Volcanion (or Zygarde) does not appear in the film, but could star in concurrent anime episodes or the movie short instead. Meloetta has set the precedent on this. A Gen 7 Pokémon may or may not appear in the film or short.

Ordinarily I wouldn't present the "Gen 7 Pokémon" scenarios, but this movie is coming out in 2016 - three years after XY came out. And Game Freak has started a new Pokémon generation either 3 or 4 years after the previous one.

Movie 19 (First teaser pictures)

I'm not sure if this should be posted in the other Movie 19 thread, but the Pokemon in these pictures don't look like Zygarde to me, unless it's some new form, so I thought I should create this new thread. If this isn't okay, maybe put this post in the other thread.

Definitely Zygarde's new forme, way to big to be a 7th generation Pokemon, plus Zygarde has two signature moves it can't learn.

But HOLY CRAP, Zygarde's new form looks EPIC.

Edit: Assuming it is relating to Pokemon. I really need confirmation on this though.

2nd Edit: Appears to be Pokemon relating, as I just saw the Pokemon XY the movie stamps on the pictures, but need confirmation its real.

HOLY CRAP what is that thing? At first I thought Zygarde was just placed oddly in front of some structure, but then what about those gigantic, monstrous hands? So those must definitely be wings then....

Pokemon Z/XZYZ confirmed?

Re: Movie 19 (First teaser pictures)

Three things stand out with this Pokémon:

1) Its association with the color green,
2) The "scales" on its (hands/wings/arms)? flickering on and off, and
3) Its association with the sky, which indicates it's an airborne Pokémon. Not necessarily Flying-type, but at least we know it can fly.

The most likely current Pokemon to fit all three options is Zygarde. Zygarde's main color is green, it has glowing scales, and it has a signature move that can affect Flying-type and Levitating Pokemon. My wild guess is that this will be a new Zygarde form associated with the Thousand Arrows move, but it's still too early to tell.
