I did it. Someone had to do it, so I did. Serebii released info (kind of) about how to unlock the Magmortar and Electivire in the US versions of PBR.

Should we start devising ways to figure it out before it's released or does anyone really care at this point?

Serebii has revealed the method but not the code

I never knew that self-introduction had something to do with Electivire/Magmortar. It has to be the self-introduction. It arouses the least suspicion.

I don't even HAVE the game, but I'mm still interested in this. Maybe I'll get it just for those two pokemon (I already have both though...) and a surfing pikachu!

There's actually TWO passwords. One for Electivire, and one for Magmortar.

So it seems that one password cannot unlock both gifts.

I kinda expected it. The self-introduction is the least suspicious place to unlock it and serves no other useful purpose.

I'm wondering if Joe will cover the shiny outfits too.

Wait, do you have trainer ID's on PBR? If so, they might generate passwords based on those or your wii FC, in which case, this will be a hell of a lot harder to figure out...

I have to ask the obvious thing, and ask if anyone has tried entering Heated or Shocking as the code. If not, then maybe it is something like "I Like A (Heated/Shocking) Battle!"

Anyone want to enlarge the Serebii pics and see if Chris accidentally took a pic of the code?

Anyways, I'm happy because all Electivires will end up Adamant, and all have standard movesets. All I need to do is softreset for IVs.
