The 8-bit preview sprites are great, but we need the Pokémon to be in 8-bit when we’re encountering them or viewing them individually, too. What do you think?

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of them, I saw these sprites for years in FR/LG and Emerald and beyond, so they don't really do much for me.

I'd like the sprites to stay. I love the nostalgia and everything. I hope they keep this as an on/off option because I'm sincerely curious how an 'official' 8-bit sprite of the 6th generation (and onward) would look like

Indeed that seems to be the case, unfortuantely. Both because I'm starting to get annoyed of them this long after April Fools and because they can't be kept.
