Hi everyone! I have this fun, sorta game like thing.

Each player must come up with their own Signature Move!
It can be status or damaging.

Here's my example.

Move Name: Odor-Detection
Move Exclusive to: Swinub Line
Pokemon Type: Normal
Move Type: Status
Power: ---
Accuracy: ---
PP: 5
Effect: When used, user sniffs out opponent, disallowing them to use any protect-like moves(Includes things like protect, detect, mat block).
User must be active to be used(basically, the user must be actively fighting, not fainted or in the party for this move to have effect).
Any protect-based move will fail if this is in play.

So, have fun with this!

I've got one...

Move: Impersonate
Signature of: Zorua family (as if Zoroark really needs another signature move, but whatever)
Type: Dark/Status
PP: 20

The user impersonates the Pokémon they're disguised as and attempts to execute one of their moves.

Notes: More Specifically, if Illusion is active this will allow the user to perform a move known by the Pokemon they are impersonating (the only difference is Zorua/Zoroark's stats and Dark-type STAB); the player can select which move is to be performed, but if the Illusion is broken for any reason, Impersonate will fail. Although the move itself has 20 PP, it also deducts one PP from the owner of the move in question, so it is effectively limited to the same PP as the copied move(s) -- it cannot be used to copy a move that is out of PP. Only the Zorua/Zoroark's Trainer is informed that "[Pokemon] used Impersonate! [Pokemon] used [move]!" -- opponents are informed only that the Pokemon used the copied move.

Guardian Angel
Signature move of the Ralts line
Type: Normal
PP: 10
Priority: +3

The targeted ally will survive any damage that would have caused it to faint with 1 HP remaining. Chance of success decreases with successive use.

A tool for doubles that could be very dangerous coupled with any pinch strategies, that fits the protective nature of the Ralts line.

I'll just leave this here (quoting myself from the create-a-move thread, since the move in question fits this thread):

Aura Storm
type: Fighting (special)
power: 150
accuracy: 90
PP: 5
Description/comment: "The user builds up its aura and releases it in a devastating beam. The user must rest on the next turn, however." Lucario's signature move, giving it a powerful Aura weapon beyond Aura Sphere. And if it can be powered up by Wonder Launcher, just imagine a triple battle where you have a Pokemon with Skill Swap between Lucario and a Pokemon with Wonder Launcher. First turn, Skill Swap Wonder Launcher to the middle Pokemon, maybe boost Lucario's accuracy that turn. Second turn, repeat, only moving Wonder Launcher onto Lucario. Third turn, unleash Aura Storm, more accurate and more powerful. And the opponent's reaction: first turn - "Wait, what are you even doing?" second turn - "Okay, going to power up Aura Sphere, but why accuracy?" third turn - "Bring me my brown pants."

Kelp Cloak
Move exclusive to: Skrelp line
Poison-type
Power: --
Accuracy: --
PP: 10
Effect: The Pokemon disguises itself as a kelp plant. Any Pokemon who uses a direct contact move takes damage and is inflicted with Poison. This moves effect only lasts for one turn and has a higher chance of failure upon succession.

Well, we already have a Rock-type version of Hyper Beam so why not a Fighting type version?

Not to mention Fire, Water, Grass, and Dragon, the Dragon type version also being a signature move.

This is going really well!
Here's another move from me.
Move name: Smog Cloak
Exclusive to: Koffing Line
Pokemon type: Poison
Move type: Status
PP: 5
Power: ---
Accuracy: ---

Priority: -2

Accuracy: 75%
PP: 20

Backstab (Exclusive to the Zoroark and Weavile lines, and based on the Spy's signature move from Team Fortress 2)

PP: 8/8
Power: 120
Accuracy: 100%
Type: Dark

Move type: Physical move with both physical and special damage dealt and a high chance at doing critical damage

Summary: The user disappears and reappears behind the unsuspecting victim, and stabs it in the back violently and repeatedly with its deadly claws. Bypasses protects and substitutes.

Priority: +1

Seem a bit overpowered, don't you think? I would at least make this move only have 1 PP so it's like your ace-in-the-hole.

Actually now that I think about it one shot is probably all they'll need, since both Weavile and Zoroark are both extremely frail pokemon.

Move Name: Phoenix Fire
Move Exclusive to: Moltres and Ho-oh
Move Type: Fire
Power: 120
Accuracy: 100
PP: 8/8
Effect: The user charges itself with power from the sunlight. In the same turn, it expels a huge beam of fire at one target Pokemon.

Don't you mean 5PP? What you describe is already basically an accuracy-boosted Fire Blast....

Well, I have a few ideas for a vulpix/ninetales move, all based on the idea of 'kitsune-bi' or 'fox fire'.

As a general idea for a Foxfire move:.

Foxfire
Type: Special/status
Power: 50
Accuracy: 95%
PP: 15
Effect: 20% chance to burn + 20% chance to confuse
Burning and confusion are calculated separately, so you could get either, neither or both statuses. Potentially.

Or a different move, which is rather less tactical and rather more brutal:

Nine Fireballs
Type: Special
Power: 10
Accuracy: 90%
PP: 10
Effect: Nine attacks.

This attack consists of nine separate attacks exactly like the above. They'd probably be dealt with together, to save animation time, though if a substitute was destroyed or the enemy was defeated, the game would pause to register what had happened before it continued onto the next target. So this way, it could continue after defeating an opposing pokemon, which I think would be an interesting tactical touch, though it's likely not a powerful enough move to make any serious impact.

And as an idea for my own personal signature move, which I shall flatteringly call 'Kyuubi Dash':

Kyuubi Dash
Type: Status
Accuracy: 80%
PP: 10
Effect: When used, there is an 80% chance the target will be burned before Kyuubi turns tails and flees, similar to U-turn. Kyuubi will run away regardless of whether or not the burning hits, because he's somewhat cowa- uh, I mean pragmatic. Yes.

Personally, I think Foxfire was my best idea of the three (even if it is a bit crazy), though Nine Fireballs would be interesting if somewhat flawed. Kyuubi Dash is a bit ridiculous, but it suits me nicely.

Here's a few.

Sun Dance
Pokémon: Bellossom
Type: Grass
Category: Status
PP: 15
Power: --
Accuracy: --
A dance to call forth the Sun. It raises the user's Special Attack and Special Defense by 1 stage and heals 1/4 of its HP. Its effects double under sunny weather. If used during any other weather, it has no effect, but it has a 50% chance of removing the current weather.

Pincer Crush
Pokémon: Pinsir
Type: Bug
Category: Physical
PP: 10
Power: 100
Accuracy: 85%
Using its powerful pincers, it crushes its opponents with huge force. Has a 30% chance of lowering the foe's Defense by 1 stage.

Game engine doesn't support that, though - in double/triples the remaining hits could continue on with the next target, but in singles, nope, because replacement Pokemon are sent in after all attacks/effects have finished executing.

Other than that it does sounds like an awesome move, though I'd probably tweak the power to 15 and accuracy 70% (for more a variable effective power; averages 6 hits)

Metamorphosis

Type: Bug
Class: Special
Power: 120
Accuracy: 70
PP: 5
Priority: +4
Exclusive to: Butterfree

Flavor Text: The Pokémon calls on its friends to help it reach its full potential. The more friends present, the stronger the attack. Leaves the target with a status condition.

Effect: If Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, Pidgeot, or Pikachu are in the team, this move won't miss. If they're all in the team, this move inflicts 150 damage. Has a 100% chance to inflict a random status condition, either Freeze, Burn, Paralysis, Poison, Sleep or Confusion.

I'm gonna pull from my post in the create a move thread of not too long ago. Premise was to give Rock and Steel more powerful special moves than Power Gem and Flash Cannon

Flak Cannon:
Pokemon: Clawitzer, Blastoise, or Magnezone
Type: Steel
Power: 110
Accuracy: 75
PP: 5
Special
Description: The user summons minerals from the ground around it to launch at the enemy. If it misses and/or is used in a double/triple battle, deals 1/16 total HP damage to the adjacent targets. Has a 10% chance to burn.
Visual: A shell is fired from the cannon like appendage of the user. In Magnezone's case, it reveals a concealed cannon on its underside and fires from there.

Starstorm:
Pokemon: Archeops, Jirachi, or Absol
Type: Rock
Power: 110
Accuracy: 75
PP: 5
Special
Description: The user unleashes the stars and bombards the battlefield. If it misses and/or is used in a double/triple battle, deals 1/16 total HP damage to the adjacent targets. Has a 10% chance to freeze (because meteors are largely ice).
Visual: The user howls to the sky and is answered with a meteor shower.

I'd have to name an Absol who had that "Ness," and right before using it, well, any Smash Bros. fan would know where I'm going with this.
