I've been challenged by a few mates to make a team up to Level 70 so we can beat each other through the Colosseum Club room thing with no restrictions. While we don't bother to go fight online and such we are serious-ish players between ourselves, and I've been trying to build a team. Here it is as I think it stands - none of the Pokémon are actually at this level yet, but this is the plan.

Bold are changes made from advice given

1: Articuno (we've arranged to have only 1 Legendary each)
Nature - Sassy
Item - NeverMeltIce
Moves -
Ice Beam
Blizzard
Reflect
Toxic

2: Togekiss
Nature - Careful
Item - Scope Lens
Moves -
Air Slash
Aura Sphere?
Yawn
Wish?

3: Metagross
Nature - Impish
Item - Iron Plate
Moves -
Hammer Arm
Pursuit?
Meteor Mash
Zen Headbutt

4: Tyranitar
Nature - Quiet
Item - Hard Stone
Moves -
Hyper Beam
Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake

5: Dragonite
Nature - Brave
Item - Draco Plate
Moves -
Dragon Rush
Surf
Dragon Claw
Aqua Tail

6: Electivire
Nature - Bashful
Item - Magnet
Moves -
Thunder
Still not sure yet
Flamethrower
Earthquake

If there's any more info you need then go for it, but please tell me if this is any good!! Thanks.
EDIT: I have no idea on EVs 'cause none of the Pokémon are at this level and I don't know if they remain the same - this is my first real attempt at any sort of competitive team.

could you post ev's, nature, items, then a little description of the strategy for each?

Keeping in mind that this isn't 100% competative, this isn't too bad. Just a few things that need consideration:

Articuno. All three of it's attacks are Ice type, and that's not necissary at all. I'd go with Ice Beam over Blizzard for accuracy, and drop Avalanche all together because Articuno's special attack stat is better than its physical (plus it isn't all that slow, so it wouldn't be activating that double damage). Also keep in mind that Articuno is primarily defensive. You have the right idea with Reflect. Roost might also be a good idea for recovery. As for the other move slots, Toxic is always fun, and so is Substitute if you have the confidence as a non-competative player to use it.

Togekiss. Even with Yawn to put your opponents to sleep, this Togekiss is going to be taking a lot of damage. Both Solar Beam and Sky Attack are two-turn moves. Stay away from both of them because it'll give your opponent too many free moves. And keep to the Special Attack stat for its offensive moves because it's drastically higher than its physical. Air Slash is good.

Metagross. Keep Zen Headbutt but get rid of Psychic. There's no need for two attacks of the same type, especially when one uses the inferior stat.

Tyranitar. This doesn't look too bad. Hyper Beam usually isn't a good idea, but for your purposes, it's probably okay.

Dragonite. The same thing with Articuno. Three Dragon moves aren't necissary, especially on a Pokemon with such a good movepool to choose from. Earthquake, Aqua Tail, Flamethrower, Superpower, Thunderbolt... Get some good coverage with it.

Electrivire. Thunder and Discharge. Choose one over the other.

Thank you for the advice. Um I'm still not sure what to do with Togekiss; I've changed around the moveset a little bit looking for special attacks (hence Aura Sphere); does Wish work as well? Likewise Metagross: Pursuit? And for that big yellow bearlike fuzzy thing, it still has Thunderpunch, would that work too?

I'd really drop Blizzard from Articuno. It's Sp.A is nice as it is, and the Nevermeltice powers it's Ice Beam well anyway. Roost lets it wall more effectively and cuts its weakness to Rock and Electric attacks for a turn.

For Togekiss, Aura Sphere is great, but I'd drop Wish for Nasty Plot.

Tyranitar... Why'd you say it uses Hyper Beam again?

Persuit might be good on Metagross. I want to train one sometime but I don't actually know much about using it competatively, it moves like mollasses I think and can usually take some hits so people might want to switch when you bring it out.

Electivire's probably the best Thunderpuncher in the game with his attack and being electric-type, I'd give him it. You might also consider Ice Punch and Cross Chop for type coverage. I don't remember if Cross Chop was some kind of event move or not though.
