I just saw this on the news, so i do not have a quote. If someone finds one, link it and i'll post the quote! For now, i'll quote what i remember from watching the show about 2 minutes ago.

I just saw on the news that a man went into the bank in a black sweater and white mask.

He handed a note to a woman behind the desk, telling her he had a gun and he wanted money.

A few seconds after, an older man (age ranging 50-60) with gray hair jumped on this man, pulling him to the ground. The man later said he was afraid the robber would hurt his wife. He held the man down until the police had a chance to arrive.

During this time, his wife had run up to the robber (being held on the floor) and kicked him in the side, shouting "Take that! Thats what you get for endangering me and my husband!"

The robber was arrested by police when they arrived.

This... is why i love America. Old men can take down robbers.

Note: If this is in the wrong forum, please move it :)

Lol, that old lady is just stupid...
Ya, go kick the robber in side, that's a good idea.

Stupid crazy old lady...

how is that stupid?

and everyone knows old people don't go weaker with age; they just learn to hide their power.

But the robber was being held down by the old man, so he couldn't move anyways. XD It was just hilarious to watch her do that on TV... yay for security cameras!

Very very true. :)

Ya, but just the idea of the frail old lady being so arrogant as to kick the robber when he's down.
To be honest, the old man and the old woman were a bit to gung-ho (probably not how it's spelt) about it.
"A robber claiming he has a gun! Jump! And now you kick him!"

They got so lucky. They probably would have been shot, and I can't say I'd have felt sorry for them.

There are only two things that would have made this cooler.

1. If the guy was my grandpa, which he could have been were his wife not there, since I know his wife is in Olympia right now.
2. If the guy had a katana.

But this is awesome. Robbers nowadays are really getting their buts kicked in the most unlikely of ways.

Don't fuck with the elderly is all I have to say. And this would have been much better if the old man had a cane.

That's some old couple... they probably used to be agents or something...

Dude, didn't you hear about the anime geek who was being robbed (his PS3 had been stolen a few days before) and to protect his stuff, he pulled out a Katana and stabbed the robber to death. XDDD Now if HE had been at this bank...

This reminds me of the video on youtube about the "power of old people."

Dude didn't stab from what I read (we actually have a thread about that one in this forum), but sliced... almost took the dude's hand off and cut the robber's neck.

I agree.

I kinda skimmed the topic, so sorry if someone already said this, but did you hear about the old Navy SEAL (in his 70s, I think) who snapped a gunman's neck on a cruise (or something) out past the Florida Keys? Or in that area :p
It's been a while since I heard the story, but I wanted to give that dude $5 just for being awesome :p
