I'm obsessed with ManaShipping. I was just wondering if there were any other fans of the ship. I'm interested in having a discussion about ManaShipping in general, and possibly the origin of its ship name (I know all ships have an origin...).

If you haven't come across ManaShipping before, it's the Volkner x Gardenia (DenNat?) ship.

^_^; Well, I can tell you the origin? Mana is the earth's spiritual energy in all elemental things (and in the other hand, it's a tree, an egyptian girl, and Manaphy's cry; those don't count). And as fauna of the earth and lightning of the sky, =3 it's just a way for two extremes to be harmonized. ...Or something close to that.

Of course, I know this 'cuz I named it. ^^; Back when the Japanese names were revealed; I thought Natane was the bomb and Denji was hot, so you know how that story goes. I hurried to name is ASAP, because I believed I'd be sticking with it. ...Well I didn't quite (Gaiashipping and Ignitionshipping worked more for me over time), =3 but I'll stay here and talk. Might rekindle something.

Ah yes, I was hoping you would (I was thinking of PMing you for an explanation, but I decided to have a discussion thread instead).

Same with me. I love pairing the awesome characters together. I remember when my brother first got his Pokemon Diamond (a few months back...), I immediately got hold of the manual and went to check who the prettiest female, and the hottest male were... and pair them together.

Mana's a really nice name for the ship (it's, as I say "cute"), but the word I associate with VolknerGardenia is "sunshine". It's rather strange, but believe me, it's really fitting.

Well, Volkner's not quite the sunniest person, but his hair works for that. On the other hand, Gardenia's sunshine, butterflies, and happiness all rolled into one. She doesn't have a single problem invading anyone's personal space. Bet she likes blonds for that reason: they all have sunshine for hair. =3

Yeah, that's one.
The definition of sunshine in my Word (Microsoft) dictionary is sunlight, other stuff, and it can also mean something about joy, happiness and warmth. Isn't that what Volkner's just lacking? Gardenia, though, is full of it. They balance each other out! <3
