Manga character in RR set?

So I was at the Rising Rivals prerelease today (second place whoo!) and noticed something unusual.

Is the Underground Expedition fellow Junk from PokeWake? Both are by Himeno, after all. Here's some pictures.

Someone pointed out that Junk's hair is longer, but since it's in a ponytail it could be behind him. The bangs have to be considered given that he's wearing a pith helmet on the card. But the outfit is the same, as is the general look.

I see a sight resembalance in both must be a "hidden" referance
