March 2010 CoroCoro features new Pokémon, Ranger game: ''Zoroark'' to star the upcoming movie

Scans from the March 2010 issue of CoroCoro have surfaced, revealing the new Pokémon named Zoroark, the Pokémon silhouetted on Pokémon Sunday, as well as its pre-evolution, Zorua. Zoroark holds the "key" to the upcoming Pokémon movie, Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark. The scans also feature information on the upcoming game, Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light.

Alright, finally! The first Generation V Pokémon is officially revealed, and I must say, I like to looks of it. Monster Fox, eh? I'll be having him on my team, most definately. The pre-evolution looks pretty cute too.

Anyone else think that this is just Lucario re-made, though? It does seem very similar to him, you know, being a two-stage non-legendary Pokémon who has their own movie. Still, it's a pretty awesome Pokémon and has got me really excited!

Let the fifth generation of games... begin.

hey, it actually looks kinda cool!

but those photoshopped pics a couple people I know did don't look much like this guy besides shape...

"Zoroark", though, that's kind of a lame name... I hope the English version changes it and comes out better than that. they tend to do pretty well with Pokemon names, though, so I'm not worried.

serebii also said that corocoro confirms the Z in the film title is now Zoroark witch indicates that Zoroark has illusionary abilities as the title is now Ruler of Illusions Zoroark.:spin:

While everyone is cumming at those Pokemon, may I ask if the Ranger scans were also leaked?

That's way more interesting than all that fifth Generation... OMG, do I sound like Dogasu?

And no, I'm not asking about that shrunken art on Merrick's website.

Yes they did, they didn't reveal much at all

Okay, so who here thinks the movie's dub title will be " The Zoroark of Illusions?"

Re: March 2010 CoroCoro feature new Pokémon, Ranger: ''Zoroark'' to star the upcoming

... name kinda sucks but the Monster Fox Pokemon sounds FREAKING COOL!!!

Re: March 2010 CoroCoro feature new Pokémon, Ranger: ''Zoroark'' to star the upcoming

Sweet.

...why is the first stage called "Zorua"? The katakana next to him clearly say Zoroa, not Zorua.

Very cool. I'll be adding this guy to my dark team for sure. In fact, I need to update that list.

Wow!! I didn't see it coming that soon, but I'm pleased with it. And we got not one, but two Gen V Pokémon revealed simultaneously -a whole evolution line!! When did that happend in previous generations?

Officially, I'm happy now.

(though the names do suck, I hope they got changed for the international release).

Yeah, this.

I actually don't mind these names, though Zoroark is kinda weird official romanization, but whatever. :p But then again, I always nickname my pokémon anyways.

Actually, I ALWAYS nickname my Pokémon, but still, that's the name we'll get in the tons of merchandise, and everytime I fight one in the wild or owned by another trainer, I'll get to see Zoroark, that's why the names do matter.

But I see the meaning behind the name. "Zoro" must come from "Zorro", Spanish for fox, and the rest, well, it's pretty obvious isn't it?

Those aren't going to be the NA names though, right?

Re: March 2010 CoroCoro feature new Pokémon, Ranger: ''Zoroark'' to star the upcoming

The katakana next to the pre-evolution is definately "Zoroa", not "Zorua".
The katakana on Zoroark looks like "Zo-ro-a-ku" Zoroak, instead of Zoroark?

Zoroaku...evil fox? lol
Am I the only one who thinks that they look like Dark/Fire types, instead of just Dark?
I love Zoroa/Zorua. *v* So cuuuute. <33

Epic reveal.

I am liking the new Pokémon. The silhouette turned out to be pretty much along the lines of what the we thought, and we get a kick-ass pre-evolution to boot.

Re: March 2010 CoroCoro feature new Pokémon, Ranger: ''Zoroark'' to star the upcoming

Does anyone think the pre-evolution looks like a Shinx in a way? Or maybe a Tom Nook Tanuki?

"Monster fox", eh? I so want to catch one of those in..Whatever the main version of the new games are.

What do the names mean?

I think the English name for it is Zorua. Not sure, though.
