The problem seems to be that marijuana alleviates certain symptoms of diseases (notably multiple sclerosis and dementia) but it also can conceivably lead to developing psychotic symptoms later in life.

^New Scientist magazine has done many articles on the subject.
I did a random search for marijuana, and came up with a cache of articles concerning both marijuana and alcohol.ChaosRocket said:I'm not sure which article you're trying to point to, I see the top story is "alcohol, not drugs, poses biggest date rape risk."
If you'd have scrolled down the list of articles, I believe there's some new information on that subject as recently as mid-2005.I've not seen any evidence that marijuana causes you to develop "psychotic symptoms" I thought that was some old propaganda they passed around in the 60s that turned out not to be true.
Sometimes. Some alcoholics aren't violent at all.Though it could be argued that being an alcoholic causes people to act pretty psycho. There's also the fact that marijuana isn't even addictive and alcohol is.
